Hey guys! Excuse my stuffy sounding voice (I’m sick!). In this video I tried to answer the common questions: does this work on curly wigs and will it make your wig thinner?

Ok sooooo I got the thinning scissors, cut into the hair. Not gonna lie I threw it around in the air, rubbed it against my bedsheets, sung the chorus to Whip my Hair while whipping the wig around, and finally I threw some water on my neck and rubbed the underside of the wig against my neck for like 2 minutes (dont judge me, synthetic wigs left me traumatized lmao) then I went to brush it. I tried to count but after roughly 10 to 15 brushes it already looked good. Guess this really works. Now I just need to know what to do about that ashy greyish looking scalp it came with. I tried putting on foundation and concealer but nothing is sticking
Edit: Ironically Im back here some hours later (spontaneously decided to start cleaning my room even if I dont finish) But anyway, I tried this on an actual "graveyard" wig. It was a wig I was wearing about two months ago that tangled so bad to the point I was dipping it in hot water and soaking it with fabric softener every week. I cut it with the thinning scissors and ended up deciding not to throw it out. Thats how much better the tangling got. I could run my fingers through it even minutes later (normally minutes later, a finger run through was impossible) This is such a simple trick but I might always do this to every wig I get from now on
Maybe fabric softener was the reason your wig was so messed up and needed to be washed so often? Fabric softener helps at first, but causes future build up and damage to the fibers down the line.

I tried to boil With vegetable oil spray conditioner today lol obviously here looking for better advice.
What is the best heat setting to use on synthetic wigs? Most time it says up to 400 degrees I go up to 360/390 lol Is that too much heat? Thanks in advance

no. it works on straight
The wig you linked on amazon does not look “super curly” at all it looks the same to me.
I thought that too until it was delivered and it was actually curly

No it shouldn’t, the waves should revert back easily. And personally I haven’t noticed noticeable flyaways the strands still lay flat when brushed

What if my wig is thin it will more thinner?
Hi! I answered this in the video… it really depends how many cuts you make and how much you section the hair. If your wig is thinner then try to make fewer cuts

I've tried this but my wig still looks matted and fake! It cost me £100 second hand ( wast of money!) 😞
You may not have done something right. Ive done this many times it definitely works. Try again on another wig and see if it works for you 😊
if it didnt work the way she did it, you may not have detangled first. if you dont detangle, it will take out more hair than not, and it wont shear correctly. hopefully that helps because I did this to ALL my synthetics and they are poppin!

it does the trick for a minute, however it is not permanent. You will have tangling depending on what you wear and things like that. You just will be able to comb or brush through it a lot easier with water. I hope this helps 🥰 @@AsyaSynclair
synthetics are the bomb if you like different looks, are new to installing lace front wigs yourself, as well as they do last if you manage them correctly. I try and get the blends or the most natural fiber, normally the ones you can curl up to a certain amount of degrees stuff like that

Pls don't. I followed every step.. And it still thins the wig .. But worse it doesn't tangle but within five minutes it bunches ↑ up. And then you can run your fingers through it to fix it.
But who wants to deal with that every five minutes.
I rather just walk around with a brush
And brush as needed
My wig is ruined
