The smile on your face says it all...first day of fabrication in your new shop! That's something to be proud of! Glad you're working with the original hood sides, ton of work, but helps keep the car authentic! Go RAC Garage, keep moving forward!
Travis, the older mechanics will say no on laying your air compressor on it's side. I can't imagine how good it feels to work in your new shop! Best of luck to you!!
Congrats on starting work at the new shop! The only people that might love the new shop more than you are your neighbors at home that don't have to listen to the metal work noise during the day... hahaha.
If you can, get a screw compressor. They're quiet enough you wouldn't get disrupted when it kicks on while filming, and habe an overall smaller footprint since you don't need as much tank space.
northern tool has a few air compressors that might work for your new shop, I have been looking to replace mine recently. Cheers Travis! the shop looks awesome!

The oil will get past the rings. Bad for painting, could hydro lock the pistons.
That Kobalt quiet compressor is oil-free
Great shop, plenty of room and even got it dirty! Cool!
Thats a nice start of the new shop and it must feel a bit weird when there is all the space for working. Keep it up!

Look for a 7.5 hp screw compressor. Replace the motor starter with an inverter / vfd .
Super quiet. Keep your little one for a backup.
Getting a free one from a friend but I’ll put it u der the stairs. insulated eventually

Amazon has a converter for 3 phase from 220v for around $75. It could be an investment.
