I would love to have a series of Torta recipes. I think in the very near future they are going to become very popular in the US. Kind of surprising they haven't become a thing already. Use all the normal taco meats (Carne Asada, Carnitas, Barbacoa, Al Pastor) .... Ooh !! I think I'm gonna have to figure this out myself. Using the Sonoran Hot Dog salsa and the garnish will work with anything !!!

I do something similar. I spilt the dog lengthwise and put chopped bacon and jalapeños. Then I add mustard, relish on a poppyseed bun. To finish a little queso fresco and my favorite hot sauce tapatío or Cholula. In a pinch, Valentina.

@@conniemurrieta7000 no hay mucho que decir, mi pueblo es muy pequeno a lado de la frontera y usan una receta simple solo ponen al vapor el pan y la salchicha o sino hacen la salchicha con tocino como en este video, luego le ponen mayonesa al pan, agrega la salchicha y arriba solo tomate, cebolla y pickles picados finamente y tu eres quien le agrega la ketchup, mostaza o mayonesa arriba si quieres.
En Hermosillo es donde más le ponen cosas me parece. Aquí al final es a gusto, pero entre las opciones de toppings está el tomate, lechuga, chorizo, frijoles graneados, champiñones, aguacate, pepino en crema, jalapeños, etc. y ya cada quien lo que quiera
