Gotta admit. Binged all your vids 100x over and was pulling hair waiting for a new episode. Last week got so hyped off one of your vids i had to gear up and go. It was pounding but went anyways and scored big enenue for poke. Shout out to Justin Lee, great ambassador of the ocean we are honored to have here on the rock. I had to binge all of yalls competition footage as well from other youtubers, daniel mann etc.
As an Idaho boy myself I gotta say that there aren't many places better for bow hunting! Would be awesome to see you come out here and hit something cool.
Yes to the boat! Where I come from we leave the scales on the squirrel fish until after they are cooked. It steams the meat nicely and then the scales peel off easily with low chance of gutting your own finger!
I think a boat would be good. It’ll give you access to more hunting spots and maybe we’ll all get to see different and unique things that we can’t on shore dives. Loving your vids 🤙
For a good grip. Buy 5 or 6 rubber O-rings, Take off the prongs and slide them on to where you want them. Then cover them in some heat shrink wrap and it’s good to go. Awesome vid!!
That squirrel fish is the best eating fish. I love to grill that fish with scale on guys on and eat with a sauce called finadeni. To make the sauce. Dice up some onion and garlic then soy sauce and a little of vinegar and some grinded or fresh hot pepper and stir it all up. And enjoy. Love your videos!
thanks for the 3 prong vid. made my day sitting here riding out this typhoon here in Okinawa. just starting to learn the whole pe spear thing( o ly locals can use a speargun here) got me a coral trout the other day
Yes buy a boat. Not sure that your videos can be any more epic but I guess that would be the way to take it to a whole new level. I will for sure be buying some merch. Looks like great designs, and it is the least I can do for all the awesome advice you give.
From Maui and the ala’ihi is one of my favorite fish! If you ever see one again I would recommend shooting it and trying a sabao soup! One of the cooler ways and only way I cook them now.
That squirrel fish tho..had the same experience..be careful when cleaning em. Some sharp armor. Right on Ryan. Always stoked to watch this channel. Dive safe.
Ryan and company always putting 🔥vids out also try looking into the evolve heat shrink tubing grip it really helps with griping and holding the 3 prong less slips and more comfortable in hand
Bro got my list for you! Lol #1 Boat!!!! Yessir!!! #2 3prong, shorten up the rubbah, and can use rubber splice tape for grip: wrap pull and overlap half of the tape on the way up. #3 fresh fish! Recipe looks sooo ono! Great footage, awesome dive... girls are hammahz! 🤙Aloha
Have you ever seen that resin glue that dries with a uv light? You can use that to dot the circumference where you want her to choke up and will provide something for her finger tips to grip.
ala E Hee. THank you for posting this vid now I can see major differences on how fish react to aggressive hunt mode vs cool & calm,. No wonda when I reach the bottom all the fish are gone. I got that jus rush attitude. Thanks Ryan
Justin didn’t teach you the secret grip? Cut up an old bicycle tire tube in long skinny strips and wrap it around the spear where the rubber sling allows your hand to stretch it to👌🏽
I love how she enter the video commentating hahahhaha that was funny knowing sam actitud and how she is based on the vids she had to do it hahaha she the goat
Pro clubs are a good shirt to use. We always make custom shirts for graduation and hunting(boaz) just a suggestion 🤙🏽 There’s long sleeve and short sleeve. “Pro Clubs”
I love the shore dives and would be sad to see less dives from shore but then again it would be awesome if you got a boat and the cool adventures to be had with one. Either way your videos are top notch man keep pumping them out 👌🏾👌🏾
I have a hybrid kowabunga too just ljke that and good fun too. I use to work for hammerhead doing manufacturing operations and made a custom carbon graphite 10ft with custom grip and custom prongs for landing uhus, ukus, kalas, etc. Its not meant for small game less than 4lbs
you guys got the name perfect every time. and take a look at the solo skiff boats. i just got one specifically for spear fishing and there perfect. you could also throw it on a car with racks. so no need for a truck or trailer. i recommend the 6 horse tohatsu motor.
Hey Ryan, if you're interested and want some recipe ideas Some of my favourite Fish recipe's (asian ones): Chinese fish with sweet and sour sauce (Squirrel shape) Canton Style Salt and Pepper fish Chinese Style Steamed fish (shallots and ginger) Crispy fish with tamarind sauce Thai Style Grilled fish with Seafood sauce (fish sauce) Deep fried fish with Green Mango salad Vietnamese caramelised braised fish (one of my favourites) Vietnamese sweet and sour fish soup (quite herby) Fish head curry
Here’s a suggestion Shorten your band or a stronger band gauge and add your grip at the right point...You’ll still catch fish with what you’re currently using....but I like to have just a little bit more spear towards the targets and less human arm🤙🏽🤙🏽
8’ Yokooji 1/2 carbon 1/2 graphite tracks and shoots faster than the hybrids, if you still can get your hands on one. Add a sand epoxy grip and you get an awesome 3 prong for the type of fish you are shooting.
Pretty durable so far but with hard use any three prongs are kinda expendable. Avoid direct rock hits and shooting giant fish and should get some good years!
those ala'ihi are amazing, caught some 2 weeks ago and they tasted sooo good, similar to kole. and yeah after I speared my first one I'm not doing anytime soon the amount of stabs I got from scaling him is immeasurable haha
You should get some sort of fish grill. I think it would help with making the cooking more interesting, not that it isn’t right now, but the cooking is a big part of your content, and if you are going to do it, you should do it right! Sick video man🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Hello ryan , did you purchase your 120cm rob allen roller or did you convert it to a roller? i have a tuna railgun 1200 and was thingking making it a roller
Alaihi and nohu are the 2 fishes I cut off fins before any handling. Get that boat! Also Ryan I’ve been noticing a gradual increase pidgin in your speech over the time I’ve been watching your channel 😂 🤙
Yes you definitely need that boat
Am yes
Yessir my Monday just went from lame to epic 🔥
YASSSS SASSY SAM VOICEOVER 💅🏻
cats are cool my wife brought one home like 2 years ago and he really grew on me. i never had a cat growing up now my tuxedo cat cant be lived without
when cleaning ala'ihi i use cutting plyers to break the spins or cut them before scaling the fish
Yup

16:39 Sam hesitated but sounds correct. The learning curve is interesting. Quality underwater footage.
She’s really brave to diving in deep water without fear! I really enjoy
Without fear there is no bravery. Feeling fear but doing it anyway - that's brave. But really I agree with what you mean to say 😊✌
Yes to the boat! Where I come from we leave the scales on the squirrel fish until after they are cooked. It steams the meat nicely and then the scales peel off easily with low chance of gutting your own finger!
The pink spear, the rubber needs to be trim down a couple inches & spread the tip a lil further apart🤙🤙🤙
Ryan get a boat!! Then all of us Big island fans can pay for some dope expeditions with you
InstaBlaster.
I think a boat would be good. It’ll give you access to more hunting spots and maybe we’ll all get to see different and unique things that we can’t on shore dives. Loving your vids 🤙

Boat gets my vote- will increase your subscribership 100%
Why don’t you ever do an Uni catch and cook? I see them everywhere in the videos. Btw love the vids!
So true...gotta be relaxed underwater ..the fish will be alot more curious when they dont feel threatened or super aggressive.
I really enjoy watching all your videos😍👌 One of the best spearfishing channels for me. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Justin didn’t teach you the secret grip? Cut up an old bicycle tire tube in long skinny strips and wrap it around the spear where the rubber sling allows your hand to stretch it to👌🏽

I use a welded up plow disc for my wok. We call them discadas or cowboy cookers here in Nevada.
Let’s go Ryan
You should wrap electric tape around where she grips the three prong for grip. I got the same three prong and helps a lot
Yeessah! Mahalo for the great vid. And yes....get a boat!!!
Pro clubs are a good shirt to use. We always make custom shirts for graduation and hunting(boaz) just a suggestion 🤙🏽 There’s long sleeve and short sleeve. “Pro Clubs”
Loving the content🔥🤙 Love how u go out of ur way to cater to the kittens ❤️ Even if it means not a lot of flowing content.
I love the shore dives and would be sad to see less dives from shore but then again it would be awesome if you got a boat and the cool adventures to be had with one. Either way your videos are top notch man keep pumping them out 👌🏾👌🏾
do a quick how-to on making grip for the 3 prong, and the various ways to create your own grip wrap

Great video! Do you have any recommendations for a spear I can get. I’m looking for my first three prong and I want to know which one is high quality.
I just got a pole. How much do you normally pull the band?
😂 🤣you tell em Sam!!🤣
An inflatable would be sweet, use the RIB in fair weather and save the big trips for your island friends big boats :)
I usually get rope and rap it around and put electric tape to where ever you feel comfortable for your grip
Make a video on how to hands free equalize
Alaihi and nohu are the 2 fishes I cut off fins before any handling. Get that boat! Also Ryan I’ve been noticing a gradual increase pidgin in your speech over the time I’ve been watching your channel 😂 🤙
