Note to self.... dont watch this while at work without headphones.... People might get the wrong impression of what you may be watching.... lol.... 😅😅😅
Great video. As a bike builder myself, I love watching people build bikes and maybe learning new tricks of the trade. Some advice, Get A Press Tool! I made my own press fit tool for $5 from a few hardware store parts, it's really EZ. A threaded rod, some really big washers, duct tape, and some wrench you already have in your shop.
Such a great bike. (We're the proud, relatively new, owners of a Meta SX V4). Bike build from scratch is way up the TODO list, so I always love videos like this.
It's a LOT easier to set the headset top ring if you support the underside while suspended in a workstand. My old friend back in the day, a road wrench for Campy among other things, used an ever-so-fancy two-by four when assembling even the most expensive frames, from early Kleins like my Gen.1 Attitude and my original Rodriguez road frame. Just sayin'...
I made myself a DIY bearing press (threaded rod, washers and bolts). But found it really hard to get headset to press in, flush. Ended up just bashing it in with a rubber mallet, which worked like a charm. 🤣🤷
Me too, but ground up. I totally messed up my derailleur, as in it needs a pro to tune, i cant get it, even with parktools videos.. and i have slow leaks in my rim tape. Plus the amount of specialty tools I did not already have.
I love this! Congrats! I was in a bit of a pissy mood this morning but I couldn't help chuckling while watching this, you're genuinely funny. You made my day. Can't wait to see the rig in action.
Love your videos. I’ve just rebuilt a an older bike. A Intense Spider 29A. It had SRAM XX1 eagle 11 speed drive. And only needed a chain but the current fork and rear shock could no longer be serviced. So I replaced the fork with a Fox factory 34 130mm fork and factory float rear. The Spider looks great after the refresh.
As a small person who has worked on bikes, I am always surprised how much force some of it requires, and sometimes I struggle to be strong enough. You really gotta giv'r sometimes
When the bike is on the stand and you hammer on it, it moves(wiggles) taking with it the power of your hammering stroke, put the frame on the floor, it will be much easier to hammer the parts in, or out, placing any parts you need to hammer are easier if the part is placed on something solid, not moving, so the force will be with you, not against you .. ;) !! Happy Trails
This bike build is definitely a fun one to watch. Sounds like you built up more than just the bike. Thank you for the laughs. It is great to see women wrenching on their trusted steeds. Hope this bike brings you many more smiley miles of fun between your legs.
Hey boys and girls, I wince when I read the title knowing it was clickbait of sorts. (I do enjoy your vids Yuka-chan!) But don't y'all out there think that anyone with zero bicycle experience (especially of what can and does get loose on a full suspension mtn Bike) can put one together properly. I'm sure 'Mr Yuka' has experience and double checked her work. More than once, I've been to the local McDeath for grub and have seen and informed young riders on newly assembled bikes that their 'fork is on backwards'. There is a better way to install a headset evenly using a long threaded bolt, two wide washers and nuts that screw onto the bolt and 2 two x fours. ..Please make sure you have your novice assembly checked by a shop or an experienced Bicycle mechanic. Installing new tech especially with carbon parts have specific tightness tolerances.
Just because there's a hole doesn't mean that you put something in it. I wish that someone had of mentioned that a long time ago! You two are like a comedy duo! Nice bike, btw!!! 😆😂😁
Very nice build. I want the new v5 frame and i saw in the Video Ur frame came already With frame protection ? Is that Standard cause my Clash wasnt . Greetings
Building your own bike is awesome. Sometimes more expensive, since not all parts might fit, but you seldomly need help to fix bikes anymore afterwards, except for complicated stuff like suspension service at least.
Note to self.... dont watch this while at work without headphones.... People might get the wrong impression of what you may be watching.... lol.... 😅😅😅
I love it❤️
I looked at the comments before watching and was confused by this until I got 15 seconds in
I had to turn the volume down a bit.
Yeah I defenitly see why now.. haha
😝😝😝😝😝 I’m watching this at work and out the gate gloryholes are mentioned 😝😝😊😅
"Just cuz it's a hole, doesn't mean you put something in it..." LOOOOL!! I think I had coffee blowing out my nose laughing so suddenly.
Nice work guys looking good thank you
So many, “that’s what she said” moments. 😂😂😂😂
Love the new ride!
Cheers from Santa Cruz! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
He likes it 😩 old man…
The love between you and Eric is so sweet - and tangible. Thank you for sharing this fun but intimate time with us. ❤❤❤
That “spare parts” Ext shock just laying around 😎👍
That was awesome, Yuka. The perfect way to learn.....with someone to help when you run into trouble. :)
🤣
That’s such a awesome looking bike great video 👍😎
I always get bored with built videos (usually skip to the end only to check out the bike), but watching Yuka struggling was so entertaining!
That sounds wrong but I agree 😂.
I dont think “glory hole” is a bad word. But at first, I thought she said “girly hole” which had me cracking up. 😂😂😂
Congrats on the new bike!
Glad to see you back. Enjoy your Christmas !
Happy Christmas to you as well 😉❤️
Happy new bike day!! Lovely video

Glory hole! Loll
Great looking bike Yuka! Gotta love those wheels!
Those wheels are my favourite part of the bike ❤️
This video was SO funny!!! Your spirit is always so fun.
I’m happy to deliver to you one more smile 😋
I love Commencal! I saw that bike in Phil's video. Great to see another video!
You've been away too long! Glad to see you post again.
Happy NBD!🤗
WOW that looks supor nice! Cant wait to see it being ridden.
This is one of the best "bike build video" I have ever seen. Thanks !
You are inspiring Yuka!!!
Well done! Especially since it’s the first time anyone on planet earth referred to that as a glory hole!!
But it is! Maybe other people are so polite…😔
I've got the ebike version of this exact bike. Same Champagne color and all. Been loving it for 2 years now! I'm sure you'll dig the Meta SX!
love ur build vid.. very humorous
Such a great bike.

Finally a new video ❤️ 🤙
素敵なニューバイクですね。ホイールもクール!
昔コメンサルのXCフレーム使ってました。まだ26インチの時代でした。
26インチでトレイルを走ったことはまだないです。めっちゃOTBしそうですね😭
Bearing press is a good investment and pretty cheap lol…nice new bike!
I made myself a DIY bearing press (threaded rod, washers and bolts). But found it really hard to get headset to press in, flush.
Ended up just bashing it in with a rubber mallet, which worked like a charm. 🤣🤷
Got the same bike. Its great believe me. This video reminded me, when you just switched the cranks from the old one
Hilarious, beautiful wheels, nice bike. Happy new bike day !!!!

Great job Yuka! And that's a cool new bike, dig the wheels. Thanks for another entertaining video..
That’s how one learns ! And it’s why we don’t seem to progress these days. Scared to go in the deep end 👍
Very nice new bike!
If you have a torque wrench, probably best use it on everything :) cool looking bike
I’m still scared of a torque wrench…🥲
Commencal does make beautiful frames.
Omg the orange tabby is so cute 🤍🤍 and I’m sorry the “glory hole” 😭😂
I like your new bike better than your old bike, great choice !!!
Was it just time for a change? Or do you prefer the Commencal over your Santa Cruz? Great video Yuka!
This is probably the most relatable mtb content out there. Great job Yuka!
This will probably be my favorite movie. Dirty conversations while assembling the bike, this has never happened before 😅
I don’t understand. All what we said was dirty talk while building my bike…
Just a little naughty conversation between friends and lovers.
❤😮😊
Best bike build video EVER!!!!!
Thanks for the laugh, so good!
great video. i recommend watching with headphones to avoid confused parents or wife walking by
A great idea 👍✨
I love this! Congrats! I was in a bit of a pissy mood this morning but I couldn't help chuckling while watching this, you're genuinely funny. You made my day. Can't wait to see the rig in action.
I’m honer to make your day a little happier😘✨ love my job!

what a nice Bike ... Yuka, I Thing you are an Amazing Woman ... 😄
Hottest bike build ever 🔥!!!
Yuka is hilarious :D
Good job Yuka ! :-) Happy holidays.
Welcome to club COMMENCAL!
I had expected at least one 'oiyokusho' when placing the tire 😂
my (japanese) grandma used to say that all the time when she did anythng labor intensive, what does that mean?!
Great to see you back Yuka...and the new bike 👍👍
I was looking for bike setup videos to see what to adjust n my mtb. This is so funny!
Commencal… great bike 🔥 🖤
Congrats Yuka!
Yuka is so cute ❤

So awesome! Love it!
You definitely earned those points! I’ve never fit a tire without tire levers!
Awesome bike build Yuka!!!

This bike build is definitely a fun one to watch. Sounds like you built up more than just the bike.

10:13 I'm curious why you went for DT Swiss 350? I know you ran hubs with better engagement before. Just trying out new stuff?
You are hilarious 😂
コメンサルかっこいい!

How do you like the tioga saddle ? Thinking about getting one 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
It wasn't for me. My butt was ruined on the first ride...
Great to get a video from you guys, was thinking you left TH-cam.
Just because there's a hole doesn't mean that you put something in it. I wish that someone had of mentioned that a long time ago! You two are like a comedy duo! Nice bike, btw!!! 😆😂😁
Aha ha thats great 😄😄👋👋👋👋👋
It was fun to see you in Hellendoorn. 😁
Well done, nice bike 😊👍🏻👍🏻
Love it! Laughing my butt off. You two are great
Very nice build. I want the new v5 frame and i saw in the Video Ur frame came already With frame protection ? Is that Standard cause my Clash wasnt . Greetings
I did wrap the bike myself👍 the frame is a bulletproof but still I don’t want scratches!
@@VanGirlYuka ah ok nice. Thank U 👍
OMG those wheels 😍 loving the oil slick😁
Me too 😍
I have done pretty much everything she did at one point hahaha, love it
how did you fit the breakline so easy, When I build up my meta tr it took me like 2 hours to get the breakline trough the frame
Eric has a magic touch 👍 Dropper post line was harder!!
nice to see you bout ride safe always guys 💓
You guys are awesome...
Building your own bike is awesome. Sometimes more expensive, since not all parts might fit, but you seldomly need help to fix bikes anymore afterwards, except for complicated stuff like suspension service at least.
Cool build Yuka! What happened to the Bronson? This one looks burlier and a bit heavier too. Hope you have fun with it.
I sold it in Australia 🥲 I miss her…
Frankenstein bikes are the best! Cool bike!
So awesome bike build good luck💪🤙🤙🤙
My i know if have link for that decals?…
I love videos with Yuka !!
You guys had me cracking up lol...
Best bike build video ever
hey! we just got a new commencal too! awesome build!
lmao glory hole
Very nice!
Those wheels are beautiful 😍
Curious where you got the foam cable housing? Just ordered a similar frame
It’s came with the bike!
Always awesome videos by the tag team!
Sick bike!
What is the brand of your saddle?
Yikes! Get a bearing press! I made one for $5.00 out of a threaded rod, very large washers and a coupe of bolts.
That’s a good idea! We should try it next time✨
As per my comment further up, I tried that. Found it really difficult to press in the headset, flush. But the rubber mallet worked like a charm. 🤷
