Machine Head what can i say.... ive seen you live twice, both my favourite gigs, and both ive been brutally destroyed. i have all your albums and I love them all... you have inspired me in my music, and you have made me have a focus and a wish, a focus to play my music, and a wish to one day play and sing beside you guys. thank you Robb, Phil, Dave and Adam from the bottom of my heart. Machine Fucking Head.
I saw Machine fuckin' head 4 times and they never ever disappoint. They're the most intense heavy live band ever and they send chills down my spine every time \m/\m/
i cant wait to see these guys live at mayhem this year its gunna be one of the best years yet with them megadeth trivium in flames and unearth its gunna be crazy
This song is the NUTS live. Seen them twice, one was when they recorded the live album many years ago in Brixton [I think, it was a long time ago] Hands down, they used to have the most distinct sound ever. Not keen on the new stuff, but they're still VERY good and IMO the best live.
@6filthy66 You can't deny that there was a bit of a dip in interest in the 90s. Obviously there were many awesome bands in the 90s, i'm not saying there weren't, but it wasn't until around 1998-99 - 2000 that it started to resurface and gain interest to the heights that it was in the 80s, and Slipknot were becoming very popular at that time. They bridged the gap for people to discover other metal bands such as the ones you mentioned, and re-inventing metal.
The Burning Red was kickass in it's own way - it had great songs (this, Exhale The Vile (!)), and the title track seems to be a fan favorite whenever they play it - and it also somehow saved my life. Yea, the songs were a lot more simple than the ones before, but in no way it's a bad thing - what is amazing about MH discography is, that you can get everything - pumping metal anthems, insane thrash, long and complicated songs, some great ballads... MH got it all, and delivery is always flawless.
@999cyanide well i didnt upvote myself. also its not to glorify anything, i just put slipknot as an example because its one of those bands that are first named by haters when they speak of something like "the death of the metal genre". but to statisfy you: the blood the sweat the tears is one of the best live songs ever! i saw it 6 times , i know what i´m talking about :p
@300imperium YAY! have you listened to BMTH already? they freaking kick ass and when its live its one hell of a show, if you like MH you will love them lool
lol @ some of these comments i remember when the burning red first came out, bunch of their old fans were all 'omg they sold out' personally i don't give a shit
Love it! Sounds better live than the version on the burning red album (hell alive version is better). I recommend seeing them live to anyone who hasn't, truly awesome!
What is all the hate to Slipknot in the comments? Both, Machine Head and Slipknot, are my favorite bands and propably many others favorites too. And both are awesome! And both fucking rule at stage! Havent seen Slipknot live yet but Machine Head at Sonisphere Helsinki was awesome!
@TheMetallicaMan666 okay. that must mean why i love: Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Machine Head, Slipknot, Devil Driver, 5FDP, Killswitch Engage, etc...A7X is just more melodic and there music bridges across more genres than just metal.
@InsaneMovie i believe hes saying the beers cause he says that often before this song 'wanna drink a beer with machine head?' stuff like that:p but yea mr flynn sometimes really pronounces words weirdly, but fuck hes badass.
3CHRISreturn oh ya? How were they(as if I hafta ask)...?? Did they play much of of B & D? They are proly my only top 5 band I've never seen. But I'm from the east coast. R u from the states?
Crazy... I'm from the UK saw them live 3 or 4 times about ten years ago and robs voice was something else. Can't speak for now as he's probably out his prime. I have them down as best live band I've seen and I've seen most of the big names over the last 15 years, minus sevenfold.
@ihatenatwolf almost all their songs r tuned to drop B, accept like the rlly rlly old shit frm burn my eyes and stuff, but theylll almost always be in either drop B or C sharp which is drop B but tune the bottom string up a step so its standard all the way across
@gumitsirke Music is an art, not a competition. Avenged Sevenfold is pretty badass, not my favorite nor do I listen to much of them, but they got some kick-ass songs and they're pretty damn talented.
@kol9495 sorry dude I missed part 1, but metal is the best form of music I have ever heard. Then again I'm a descendant of Norwegian Vikings so my opinion is biased.
@PsycoSam2k9 hahaha Birminghammm! XD slightly bias cus im from there but still :P and yeah if you order with them b4 15th august you get a poster with your name on, the album and this book about MH :D looks classs man might have to get it :D M
Damn why do you guys always have to argue witch bands are better. Every metal band has it's own fans. So what if metallica and slipknot sold out, then don't listen to their songs. You don't have the right to tell people what type of metal they should listen too. Oh and btw.. There is not ''true'' metal.
I prefer this version than the album version
yep great live band.
Ditto 🤘
Hell yeah
Machine Head what can i say.... ive seen you live twice, both my favourite gigs, and both ive been brutally destroyed. i have all your albums and I love them all... you have inspired me in my music, and you have made me have a focus and a wish, a focus to play my music, and a wish to one day play and sing beside you guys. thank you Robb, Phil, Dave and Adam from the bottom of my heart.
