Hi Tom. Thx for this very informative video. My wife use Libre freestyle 3 sensor und I bought her an Apple Watch SE. I would like to configurate it so that she could get notifications on it in case of low or high blood sugar. How can I do this?
Great information! Thanks for sharing. Just got my first Libre patch on this morning. The data is... concerning. Being able to check my levels as often as I want without having to stab my finger is amazing.

Just started using FreeStyle Libre 2. I was recently diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic. Seeing your videos helped me understand how the monitor and app works. Thanks for sharing the feature to set a reminder for 8 hrs and you can customize when to check your sensor. I worry, with the monitor saying that I'm high the device would beep at me when I'm at work. Being able to set a specific time can help me so I don't feel embarrassed that the alarm goes off soon after I scan.
I was thinking about getting an I watch to track my blood sugar when exercising. Do you need the I watch connected to your phone in order to take a blood sugar reading or does the watch stand alone? The reason why I can’t have my phone is because I am swimming or surfing I want to be able to check my blood sugar.
Thank you for your videos. I am newly diagnosed type 1. I have libre 2 sensor. I bought a samsung galaxy 6 watch. How can i get the readings on my new watch? Please help

I'm looking for another option to use instead of my sensor. I work in a place where using a phone can get you fired. So now I'm interested in the apple watch or an android version.
Thanks Tom, I have been using the Libre 1 & app for a year and when you showed the Bluecon system end of 2020 I got 1 and NOW don't use the Libre 1 app other than starting a new sensor out. Won't go back until Libre 2 or 3 is the same cost here in the USA.
Can someone please refer a cheap price smart watch which I could use as a sensor. In this video you showed Phone can only send ⏰ alarms to smart watch if glucose is high or low. Does the smartwatch show Reading from glucose sensor.thanks
Good morning Tom. I am also a diabetic for 28 years and I have the problem that my phone does not have NFC. I would like to ask you if I can connect my phone to Xiaomi smartband 6 NFC and just scan my libre sensor using another app and the bands NFC? Thank you in advance for your time and all your advices all these years.
Can anyone tell me if I have to have the reader with the sensor or can I use my iPhone as a reader. I just bought my first sensor and didn’t know I had to buy a reader as well. I thought I could just use the app/link on my iPhone. I bought a libre 14.
Hi Tom, thank you for all these videos. I have one question. Can you manually add a finger test to the Libre link software, as I have needed to do a finger test. Many thanks Ian
Hi Tom, your video's and information are excellent. My 8 yr old son is type one with autism and I'm going to try him on the Libre 2 (we don't have the 3 yet but hopefully soon). Can the reader and app both be used on the same sensor? and will they talk to each other? When he goes to school, I would want his support staff using the reader and when home or with me, I would want to use my phone with the app. I just don't know if that is possible and how to do it if it is possible. Then of course I would want to share the data with his doctors as well via the Libreview and Librelink. Sorry for the long question. Hope you can help.
Did you found any solution? I have the same problem my sin 8 years old is type 1 from 2 months. I want to order libre 3 butbi am to think how to do for the school. I dont want to give him a phone.
Hi Tom - I just got all the gear I need to begin using a CGM for the first time and had a couple questions. I have MM1, FSL1 US 14 day sensor and an iPhone 6. The phone doesn't have NFC capabilities, but does the MM1 allow me to start the sensor? I just want to make sure I get this right as I've spent a pretty penny on all this equipment. Thank you.
Thanks a lot for your interesting videos. What can I do if I sleep normally for 9-10 hours? Do I lose the data from the first sleep hours because I did not scan for 10 hours?
Yes. You will loose that 1-2 hours of data. You might want to look at MiaoMiao. I made a few videos about it. This might help you keep all the data... Good luck!
@@TypeOneTalks so great, that you are available for an answer! Thank you very much, i appreciate that a lot! I have found the trick to do a measurement on my nightly toilet visit. I am happy to realise that I do not have to deactivate flight modus because the NFC technology works still fine.

3 questions 1) Can the watch get data from the sensor without the phone being in range? or do you have to have the phone with you? Like if I'm running and want to have nothing in my pockets. 2) Can i get the Libre app on my Android locked screen? Basically I want to be able to push the power button to turn my screen on and see my number without having to unlock my phone or have to push any other buttons.. Just have my number displayed with the clock as soon as I push the power button 3) can I change the time range being displayed? Like if I want to see 3 hours of data instead of the whole day.
I love your videos. A quick question for you from just over the border in France. In the "daily patterns," do you understand what the different shades of blue represent? Thanks in advance.
Hi Dana! Greetings to France. I do not know the exact definition but how I understand it is that the wider the blue area is the wider the spread of your value is during that time of day. Hope this helps! Have a great day!
@@TypeOneTalks Hy guys, my understanding is the darker blue represents the highest number of results in that range. Middle blue a bit less results and the lightest shade of blue is the least amount of results in this particular range. But please correct me if I’m wrong :-)
Hi, Tom, great video! So, is what you are using is the libre 3?? I'm trying to decide between libre and dexcom...like the flatness of the libre, and am willing to wait for the 3...just not sure...
Hi Priscilla. I am using Libre 2. Libre 3 is not yet on the market. In fact I'm about to switch to Dexcom G6 soon for a 3 month try out. It's a tough call. I made a video last week about what made me try out Dexcom G6. Might be interesting for you to watch:) Wishing you all the best!
Thank you so much my friend! Yes I am, actually! I want to make a video about that to share more. This week has been really low carb and this also contributed to an awesome result. Hope you are having a great day!
That’s just showing off! Seriously though, well done the 99%. I’ve just had 24 hours with 95% which I’m very pleased with as I’ve had a lot of problems. My doctors have put me on 4mm needles for my humalog pen, and I don’t think they’re going deep enough. I have wild fluctuations and have to correct several times before my levels come down again. Two days ago I decided to put the 8mm back on and I’ve had two almost perfect days. I’d be interested to know what needle size others use and what result they have found. I’ve been on the libre 1 for 6 months now and it’s changed my life.
I just have to say good job with ur blood sugar levels! I’ve had type 1 for 20 years and everyday is a struggle to keep my levels in range, a lot of the time I’m out of it. Ur average from a week is insane, almost like u have a semi functioning pancreas 😅
I just purchased a samsung smart watch 4. It is for my little girl who is type one. I cannot get xdrip+ to download onto watch. The watch won't even accept adding a google account so I can download Goggle Play. She has a Samsung A32 5G as the phone.
Hi everybody I'm doing a bit of research for my dad. Am I understanding correctly, that I can use the Librelink app together with the sensors, without ever having to buy the reader ???
Hi Miguel. It works with Libre 2 sensors in most countries. In US Abbott is still waiting for the FDA approval so it does not work there yet. Hope this helps! good luck!
I have the Libre 3 android app on my phone, and it is 90% worthless. My insurance just made me switch to this from my Dexcom. There is almost no customization on alerts, you can't adjust the time period the graph shows, you can't see ur info on the locked phone screen. I am trying to try this Libre Link and it won't scan the sensor. Is it because the sensor is already connected to the normal app? Do I have to start a new sensor?
But still no app for the Libre2 and I can’t stand having to carry 2 devices with me all the time. I loose my reader all the time. I’ve never lost my phones. It’s very frustrating because I feel like I’m going backwards!
DO you have two phones? Anyway, it can be that settings in your Apple/Android store remained in a previous country. It happened to me once and I had to completely delete the store cache. After that it picked up the region I was living in at that time.
I see why the FDA still didn't approve the cellphone usage in the USA. this is my 2nd sensor so far and it's all over the place. I get reading that my blood sugar is 98 with an arrow going down slowly but my symptoms is telling me it's low like shaky hands and blurry vision so I test using a regular machine and it's 52 . also few times gave me reading 210 and going up sharp and less than 2 mnts it gave me 180 flat . I hope it's only a matter of time until it gets better reading like the libre 14 days or the 1st libre sensor because I really liked getting alarms when it's low or high. but for now I don't recommend taking high insulin dosage based on the libre 2 alone
hi theres no actual guide on how to get the notifications on your apple watch. ive looked at my settings and cant work how to get them. can anyone explain how to do it please? thanks
For me the notifications get pushed automatically by the app. Do you have alarms "on" in the LibreLink app and all notifications for the LibreLink app allowed in the iphone settings?
@@TypeOneTalks Tom congratulations on your 99% week! It’s my ambition too. I get too many hypos but my hb1c is 5.7, ironically! I agree with you - to be within range matters more. I’ve been watching your very informative videos in anticipation of any info on iPhone, miaomiao 2 or Apple watch info so I could benefit from the alarms on my watch. Until now I see Neil has the same question. So I realise that Libre sensor 1 won’t work as it has no alarms. Looks like I’ll carry on waiting till I get sensor 2. Can’t wait! :)

I tried to get the alarm on my AppleWatch SE, but it doesn´t work ( I don´t know how) . Does it work only on earlier Versions of the Watch? I use The freestyle 2 with the Libre App on my Iphone SE. I don´t get the App on my watch or something else of libre. It´s in Germany. Thx
i just recently started using libre 2, and i have a problem where it keeps saying "signal lost" and then alarms dont work, so i have to re scan to have alarms up and running... anyone know if there is a way to fix it?
Please make sure nothing is blocking the signal transfer from the sensor to your phone or reader. The signal is send via Bluetooth and the reach should be around 6 m or 20 feet. Of course a faulty sensor mine be causing that as well. If that is the case you can contact Abbott and ask for a replacement! Hope this helps and to see you all the best my friend!
@@TypeOneTalks This is the second time my son's sensor has come out of his body. Abbot is not responsible for anything. today is come out for the last time. I pay 60 euros for a sensor that lasted 5 days the first time. and today, the 5th time, lasted 12 days. This time the sensor was opened half in the body half outside.
Hey man cool videos! I saw in the notes in the app that you inject 0.5 unit of insulin sometimes for 10g of carbs. I assume you use a pump? I'm currently using Fiasp pen, but you can not inject half a unit, which would come in handy for me on many occasions, depending of the time in the day and food ofcourse sometimes 1 unit will cover 10g, sometimes 1 unit will cover 15 to 20. Exactly for the good observation that you made, to observe different times of day this 0,5 unit would come in handy for me at least :D I wonder if Fiasp Pen that overs half a unit as minimum, is even issued within our medical system hmm
I have used for my son humalog is differet by the other one that i have becouse the new one write 0.5 . Before to go 1 uit is one smoll click. This is 0.5 .it doesn't write but it is. Sory for my englese

I just purchased a samsung smart watch 4. It is for my little girl who is type one. I cannot get xdrip+ to download onto watch. The watch won't even accept adding a google account so I can download Goggle Play. She has a Samsung A32 5G as the phone.
Hi everybody
I'm doing a bit of research for my dad.
Am I understanding correctly, that I can use the Librelink app together with the sensors, without ever having to buy the reader ???
Yes. That is correct!
@@TypeOneTalks Great,.. and thank you so much for your promt answer,.. not many channel owners do that !
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Does the app work with Libre 2 sensors? We tried to set it up this weekend for my wife and it keeps telling us that the sensor isn't recognized,
Happy Monday!! Thank you for another great post!!! Stay safe out there and have a blessed day
Thanks! You too! Thanks for always watching and commenting! Means a lot!
You mentiond LibreLink app reading Libre 2; you are in Switzerland so it doen't apply to USA users YET. Thanks.
I’m in Canada and it works. Call Abbott’s free style libre customer service and they will explain you how to proceed!
No extra cost!
Good luck!
What’s the difference between the Libre 2 app and the LibreLink app? Is one better then the other?
FreeStyle Libre 2 app is the US version of LibreLink app. I believe they are identical.
Does the app work on iphone SE 2020
Yes I have an iPhone SE 2020 and works great
I have a question: when I open freestyle libre I would like to go directly to the sensor scan with a quick command. Do you have any ideas ???
I have a video on that. Check my page. It is called scan faster or something like that:)
But still no app for the Libre2 and I can’t stand having to carry 2 devices with me all the time. I loose my reader all the time. I’ve never lost my phones. It’s very frustrating because I feel like I’m going backwards!
I am sorry for you guys in US. Hope the app will be approved soon! Fingers crossed. Stay safe!
I live in EU country and have Abbots sensor Lybre 2. Why can't I also download the app from Apple store or Android store?
Which country are you in?
DO you have two phones? Anyway, it can be that settings in your Apple/Android store remained in a previous country. It happened to me once and I had to completely delete the store cache. After that it picked up the region I was living in at that time.
How To Get FreeStyle Libre Sensor Readings on """Phone"""and Watch with LibreLink App where abouts is that bit in the video?
Whats the highest level can it read just got mine today and is saying HI
@colton pace the freestyle libre only reads till 500.
Can’t wait! :)
Have a libre 2 JUST GOT IT and when I try and check my glucose it says Sensor cannot be used with this version of the APP ....anyone have any answers ?? ...Thanks for the help
I you are in the US, the app does not work with Libre 2 sensors in the US yet due to pending FDA approval.
Thx
Restart your phone
Is there a way to have readings without scanninh
You can try a 3rd party add on like Miao Miao (check out my video about that). If you use it you don't need to scan.
i just recently started using libre 2, and i have a problem where it keeps saying "signal lost" and then alarms dont work, so i have to re scan to have alarms up and running... anyone know if there is a way to fix it?
Please make sure nothing is blocking the signal transfer from the sensor to your phone or reader. The signal is send via Bluetooth and the reach should be around 6 m or 20 feet. Of course a faulty sensor mine be causing that as well. If that is the case you can contact Abbott and ask for a replacement! Hope this helps and to see you all the best my friend!
@@TypeOneTalks Thank you!
Does anyone know how to disconnect a sensor from the app, because mines came off and it says I have to wait 14 days.
You need to scan a new sensor.
Great explanation of the Libre Link ap. You explained it very well. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Have a great day my friend!
And im confused to where i can get the sensor and the reader together its very expensive 😭😭😭
Phone needs nfc?
