- Here's IGN Jonathon Dornbush's Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales review for PS5. Miles Morales will also be available on PS4.
Miles Morales is Spider-Man in this all-new chapter of the Marvel’s SpiderMan universe. Play as the young Super Hero as he masters his dynamic new powers. When a war between Roxxon, a devious energy corporation, and The Underground, a hi-tech gang, threatens his new home of Harlem, Miles will learn that with great power also comes great responsibility. To save the people he loves and all of Marvel’s New York, Miles will have to take up the mantle of Spider-Man and make it his own.

I really love how they changed the finisher system by only unlocking them when you've achieved a specific amount of combos. Now people can't really say "it's just spamming finishers".

The game was coo not better than the last Spider Man (it’s only one Spider-Man) and I don’t like how they just took the black culture out of Harlem. Harlem nick name is “The Black Mecca”. All I see is 🇵🇷Flags everywhere that’s not how Harlem looks. Where is the African Pan flags? Where are all the Malcolm X pictures? Where are all the Black Culture?

I enjoyed that there weren’t any sections where you play as a side character with no powers. Also enjoyed that side missions had meaning to the community and resulted in featuring a cool new suit. I feel like it needs a few sub villains though to make it a little longer.

I'm so happy with how beautiful this game looks. I do feel like it could be an easy 10 but still such a great sequel by entering into the life with Miles. It makes me wonder the continued connection with Peter in the 3rd game when Miles's story ends too. I can't with to keep going through this stunning storyline as Spider-Man
I would have preferred if the suit power was tied to the suit. After unlocking the suit for its power, it was pointless to go back to it. It makes sense there is a reason spidey uses the electricity suit (my favorite power). Also, I wish there were story or gameplay reasons to use the suits. Eg. areas that can only be accessed if certain powers are used. Or shortcuts for example.
That defeats the point of customization
If you have got the ultimate edition and completed the original on PS4 would you advice jumping straight in to miles or play the remake first in the order of the story???

Just because a game has no major flaws does not mean it has to be a 10. Reviews are based on the scale of how much the reviewer enjoyed the art and are not an obejctive metric of how close the game is to perfect. Perfect scores are often reserved for things that are revolutionary, or have a profound emotional impact.

Pretty sure that's gonna be in the sequel. If it's not full blown co-op (which would be sweet), it will at least be like the co-op battles in Batman Arkham Knight. Being able to do a combo and then end it with a special duel finisher that switches from Batman to Nightwing at the end. I'd be ok with that.

The game was absolutely amazing, only thing I have to complain about is the length. When it said that I was about to go to the last mission and to make sure my gear was ready and everything, I was so surprised to realize that was it. Still an amazing game though, definitely recommend getting.

The reason the Chrysler building does not appear in the game is because the real building got new owners, who denied Insomniac's request to include the building in the game.
The game features tributes to both Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee, who died in November 2018, and actor Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe until his death in August 2020. Lee has a statue of him set next to the diner where he appeared in a cameo role in the previous game, while Boseman has 42nd Street renamed "Boseman Way". The game is also dedicated in memory of Boseman.
After the conclusion of the main storyline there is an after credit scene involving Norman Osborn and Harry Osborn following the after credit scene of the previous game Spider-Man (2018)
The character in this game, Camila Vazquez, heavily resembles actress Rita Moreno.
42nd Street is renamed Boseman Way in honor of actor Chadwick Boseman, who passed away a few months prior to the game's release, possibly in reference to his performance as baseball player Jackie Robinson in "42". In addition, the number 42 has an association to the character of Miles Morales dating back to early appearances in comics and having transferred across mediums, including both the previous game and "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse".

I’ll be playing it on the PS4 Pro since the new generation of consoles are going to be hard to come by at the moment when it comes to purchasing and I’m sure it will look amazing and play amazing as well on my current gen PS4 pro. I don’t know for me I won’t buy ps5 right away why? Look at ps4 at first launch it has plenty of problems I’m sure ps5 will have problems too maybe early 2021 is the best to buy one
Yea I was thinking that too but I might save it for ps5 I’m still rocking the first gen ps4 so I doubt it will look any different from the first one

Man, the 60fps performance mode is just so much better. It's so smooth and the visual differences are minimal. Definitely going to play my first playthrough using that.
