I have yet to try the drop shot, but plan to very soon. I love fishing tubes, they are extremely versatile. Perfect combination. Thanks for the tips Glenn.
I have a drop shot set on board at all times. I have never tried with a tube though. Big tourney in 2 weeks on Candlewood Lake, CT. Going with this set up. Thanks again guys, great info as always!
I'll have to try this technique, I dropshot off & on but always finesse worms or dedicated dropshot plastics. This will widen my arsenal of possibilities, thanx Glen!!
Very informative. I like the you are straight forward with all of your info and pointers. Keep the videos coming. And do you have anything on Florida river fishing?
Thanks for the feedback and support. I haven't fished Florida rivers before, but I do fish the Columbia. I'll be doing a video on current fishing soon. Hopefully that will help you. I look forward to hearing more from you.
Thank so much for all your well prepared and presented videos - been fishing my whole life but can always learn so much more! Never had thought to drop shot a tube, especially when targeting smallmouth - which we have some brutes here in CT. I'm sure there's no rules, but just wondering if you'd go with standard 3, 3.5 & 4" tubes, or because u R dropshotting would lean toward the smaller 2.5 - 3" tubes? Probably could go bigger if targeting largies?
Hi Bruce - I use the standard 3 1/2" tubes for dropshotting. It catches both smallmouth and largemouth. If I need to go smaller due to a slow bite, I'll opt for a finesse worm or leach/reaper because those have smaller profiles.
when the dropshot first came out, I, always willing to try new approaches, learned to rig and fish small worms and flukes. But I kept losing patience when the first would wrap around the leader and kink the line. could a tube make a difference?
I picked up the dropshot last year and had good success but never tried a tube jig. Most times I dropshot Roboworms, Senkos, and other finesse plastics but looks like I'll have to give the tube a try.
I've never tryd drop shot rig I'm not that supper of an expert. I'm just a bank fisherman can but I'll have to try that with a grub 1 question though is fishing the drop shot rig like fishing tight line
I have tried dropshoting several times and frankly I have never caught anything on it while looks like good way to fish , guess I,m doing something wrong
Never have used a drop shot or Carolina rig. Gonna have to try in a few of the cuts off the bayou. Worm, Inline Spinner and Beetlespin main baits in our very muddy waters.

Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.
Great video !!! never thought about using a tube on a dropshot
when the dropshot first came out, I, always willing to try new approaches, learned to rig and fish small worms and flukes.
But I kept losing patience when the first would wrap around the leader and kink the line.
could a tube make a difference?
I find it doesn't wrap as much. Might be because it's a smaller lure.
I picked up the dropshot last year and had good success but never tried a tube jig. Most times I dropshot Roboworms, Senkos, and other finesse plastics but looks like I'll have to give the tube a try.
Love using tube s , fish them as a jig or Texas rigged , Now I'll add this tec. to my tactics. Thanks guys . you are the best .

Looks like there's no limits to dropshotting.
Is the tube better in certain times of the season?
I find it works best when the fishing is slow.
Tried and true method for hot weather bass. Thanks.
Absolutely, but don't forget to try it year 'round. I do!
I will be lengthening my leader from now on.. Thank you for the explanation.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
Will have to give it a try in Erie this weekend.
Just started to use the drop shot setup! Great video!
Thanks for watching!
can you use this on a baitcasting setup?
It's really hard to do with the light weights, plus the stronger rod is apt to break the line. Spinning gear is best for this technique.
Would you recommend using a drop shot from the shore?
Yes, you can do that.
Nice, never thought of dropshotting a tube.
what brand rod are you using?
That's a Fenwick Elite Series. They don't make that particular rod anymore.
Good thoughts using light hook with tube.
Will have to give it a try never done this before. Thanks!
Great! Let me know how you do!
this looks like another great technique, thanks
Thanks for the vid! I need to try the dropshot more often
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.

I have tried dropshoting several times and frankly I have never caught anything
on it while looks like good way to fish , guess I,m doing something wrong
If I used a heavier setup how would it workout? 10 lb line, heavier sinker, 2/0 hook?
Yes, you can do that. In fact, I made a video on exactly that! th-cam.com/video/ozcxDX2hESk/w-d-xo.html
Never have used a drop shot or Carolina rig. Gonna have to try in a few of the cuts off the bayou. Worm, Inline Spinner and Beetlespin main baits in our very muddy waters.
Glad I could help. Let me know which tips helped the most. Looking forward to hearing much more from you.
