In my observation, the Quality of life for expatriates in Countries like Kenya south Africa etc is higher, you can find most of the amenities found still in their country but in a cheaper way, in terms of housing cost of living posh affordable hotel great health care etc.Its home away from home but in a more quality way.
Actually its not quite true, at least for us. Coast of living in Kenya is going up a lot. Ot would be much cheaper for us to live in Asia or Europe at this point.
@@DaveMani You're right! Kenya is slowly becoming over priced. Look at the real estate prices, Nairobi apartments are now neck-in-neck with those of Dubai. The influx of new investments and high net worth expats is making folks to acquire expensive taste for everything hence pushing up price tags! Eating out in a fancy place can break bank while a weekend safari outing is becoming a sacrifice 😢
@@DaveMani Speaking from experience, I reside in a £1200 house in the UK, excluding bills, and it's neither comfortable nor luxurious. Luxury seems unattainable for me in the UK. With the same amount in Kenya, I could afford a 5-bedroom house with a pool and a private compound, all while earning a comparable income to my NHS salary. Dining at a high-end restaurant in the UK costs around £200 for two, whereas in Kenya, a similar meal would be less than £60. In the NHS, the waiting time ranges from 3 to 7 hours, while in Kenya, even in public hospitals, the maximum waiting time is 2 to 3 hours, which some might still consider lengthy. Not to mention, GP booking and waiting times can extend to 2-4 days in the UK, while in Kenya, it's a walk-in appointment. Healthcare in Kenya is dynamic, with service quality tied to financial capacity. In the UK, private healthcare is often unaffordable for the majority, leading to an influx of people in public hospitals, where the care quality is exceptional but at the expense of longer waiting times. The inflation rate in the UK is so severe that the previous prime minister resigned within a record time of 4 days. In summary, for an expatriate moving from a fast-paced, economically developed first-world country to a mid-economy where amenities vary based on financial means, the overall quality of life tends to be better.
I do agree with you 100℅, it's coz of this president Ruto the Zachaeous the tax collector😂😂😂, sorry though his tenure will end and life will go back to normal😂😂
