I am the younger generation and I lost myself so very much in the world of Mad Max and Furiosa.
You were so badass Charlize, you and Tom were just incredible together.
Though the dialogue was short and scarce, it had this immense power to it. It made me so intent on hearing every single word you guys had to say.
The lines were so well written and well executed, I adore this movie.
I haven't purchased a film on DVD in about 6 years, but I will be purchasing Mad Max.
One of the few movies I had to see twice in theaters and it was BETTER the second time around. Gah. Wish I could go watch it again but 13 bucks ):

Mark Elia Charlize was amazing , in fact even though the movie is "Mad Max" this was really Furiosa's story and Charlize was the main star and not Tom Hardy.

      Josh Dugan agreed!
She was such a solid character.

Josh Dugan no, they both were equally main stars, totally equally and that's nice

+Robot Yoda Mad Max has very little in the way of exposition but everything is there if you pay attention. Furiosa says she and her mother were taken 7000 some odd days before the events of the movie, so 19 to 20 years ago. Her mother was killed on the 3rd day after they were taken. I'm guessing she is around 30 at the time of the movie. So around 9 of 10 she was thrown in with the war pups. She is so tough and mean she is able to becomes a war boy. And again she is such a ruthless and remorseless killer and so loyal to Joe she becomes one of the most respected Imperators, the highest rank in Joe's army. I imagine at this point she is the baddest of the bad, stealing anything of value from the innocent and killing the rest just like any other war boy. But then she must have been assigned to protect the Wives. This makes perfect sense because she is the only female Imperator. The Wives are Joe's most prized treasure and could easily be spoiled in his eyes by another man. The five Wives are very different than the other inhabitants of the wasteland. They never had to fight and kill to survive and they were educated and cultured by their teacher, Miss Giddy. So for the first time in her life (or at least since she was a child) Furiosa meets people that have a moral view of the world. She must have become very good friends with them and their moral view must have changed Furiosa deeply. That's when we meet Furiosa in the movie. The redemption she seeks is redemption for all the terrible things she did as a war boy.

It was a good film but clearly had feminist themes and ideas, and this is absolutely ridiculous to put feminist themes into a mad max film, also the female character had more lines and was the main hero, she also killed the main villain, ......mad max just seemed like a side character, ....so its absolutely fair for mad max fans to be upset about this, ......stop being so intellectually dishonest about this, .....if in the next wonder woman film, they put in MRA themes, and the male side actor has more lines and saved the day and killed the main villain, .......alot of people would hate this, and say this was an insult to wonder woman, to make her feel like a side character, its a complete double standard

Charlize did such an amazing job in this movie. She's so good at portraying difficult characters, that's why I love her so much. I would love a Furiosa spin-off movie. She would nail it. On a side note, I think she wasn't feeling that good in this interview. Maybe a cold or something. Poor thing... Liked the interviewer too, some good questions were asked.

+wolfke1979 Yeah, but for it to be good, it would take forever and she may not be into it anymore =( Like, this one took them 5 freaking years to complete xD

Per George Miller the next Mad Max movie will be a Furiosa prequel.

@@BrandonWestfall yes I heard about it, but they are choosing a younger actress to play a younger Furiosa apparently... It's a shame. I think with Charlize it would be much better.

Charlize is an amazing actress. One of the best of our time. That being said, she’s every bit as amazing as a person. There’s far more going on in her life than acting. She is truly a good person who has devoted her time and money for the poor and underprivileged. Her career is obviously very important to her and in certainly shows in her work and what she has accomplished. She definitely has her head in the right place, in a business that is psycho!
