Her low notes and mid belts have improved tremendously as well, especially in 2017-2018 in KOMS. Sohyang's head voice is much more supported to. Before she sounded like she was shouting or straining but now she's a goddess! This video makes me so happy to see her progress throughout her years of singing. She's learned so much all by herself and so many tragedies happened to her in her life, but she held on, stayed strong, and sang for those to make everyone happy and enjoy her music instead of wanting fame or fortune. This is a true human being. This is a true singer, Kim Sohyang.

It's surreal how her voice has endured through such tough times and matured into a beautifully polished and well controlled instrument; thus making her one of the most improved vocalists of our era (honorable mentions include Jojo, Gaga and P!nk). That progress itself is inspirational. So Hyang's a true singer and artist who gives her all in the process of developing her capabilities and maximizing her potential - from singing to performing to writing. Above all, she's still a very humble and joyful human being. What a role model. :D

I want to point out some amazing improvement here: 0:57: Bb4, 1:25: B4, 1:55: C5 3:24: supported Eb5 from 2002 to 3:303:37 full resonant Eb5 in 2012 O_O 4:40: killer F5 on closed vowel T_T 5:07: Sohyang's best F#5 8:07: I think there's no C6 here, Sohyang just did vocal runs back and forth between A5 B5 8:24 she has nice C6/C#6 even before 2012

The girl literally has been through various health problems and *still* manages to sound this good. She doesn't sign on to record labels, because she likes to sing for God, as she has said in the past. Leave her alone because whistle voice isn't everything, and she doesn't belt like a fox (heard someone say that about her, and it pisses me off). She has improved so much so stfu, she doesn't even need whistles considering her head voice goes into the higher part of the 6th octave.

MJL 2003 I know that in 2000, when she returned from her cancer treatment, she could already support up to Eb5 in Mix, her Head Voice was nice too up to the higher 5th octave and she had some nice A3s. So im guessing something like ~A3-Eb5-B5
