So glad this interview happened. Love the anecdote of Russ telegraphing in a pub that he wanted some foil to smoke some gear, only for Will to completely ignore him (probably consumed in his own world, rather than by design, tho who knows).
I might take my next holiday at Heathrow - great bars, restaurants, shopping facilities. You get to meet people from all over the world, the staff are pleasant and helpful.
Muberre evci:Mr.Self,Russ,a user friend of mine lived opposite Walm Lane round corner from Neilsons’ gaff.He was type who took people back for drinks,a not strapping young guy. After I befriended him he moved away to Acton.Days later we learned that Neilson had been arrested in Melrose Avenue with a head in a bucket?Small world hey?A Moth beats it’s wings. Thanks.Mac.2021.
michael lennon yeah pretty much-she was too young to have really known him you see, especially since he moved down to London and she lives up in Scotland-I'm sure she wrote to him once but he never wrote back. I'm from the same area he grew up,my gran remembers him and I sort of remember his mum,she was a bit of a selfish woman apparently lol
Funny how we fell compelled to disect everything looking for a clue. Selfish mother, maybe a school trip where he stole a bunch of items or something.... Ultimately serial killers pretty much have the same lives as a lot of other people until they cross the threshold. Probably even while they're killing the have pretty normal lives outside of that activity. People always want to turn them into supernatural beings to distance themselves from them I guess.
michael lennon yes your totally right-I mean don't get me wrong,it's a small area round here and I know more than a lot of others about the situation he grew up in,he was neglected, made to feel unwanted,I think he felt he couldn't come out as gay,his mum slept around-BUT my ex's mum turned out great (obviously that's his sister-well half sister I should say) and none of the other siblings turned out like him,so clearly-to me at least-there must have been some sort of defect in his personality to do what he did
Two very smart, articulate men. A pleasure listening to them riff off each other.
Riff, yes.

Is it me or does the video repeat?
Yes, from 23 minutes is a repeat
Seamless edit
Self would never do this now... Brand is a a freak
I think he probably would and it would be the last podcast Russell ever made.
Dennis Neilson was his dole officer-that's.....interesting lol especially since Neilsons niece was my girlfriend for 5yrs haha
wow trippy. Did she think of her uncle in the same ways anyone else does?

Fascinating stuff thanks for replying.

"... for an interview on The ." Sorry, on the what? And why does the video repeat after 23 minutes?
All of these interviews loop around to the start at the half way mark of the video. What the fuck. So fruatrating
Cobble Stoned yeah I was really sucked into and thoroughly enjoying that interview and then it cuts back-infuriating
Not even the start, but rather a random point somewhere earlier in the interview. Annoying.
Good Lord. “Yes I walked here.” Would have sufficed. Too many fancy words to explain something that only takes one or two. What’s the point?
Playful wit, bonhomie and, being broadcast upon the radio, no doubt to entertain.
I hope I never meet Russel Brand in person I think it could take 5 minutes before he starts collecting his teeth on the floor.
I bet Russell Brand shit himself after reading this comment.
@@imposs-up1hg It probably sent him all grapey wapey.
