Though it not like there hasnt been any game that hasnt acomplished what i mentioned earlier while managed to keep a large fan base, arknights is a good example. It's just really hard to balance these things, i know, i wasn't complaining earlier, just pointing out why many ppl dont like the powercrept since things arent just simple as wanting some characters or not wanting them for many players.

But there are people in the world who found joy / fun in chasing the meta, having the most optimal thing. You didn't say the most important thing about Getian and Shamane. IF their debuffs can stack (that is a big IF) - just use both of them and reduce enemies reality def into oblivion - very good in boss fight isnt it?. We know that Shamane's debuff is [Stats Down]. And Getian debuff has special name so it should be [Neg Status]. And IF these debuffs can stack - they both will work together perfectly fine.
This is what I am thinking as well Both of them on the same team will really hit hard since both are reality damage Add An Lee who can buff damage and defense while providing some control and to top it off, also deals Reality damage for a really good combo Add in Tooth Fairy, she'll improve everyone's damage with crit debuffs while also improving Shamane's damage even better since he can also convert excess Crit rate to Crit damage The only drawback that TF has at this team is that she deals Mental damage but then again, Shamane has a global debuff so she'll only really be missing out on Ge Tian's debuff
Thank you, I’m so glad you’re telling it like it is and not fanning the flames of drama, it’s crazy to me to see people sad they built/pulled Eternity when 1.6 is a whole 18 weeks away so that’s already a long time for getting value out of her, and even after Jiu is released Eternity will still have her own niche and be viable.
My only problem is that the limited banner is completely separate so you can't pity or 50/50 it. You have to save your pulls and even then you could just get Babel 💀.
The hard pity, based on what he said in the previous video, is 200 pulls. You also get a ticket for each pull & you can exchange 200 of those tickets for the character. So if you go to 200, you will end up with 2 copies of the character.
@@milmil5350200 is not hard pity on this banner, the pity on this banner is same as regular, meaning 140 hard pity max. 1 pull on the banner gives you 1 exchange item, and 200 can be exchanged for 1 copy. You also get 30 free rolls during the patch ( 10 from limited banner, 20 from log in) So, unless you want her portrays, you only need to save 80~110 rolls max.
In my case, I would skip Jiu because I really want to guarantee that I get Isolde and Vila, however I really really want to have just one copy of Yenisei, but the nature of Jiu’s banner makes it really difficult to decide weather should I try to get her.
Surprisingly, powercreep isn’t too much of an issue with this game. It’s more the complexity of each kit and the gameplay that is increasing over time. Added features like eureka and the usage of individual character buffs/debuffs. Characters like Regulus and A Knight will probably be more than capable of beating endgame 1.6 content. But using them in combat would definitely not be as interesting as using Spathodea or the upcoming 1.6 characters with their more fleshed out kits.
I mean skipping someone like Black Dwarf for Jiu because they are the same Afflatus, while having different damage types, is completely understandable. If you want one DPS for each damage type of each Afflatus you would end up with 8 characters you would have to bring to Insight 3 and Resonance to like 10! (Btw i am not even counting Intellect and Spirit units since Intellect enemies are extremely rare and while Spirit enemies are more common, we dont have a 6 Star Intellect DPS yet. With them included we would have 12 units!)
you dont even need dps of the same affalatus but different damage type .... some people really like misleading other making it as if ur screwed if u got no mental or reality dps.... Mummy Kaalaa Baunaa is still pull-worthy. 2. Eternity's fate after the patch still pending. 3. Shamane may still be powercrept by Ge Tian. 4. Yenisei is best girl. That said, here's my impromptu essay which I wrote while I was supposed to be out there celebrating New Year's Eve lol For *Black Dwarf*, I'm so happy that someone finally says it. Due to damage type difference and the gap between 1.3 and 1.6, it is completely fine to pull Black Dwarf in 1.3! If anything, it's Eternity who has to worry about her position in the meta. About Eternity though, I think it is not that meaningful to use a tier list that doesn't have the unit of comparison here, i.e. Quniang. We just have to wait and see what happens to Eternity after the patch. I think she will likely remain A tier, but maybe down to Lilya's level. For *Shamane*, despite his "intended playstyle" as a crit-overflowing Ult-spammer, I think some people prefer to use Centurion as their main carry for Beast Reality, because of a couple reasons (note that there's going to be a huge Shamane slander in this part): 1) Centurion simply hits harder: Even without counting the Moxie-based damage bonus from her i1 or Victorious General, Centurion's base stat is higher than Shamane. This fact remains even when we compare the two on their i1. A Centurion with full Moxie would have a base +30% damage dealt on her attacks; and I said "base", because I have not even added the Moxie multiplier on her ST card, which on level 1 with full Moxie grants an additional +40% damage and scales up to +100% damage on level 3. Meanwhile, Shamane's i1 with three debuffs (which is very easy to maintain) would grant him a mere +24% damage dealt. 2) Shamane needs portrays to fully shine: Okay, we all know that Shamane's main point is that he can spam his Ult and that his Ult enjoys the crit overflow mechanic. Unfortunately, those who play with this mechanic usually needs portrays to maximize its potential. For example, Eagle. Her Ult's base crit rate gets up to 100% at P4, meaning every excess additional crit rate from her base stat and resonance would overflow into crit damage, and this is very easy to achieve because she's a 4*. Heck, you even get her at P0 for free! How about Shamane? Well, his Ult's base crit rate also gets up to 100% at P5, but because he's a 6* limited character, I don't think it's that easy to get him up to P5, especially if you pulled for Jessica in the banner before his and would like to pull Black Dwarf as well in the banner after his, of course unless you're a whale. 3) Shamane's "design flaw": Finally, one thing I observed about good carries regardless their rarity level, is that their whole design (skill design, insight bonus, and portrays) usually focuses on one mechanic and grants a lot of damage buffs using that mechanic (e.g. Centurion's Moxie, Eagle's crit overflow, Jessica's Poison, and Melania's Ult-spamming). Unfortunately, Shamane is not designed in this way. His kit is split between crit-overflow Ult-spamming and debuff-based damage boost. Imagine if his i1 is a mass crit resist and crit def debuff like Tooth Fairy's i1, which then would help him to get his Ult's crit rate up to 100% without resonance or portrays. That would be a completely different story. I think all these might explain a bit why Centurion, despite her lack of fancy ST high damage Ult, seems more preferrable as the Beast Reality carry, while Shamane's image is relegated to a "support" character; that people would think of him in a way of, "Well, at least I could still use him as a universal debuffer," instead of, "Yeah, we finally have Eagle with i3!" Now, what would happen if 1.6 suddenly introduces an actual Beast Reality support character--one who not only decrease Reality defense, but also provides extra Genesis damage, even free mass attacks? I think you got my point. But if, like me, you take Shamane as your husbando, feel free to get a copy of him, and enjoy 3.5 patches long of honeymoon (roughly 5 months) until Ge Tian's banner comes on the second half of 1.6. Finally, *Yenisei*'s kit is basically 5* Medicine Pocket (semi-mass heal + sturdiness) and Nick Bottom (mass shield + immunity; funny that she turns into a beautiful horse in the story). Her kit is self-sufficient and is probably the best purely defense-oriented character so far. While this is understandable because Star already has Tooth Fairy as an offensive crit-enabler/healer, I think Yenisei's kit also opens up an interesting team composition, that is Charlie. Because both Charlie and Yenisei are Mental character, you can simply add Baby Blue as the Mental support (if you will be pulling for 6 on 1.4, you're most likely to also get her), and you'll get a fully-functioning, high damage, high survivability, 5* Star Mental team. So Yenisei does not put anyone down, rather she is good company for her non-crit Star teammates, and she's also really pretty (don't get me started on Medicine Pocket's i2 skin). This is why Yenisei is best girl. P.S. Yenisei is only rate up on Quniang's banner. The livestream showed that Ge Tian's 5* rate up are Bkornblume and X. P.P.S. Happy new year, everyone!

@@rolf1819 Druvis' kit is not optimal in a Reality damage type, because Reality damage type will cancel her Petrify. If you want to use her for her i3 Plant buff, I guess just make sure you use her Ult last in that round.
to be honest getian and jiu desgings are one of my favs in the entire game, i dont get the hate at all, anyway i have almost 100 pulls rn saved up for both of them and 6 ( hoping to get potrays of jiu if they are good bc shes my fav char since 1.2 lol )
Getian looks like a crow which name comes from its raucous call, which was considered an ill omen, particularly if heard when a deal was being negotiated. Dunno chinese players love their sym bolism especially when it comes to design in their gachas. Isnt this is why skins for chinese gachas are so bland.
One day, they will release a 6 star ice themed freeze playstyle character. Since Ms. Moissan is the only character in the game that uses freeze & is Mineral, i assume this future 6 star ice character will be Mineral. So conclusion, after i get Shamane & 6, SAVE EVERY PULL FOR THAT FUTURE ICE CHARACTER & THEN GO ALL IN FOR PORTAYS WHEN THAT CHARACTER DROPS. Then i will have the ultimate Mineral character. I have very important question. Which 6 star character should I go for 100% if I have eternity. I am skipping version 1.5. So should i go for Kala Bauna or not? I have heard many confusions around it. Another point is version 1.4 - get 6 and then get 1 character on version 1.6 which is Jiu and Getian or skip version 1.4 and get both characters on version 1.6, but its a lot of waiting yes I am not sure at all. Also doesnt Jiu make a same role as Eternity? So If i have Eternity do i go for Jiu anyways? Its confusing. Please help.

field effects like Getian's has always been a sign towards more powercreep. THis happens also for Another Eden, where newer units would generate elemental fields on top of doing insane damage. I hope REv 1999 doesnt go that route
Well, base on their kits they can, they arent dedicated support, they both can do alot of dmg and ge tian ult is a "field effect" that buff reality dmg so they can help alot
why does the prydwen tierlist for 1.5 say patch specific content for plant and star but melania and centurion (beast dps) are the ones in S+ while there are no star units in S+ ?
Well outside of the 5star one (can't remember her name) they mostly depend on crit for a lot of their damage and maybe enemies are starting to have higher resistances to crit damage.

This is why a poison team is needed if your ever worried about content like raid or UTTU for example, this team will probably make most of your pve content, poison team: jessica, bkornblume, sotheby, and fourth toothfairy other alternative: dps. This is probably a main priority as a f2p and this team does a lot of damage continuously and total damage wise could say more than 30k, since i saw jakazin stream. This team again may somewhat avoid power creeping if your ever worried and miss out characters that you love as f2p.

I think shamane works good with specific dps characters, that need special buildup before burst, like he does some dmg, while u wait for specific cards on your core

Does jiu powercreep blackdwarf? Yes cuz they both are MINERAL DPS I mean sure... their damage typing is different... BUT DOES IT MATTER??? NO If we look at it heck even reality DPS have WAYY BETTER support than mental dps ... The argument when saying JIU doesnt powercreep BD isnt valid when all the reasoning is their dps typing is different cuz IT DOES NOT MATTER IN THE ACTUAL GAME.... U have eternity --> u will use eternity as mineral dps U have eternity and black dwarf --> u will use black dwarf EVEN THOUGH she is mental dps... cuz Black dwarf obviously deal higher damage U have eternity , black dwarf, jiu --> in the case where JIU OUTDPS blackdwarf ( wait for jiu scaling and calculation when released )... THERE IS NO REASON for you to use black dwarf anymore since her dps output is lower than jiu... why the hell does mental and reality type dps matters when no enemy in the game is specifically resisting either typing?? So you're telling me you're fighting an enemy with S+ Reality defense with Jiu even tho you could swap to BD? Not only it makes perfect sense pulling for 2 different damage types of the same afflatus, but your whole argument makes none because you're completely disregarding the enemy defenses. We've had S+ defenses multiple times in limbo (for example the trashbag matildas, had S+ mental defense and i had an absolute bad time trying to fight them with melania) And there's probably gonna be plenty of other moments when that might happen again. Not to mention raids. If you want to do proper score, you're gonna have to have a lot of variety on your account. But then again, if you dont care about efficiency and meta, then sure, skip BD.

Finally, one thing I observed about good carries regardless their rarity level, is that their whole design (skill design, insight bonus, and portrays) usually focuses on one mechanic and grants a lot of damage buffs using that mechanic (e.g. Centurion's Moxie, Eagle's crit overflow, Jessica's Poison, and Melania's Ult-spamming). Unfortunately, Shamane is not designed in this way. His kit is split between crit-overflow Ult-spamming and debuff-based damage boost. Imagine if his i1 is a mass crit resist and crit def debuff like Tooth Fairy's i1, which then would help him to get his Ult's crit rate up to 100% without resonance or portrays. That would be a completely different story.
I think all these might explain a bit why Centurion, despite her lack of fancy ST high damage Ult, seems more preferrable as the Beast Reality carry, while Shamane's image is relegated to a "support" character; that people would think of him in a way of, "Well, at least I could still use him as a universal debuffer," instead of, "Yeah, we finally have Eagle with i3!"
Now, what would happen if 1.6 suddenly introduces an actual Beast Reality support character--one who not only decrease Reality defense, but also provides extra Genesis damage, even free mass attacks? I think you got my point. But if, like me, you take Shamane as your husbando, feel free to get a copy of him, and enjoy 3.5 patches long of honeymoon (roughly 5 months) until Ge Tian's banner comes on the second half of 1.6.
Finally, *Yenisei*'s kit is basically 5* Medicine Pocket (semi-mass heal + sturdiness) and Nick Bottom (mass shield + immunity; funny that she turns into a beautiful horse in the story). Her kit is self-sufficient and is probably the best purely defense-oriented character so far. While this is understandable because Star already has Tooth Fairy as an offensive crit-enabler/healer, I think Yenisei's kit also opens up an interesting team composition, that is Charlie. Because both Charlie and Yenisei are Mental character, you can simply add Baby Blue as the Mental support (if you will be pulling for 6 on 1.4, you're most likely to also get her), and you'll get a fully-functioning, high damage, high survivability, 5* Star Mental team. So Yenisei does not put anyone down, rather she is good company for her non-crit Star teammates, and she's also really pretty (don't get me started on Medicine Pocket's i2 skin). This is why Yenisei is best girl.

Yenisei is only rate up on Quniang's banner. The livestream showed that Ge Tian's 5* rate up are Bkornblume and X.

@@rolf1819 Druvis' kit is not optimal in a Reality damage type, because Reality damage type will cancel her Petrify. If you want to use her for her i3 Plant buff, I guess just make sure you use her Ult last in that round.
to be honest getian and jiu desgings are one of my favs in the entire game, i dont get the hate at all, anyway i have almost 100 pulls rn saved up for both of them and 6 ( hoping to get potrays of jiu if they are good bc shes my fav char since 1.2 lol )
Getian looks like a crow which name comes from its raucous call, which was considered an ill omen, particularly if heard when a deal was being negotiated. Dunno chinese players love their sym bolism especially when it comes to design in their gachas. Isnt this is why skins for chinese gachas are so bland.
I don't see it as much of a problem, the banner pitty for 1.6 does not transfer. So if those units really above all others just save until then

One day, they will release a 6 star ice themed freeze playstyle character. Since Ms. Moissan is the only character in the game that uses freeze & is Mineral, i assume this future 6 star ice character will be Mineral.
So conclusion, after i get Shamane & 6, SAVE EVERY PULL FOR THAT FUTURE ICE CHARACTER & THEN GO ALL IN FOR PORTAYS WHEN THAT CHARACTER DROPS. Then i will have the ultimate Mineral character. So i don't need Black Dwarf or Jiyu.

I have very important question. Which 6 star character should I go for 100% if I have eternity. I am skipping version 1.5. So should i go for Kala Bauna or not? I have heard many confusions around it. Another point is version 1.4 - get 6 and then get 1 character on version 1.6 which is Jiu and Getian or skip version 1.4 and get both characters on version 1.6, but its a lot of waiting yes I am not sure at all. Also doesnt Jiu make a same role as Eternity? So If i have Eternity do i go for Jiu anyways? Its confusing. Please help.

i like to optimize my account but i would still pulling for BD (as my original plan) to clear contents in that patch. I would also pulling for Jiu because i like her style and my account by that time should be able to cover every content already.
field effects like Getian's has always been a sign towards more powercreep. THis happens also for Another Eden, where newer units would generate elemental fields on top of doing insane damage. I hope REv 1999 doesnt go that route

why does the prydwen tierlist for 1.5 say patch specific content for plant and star but melania and centurion (beast dps) are the ones in S+ while there are no star units in S+ ?
Well outside of the 5star one (can't remember her name) they mostly depend on crit for a lot of their damage and maybe enemies are starting to have higher resistances to crit damage.
The patch specific content isn't FOR plant and star but rather IS plant and star, which means beast and plant will strive.

This is why a poison team is needed if your ever worried about content like raid or UTTU for example, this team will probably make most of your pve content, poison team: jessica, bkornblume, sotheby, and fourth toothfairy other alternative: dps. This is probably a main priority as a f2p and this team does a lot of damage continuously and total damage wise could say more than 30k, since i saw jakazin stream. This team again may somewhat avoid power creeping if your ever worried and miss out characters that you love as f2p.

I think it's a good idea for you to pull in the golden threads banner, jessica is a very expensive unit and doesn't work well without another 6* (sotheby)

As you can see on 5:38, after 5 patches (1.0~1.5) she is the only base game 6* DPS that still ranks T0. She's practically futureproof.

I think shamane works good with specific dps characters, that need special buildup before burst, like he does some dmg, while u wait for specific cards on your core

THERE IS NO REASON for you to use black dwarf anymore since her dps output is lower than jiu... why the hell does mental and reality type dps matters when no enemy in the game is specifically resisting either typing??
If in the future they release a enemy that resist either mental / reality dps then sure... having both BD and Jiu may somewhat be beneficial... but Pulling BD and THEN pulling jiu just makes no sense at all if your reasoning is "They have different damage type"

Not only it makes perfect sense pulling for 2 different damage types of the same afflatus, but your whole argument makes none because you're completely disregarding the enemy defenses.
We've had S+ defenses multiple times in limbo (for example the trashbag matildas, had S+ mental defense and i had an absolute bad time trying to fight them with melania)
And there's probably gonna be plenty of other moments when that might happen again.
Not to mention raids. If you want to do proper score, you're gonna have to have a lot of variety on your account. But then again, if you dont care about efficiency and meta, then sure, skip BD.
