Mesabi Trail Iron Range Minnesota Touring on Recumbent Fat Tads Part 1

Virginia, Eveleth, Tower Minnesota connected by the Mesabi Trail. There's things to see and lots of coasting. The Fat Tads provided an armchair tour. Oh, and did I mention that there's lots of coasting?

complete route from Grand Rapids to Ely? Was there much HWY riding?

How wide is your trike? We went through late summer of 2022 with our trikes and had no problem with them. Our trikes are 34" wide.

I went out and measured it. 35.75" is the front fender width. That gate is not 3 feet wide, or we would have squeezed through it.

@@rowtator6543 I am designing a disperse camping unit that measures 35.75" wide counting i would be able to make it through them because i would not be able to flip it and get it through. There are two and i understand they lock them at certain times of the day and also seasonally. I gal at Giants Ridge said they owned the land.
Hope they change them.

@Mesabi E-Trike Adventures on the return trip, we learned that the yellow pipe on the right side lifts out of the pipe in the ground to allow mower access. I'm not saying we did that, but it sure would have been easier :-)
