That wooden bowl was definitly a bowl for nuts...My Grandmother had this bowl and kept walnuts in it.a nut cracker went in the middle two holes and nut pickers went in the outer two holes.
Little sweater was from Iceland, Icelandic wool, hand knit, they are expensive, my mother had that exact sweater, probably in the same size, she was a size 3 LOL
Sadly finding treasure like yours would never happen in England, Wales, Scotland or Ireland. The thrift/charity shops are too savvy and they would be on eBay and other sites or in auction in no time. Yes Treasures are found in charity shops and car boot sales. I have found minor successes over 20 plus years but they are rare. Perhaps if I move to America then my fortune would be realised. You are soooooo lucky young lady. I kind of envy your set up. I'll keep u posted lassy just in case I find that faberge gem..pigs might fly by the time i do. Bye all. Tony in the Derbyshire Sales, England
I lived in the UK for nearly 30 years and was an avid Charity shopper, I often found treasures & trinkets there. Now that I'm back in Ireland, although prices have increased over the years, there are lots of great finds just waiting to be unearthed. Just yesterday I got an art deco silver plated teapot, in great condition, for 5 euro! I'm delighted. I often find beautiful silver jewellery and artwork. It's my favorite pasttime and Laura has inspired me to start selling online :)
@8:40 the speckled bowl would be great as a snacking bowl for cherries or pistachios or sunflower seeds... something that has a shell or a pit that you can't eat but want a place to throw the extra parts away w/out a mess.
So agree about all growing and sharing together...love Silverton...lived there 23 years and college in Salem...love your channel..wonderful vlog. I saw saws and tractors that have those caterpiller bottoms...how wonderful....I adore that old pink in bathroom..lol...Yes on the wood nutcracker.
Loved the horse lamp and that blue glass bird you picked up but didn't buy! I also loved the quirky needle-beaked brass birds too. I can't wait to see how you style the Tom Green lamp! I like weird stuff and think it is cool!
I can’t believe you found a piece of David Enna pottery out in the wild! His pottery makes up 95% of my pottery collection. I collect the blue & brown mountain scene pieces, but also solid brown or blue (actually, at this point, any of his pottery would make me happy!). For being an Oregon potter, I rarely find any of his pieces. I should send you a few pictures of the pieces I collect so you can be on the lookout for them. If you ever found something I would gladly buy it from you! 😊 xo
My son had a solar system thing like that one, but more modern, he loved it! I grew up with a nut bowl, used to use it year round, but especially Christmas time. My parents got a bag of assorted nuts ( hazelnuts, almonds, Brazil nuts, pecans and walnuts ) with their shells on. I absolutely loved the child’s sweater, the colours and pattern was beautiful! Shame they didn’t make an adult sized one! Loved the lamp! Absolutely stunning! Loved your finds! As usual your videos always put a smile on my face!
Laura you need to come to Buffalo! You could tour the Darwin Martin house and Gray Cliff! We have lots of great vintage and estate sales too. Especially in the summer!!
I’m realizing the difference in the east and west coast ( and age 🤔😁) in what your eye is drawn to: I gasped as you moved the Bennington glaze bowl aside to get to the nut bowl , and watched the swallow planter fly by … but I do love the lamp
Laura, you’re living my dream of thrifting. I’m really glad I ran across one of your videos the other day! I subscribed. Thank you for taking us on your hunt for more treasures. I use to frequent thrift stores in my younger days when my health was better. I love your channel!
I am planning a trip to Oregon most likely in the spring and I've written down every town and shop you've been to so far. My husband has built out our van so I will have every comfort I would have at home and room to store my goods! I'm so excited! I plan to spend at least 8 or 9 days there and shop my heart out! I would love it if you could meet up with me and let me buy lunch and do some shopping together. The only problem is we have a lot of the same tastes, especially in jewelry, but I'm certain we would have a blast!
The white speckled is a soup and sandwich bowl. Soup in the large round part and half a sandwich in the crescent part. I find them quite often at the Goodwill in Denver.
I live in Wyoming, last weekend my boyfriend and I went and stayed in Klamath, and from there drive to Brookings and thrift shopped up to Coos Bay and came back around to Klamath... it was a long absolutely beautiful drive and an amazing day. Laura you are my Oregon coast inspiration 😊, I love it there and can't wait to move to the Oregon Caost one day. Last Summer we went from Astoria to Florence it was amazing too!!
Hi, Laura. I'm a newbie to your channel. I gasped when I saw the vintage Pyrex! Which I collect. Also, I believe that I spotted some vintage hobnail milk glass & Jadeite which I also collect. I can spend hours thrifting. Such a good haul.
We stayed at the Oregon Gardens motel a few years back, at about this same time of year. They were setting up their Christmas village and we were free to walk around and see what they had done. Such a nice peaceful trip. I really love Silverton.
The FLW house in Grand Rapids, Michigan is the "Meyer May House" 450 Madison Ave SE, 49503 .. Thanks for the very interesting and informative thrift we went with you on today 😊😊 Denise
I watch with closed captions on. It's pretty funny - they're ahead of when you speak. It's an amusing preview. The caption will read, "I love this decanter," and I think "oh, here comes a decanter."
I am glad you got the lamp. It is a statement piece and you could one day to find a huge room where it could be dangling from and look awesome. I would have bought the tulip like brass candlestick that was alone because you might find two other special candlesticks that are as beautiful as this one and make a trio set. :)
I just cannot believe what you are consistently able to find in The Pacific Northwest! And the wonderful prices! Did you buy the small needlepoint of the church in the snow? I believe it is supposed to represent the famous St. Sebastian Church in Ramsau, Bavaria.
We love Frank’s houses We have toured many including his studio in Chicago Love your channel Im a big thrifter and have resold many items on facebook We live in northern ontario Learn alot from you
I live way to far away but all those fall landscaped paintings I would be looking at and seeing if I can afford for the gallery wall I want to make going up my stairs and then the little square and rectangle pyrex dishes for left overs would be the other thing. I can not wait to see what you show us mext.
Beautiful stores lovely time with friends and great deals who could want more!😊❤ Awesome video hun I do think I'd be into the lamp for sure something different and it's your type of style I would love to see it styled up in your house😊 hope you have great Thanksgiving week hun xxx ❤❤❤
I like a lot of Brutalist design, but to be honest, the Tom Green lamp had no appeal. I like the Horizon pitcher though - I have the casserole dish. And the horse lamp was really cool!
It must be hard to decide to stop collecting. But I guess you have to have limits in your business. I’ve been thrifting for Christmas gifts. So fun. I also think that lamp would be cool in your studio. As i recall you have other metals in there too. Did you ever post the video of that Reno? Love this video.thanks
That wooden bowl was definitly a bowl for nuts...My Grandmother had this bowl and kept walnuts in it.a nut cracker went in the middle two holes and nut pickers went in the outer two holes.
My grandma had one and she would buy mixed nuts for Christmas.. brings back memories.
Love the wooden lamps😍
You find the best places to hunt for your treasures!
Yes, it completely brings back Christmas memories at Grandma’s!

The red needlepoint flower with the fall leaf border at 17:09...love, love, LOVE! 💔
My heart went pitter patter @16:41 with that gorgeous tooled leather bag next to the brutalist lamp!
Mine too! Loved it 😊
Thanks to you, Laura, I’m learning so much about vintage pieces. Yesterday, in a Charity shop in Edinburgh, I found a Bitossi Rimini ashtray for £1 😊
Amazing!!! 🙌 congrats 🎉
So cool to recognize every place you went in this video! Makes me miss the good things left in Oregon.
The woman mug is brilliant and my favourite!!! Totally love it 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Was in the Red Bench a couple of months ago and came so close to buying that horse lamp. I guess he was just waiting for you!
Those lamps were amazing.
I love Frank Lloyd Wright! I recently toured one of his houses in Alabama.❤
It looked like a hand saw pattern on the windows.
Laura you need to come to Buffalo! You could tour the Darwin Martin house and Gray Cliff! We have lots of great vintage and estate sales too. Especially in the summer!!

At the Wright house not hockey sticks look to me like hand saws especially with back lighting when inside.

A huge YES on the brutalist pendant light.
Thanks for the tour of the Frank Lloyd wright designed home.

The lamp is incredible. I think I would put a blue light in it.

YAY!!!!
I love the Tom Green lamp! Great find!
Amazing as always. Laura your hair looks beautiful.
You could use the metal lamp as a base for an end table ? Swag, table top, or base it has options ❤
I LOVE that sweater!!! The frog canisters at about the 17:40 mark were adorable! Don't know if you noticed them.
I am glad you got the lamp. It is a statement piece and you could one day to find a huge room where it could be dangling from and look awesome. I would have bought the tulip like brass candlestick that was alone because you might find two other special candlesticks that are as beautiful as this one and make a trio set. :)
Loved seeing the Gordon House. Just finished a novel about Frank Lloyd Wright called "Loving Frank" Highly recommend.
Cool to know you were a picture framer. I was a picture framer too!
Thank you.
I just cannot believe what you are consistently able to find in The Pacific Northwest! And the wonderful prices! Did you buy the small needlepoint of the church in the snow? I believe it is supposed to represent the famous St. Sebastian Church in Ramsau, Bavaria.

LOVE THIS
Loved this video. I’m going to plan a vacation to the PNW just to go thrifting!
You should!
That wooden bowl was for nuts. I have one very similar.
And did you hit Somewhere in Time? An even better picking place in Silverton.
Was that the Wilsonville goodwill? I'm in there every other day! I recognized the merchandise. That copper bowl must have just been put out...
The lamp doesn’t look like it would give out much light? Definitely a love/hate thing! The PNW looks like a beautiful place to live.
When it hangs the light comes out the top and bottom. I’ll share it staged in a video soon!
18:00 She was nowhere near as enthralled as you were, lol.
Beautiful stores lovely time with friends and great deals who could want more!😊❤ Awesome video hun I do think I'd be into the lamp for sure something different and it's your type of style I would love to see it styled up in your house😊 hope you have great Thanksgiving week hun xxx ❤❤❤

I need thrifting friends like yall. Not many where I live. I may need to find a different location to shop and thrive.
I feel like I am guaranteed to find more if I don't get a cart! (Or buggy as we say down South!)
I used google lens and it said it was a Vintage Teak Wood Large Round Pen Holder Office Organizer Dish Trinket
We have a FLW house here in Grand Rapids Michigan
I hope to visit that one someday! What’s the name?
No way!!! This is my home town, and I missed you😭
Ohhhh wish we had ran into each other!!
@@leftcoastrevivals me too😭
Bought that exact same copper bowl at Goodwill just like 3 days ago!! But mine was $13 😤 lol
THAT LAAAAAAMMMMP
Hi Laura 🌺
Good will is so much cheaper in Oregan; compared to NY
Do you ever buy quilts at goodwill or thrift stores?
Is that lamp by the comedian Tom Green?
What was the name of the huge thrift store you went to before the final Goodwill?
