There are going to be a good amount of characters who unfortunately will not become playable characters in Smash.
But it's still interesting to think about what kind of move sets these characters can have if they were playable, so that's why I'm here today.

I imagine that any of Mimikyu's throws that involve it dragging an opponent under its cloth would also add a poison effect to the opponent since anyone who sees Mimikyu's true form becomes very ill before they eventually die.

Another idea for minikyu’s alt. Colors would be making Mimikyu look like the other pikachu clones(examples:emolga,plusle & minum,and togedemaru)

What I liked about Mimikyu, it would have been like playing as a badass subspace emissary enemy, also feel anonymous with Melee. It was definitely the underdog of SU's speculation scene and that's what I like about it. Decidueye would have been cool but its gimmick has honestly been generally done.
What If Gengar Was In Smash?
Bio: Gengar is a Pokemon introduced in Gen I, the generation that started the whole Pokemon franchise. Its typing is Ghost and Poison, and it is known as the Shadow Pokemon. Gengar is very mischievous, and at times, malicious. It enjoys playing practical pranks and casting curses. Under a full moon, Gengar likes to mimic the shadows of people and laugh at their fright while absorbing their heat, causing them to shake. Gengar will be a heavyweight character. It will have 2 jumps, and it would be able to crawl by sinking into the shadows.
[The A Attacks]
Jab: Gengar will have a 3 hit jab that will turn into a rapid jab. The jab will have Gengar perform 2 hooks forwards before finishing with a lick forwards with its massive tongue. The rapid jab will have Gengar flail its tongue around rapidly before finishing with a massive lick forward.
Dash Attack: Gengar will sink into the shadows and "swims" slightly forwards.
Side Tilt: Gengar will slam a small orb of darkness downwards.
Up Tilt: Gengar swings its tongue upwards.
Down Tilt: Gengar sinks into the shadows and swings its tongue forward.
Side Smash: Gengar raises its arms and slams a large ball of darkness forwards that explodes.
Up Smash: Gengar raises its arms into the air and a shadowy projection of its face upwards.
Down Smash: Gengar dives into the shadows and a pool of purple sludge bubbles and boils where Gengar was standing. This pool deals racking DMG and poisons foes.
Neutral Aerial: Gengar surrounds itself with a bunch of small Will-O-Wisps that rotate around it.
Forward Aerial: Gengar swings its tongue forward.
Back Aerial: Gengar headbutts backwards.
Up Aerial: Gengar performs a back flip attack while extending its tongue outwards.
Down Aerial: Gengar performs a flutter kick downwards with its tiny legs.
[The Grabs]
Grab: Gengar grabs with both hands.
Pummel: Gengar licks the foe.
Forward Throw: Gengar reaches its arms out and screams at the foe, sending them forward.
Back Throw: Gengar performs Hypnotize on the foe and stuns them. Then it sinks into the shadows and slides behind the foe. Gengar finishes by rising up and punching the foe from behind, sending them backwards.
Up Throw: Gengar sinks into the shadows, slides underneath the foe, and causes a tornado of ghostly mist to erupt upwards, sending the foe flying.
Down Throw: Gengar drags the foe with it into the shadows and starts beating them for a bit before sending them upwards with a headbutt.
[The B Attacks]
Neutral Special (Sludge Bomb): Gengar's cheeks begin to puff up, then it spits out a purple ball of sludge. Foes hit by the sludge will take small DMG and will be poisoned for a short amount of time. You can charge the Neutral Special to have the sludge grow larger and make the poison last longer. It's like Piranha Plant's Side Special.
Side Special (Shadow Punch): Gengar reels back its fist as it is engulfed in spectral energy. Then Gengar delivers a strong ghost-type punch forwards. This can be charged to deal more DMG and travel further. If used in the air, Gengar punches downward in a diagonal angle.
Up Special (Will-O-Wisp): Gengar will surround itself in a large blue Will-O-Wisp flame, then it blasts upwards a fair distance before sending Gengar into free fall. Think of this as a combination of Lucario's and Fox's Up Special. Foes hit by Gengar will take small DMG and will take a burn effect where they'll take DMG over time. You can angle Gengar's trajectory with control input.
Down Special (Hypnosis/Lick): This Down Special has 2 outcomes depending on controller input. Tapping B will have Gengar fire a short ranged hypnosis beam forward. Foes caught by it will be put into a deep sleep. Holding B will have Gengar extend its tongue to lick upwards. Foes hit by Gengar's Lick will be stunned. This also leads into a small gimmick I made for Gengar.
[The Gimmicks]
Dream Eater: If Gengar licks a foe put to sleep by its Hypnosis, it will heal a small amount of DMG. Don't worry, Dream Eater will only work if Gengar licks a foe put to sleep by ITS Hypnosis. If Gengar licks a foe not put to sleep by its Hypnosis, it won't be healed.
[The Final Smash]
[Shadow Drop]
Gengar will transform into Mega Gengar and fires a large Shadow Ball forward (About the distance of Mewtwo's Final Smash). Foes hit by the Shadow Ball will play a cinematic Final Smash where the foes will be falling into a dark void. From the void, a giant version of Mega Gengar emerges as it opens it mouth wide. It swallows the foes and chomps down, then Mega Gengar turns into a small orb with its face on it while laughing, and the orb explodes! The bite deals moderate DMG to foes and the explosion deals massive DMG. Foes over 100 will be KO'D.
[The Other Stuff]
For Colors:
Gengar's Default will have it in its purple skin and red eyes.
Gengar's 1st alt will have Gengar's body be white and its eyes yellow. This is in reference to Shiny Mega Gengar.
Gengar's 2nd alt will have Gengar's body be blue and its eyes black. This is in reference to Nidoqueen.
Gengar's 3rd alt will have Gengar's body be dark brown and its eyes orange. This is in reference to Gourgeist.
Gengar's 4th alt will have Gengar's body be dark magenta and its eyes yellow. This is in reference to Scolipede.
Gengar's 5th alt will have Gengar's body be black and its eyes white. This is in reference to Gastly.
Gengar's 6th alt will have Gengar's body be yellow and its eyes green. This is in reference to the Bellsprout line.
Gengar's 7th alt will make his body a dark purple. This is in reference to its appearance in the anime.
And Gengar's final alt will have Gengar's body be black and one of its eyes blue. This is in reference to Necrozma.
For the Stage Intro:
A shadow version of the foe will be seen on stage. The shadow then gives a wicked smile and changes into Gengar, who then enters fighting stance.
For Taunts:
The 1st will Gengar hold its stomach as it laughs hard.
The 2nd will have Gengar raises it arms out and roars at the screen while sticking its tongue out.
And the final taunt will have Gengar glare at the screen with a malicious smile.
And for the Victory Animations:
The 1st will have Gengar with its back turned against the screen. The camera comes closer to Gengar, who then turns around and licks the camera, causing it to fall over.
The 2nd will have Mega Gengar stomp its hands on the floor before glaring at the camera.
And the final animation will have nothing on screen. Then, Gengar erupts from the ground and makes a scary face.
And that does it for What If Gengar Was In Smash!
Personally i think that mimikyu's "claws" are just it molding it's body into the shape of claws

I really like the attention to detail with the costumes especially.
Honestly it would’ve been so cool if mimikyu was a playable character. I appreciate how some people took the time to pray for mimikyu as a playable character. And I honestly feel like it would have a much different move set with only a few similarities to Pikachu or even Pichu. Although it’s dash attack would probably Pikachu’s so good job 👍 like the idea of this move set!
Whenever mimikyu wins, there's a change he'll murder you all... and that does it for mimikyu .
Since not everyone uses items, I like the idea of having Thief work more like a ranged version of Villager/Isabelle's pocket, but instead of being able to throw items/projectiles, it just consumes them. Ooooh, and maybe consuming enough stuff with Thief could repair Mimikyu's disguise. Maybe just once per stock for balancing sake.

I think Play rough should be its side special, if you think about it in the anime mimikyu dashes into the pokemon. And if Mimikyu runs towards a fighter it can use its side special to dash towards the fighter and then uses play rough and throws it on the direction its facing. That will also make it a good KO when its on the edge with a decent damage percent
Final smash idea: he takes off his pikachu costume and attacks dealing 1,000 damage, instint K.O even at 0.o%!

But he established in the video Mimikyu can have any color because it's made of fabric. He also doesn't just do whatever he wants, he still bases it off characters in Gen 7.

I think that side-B and up-b should be swapped.
Play rough as a up be would be a combination of captain falcon/Gannondorf's up be and pikachu/pichu's up b where you get to choose which direction you go in (twice) and if you come close enough then you go into the command grab state by instead of launching them you weakly spike them. (I know that it sounds op but the distance would not be that great and also When I say a weak spike I mean a WEAK spike.)
And for shadow sneak as a down be much like Greninja's side be your shadow would move forward but instead of just teleporting to the destination you would lunge there having a weak multi-hitting hit box that would drag you to the selected area with a burst at the end which deals around 4.2-6.3 percent with high base kickback and launch power but your idea was good to! ☺

The move set is really cool! Tho if some people would ask "What if Raichu was in smash?" (It's my favorite Pokemon Mimikyu is equal or second idk) it's easy. Echo fighter of Pikachu but slower and probably dealing more damage than Pikachu's attacks. Not higher than Pichu's tho cuz Pichu gets hit by his electricity but of course Raichu won't. Ik Raichu won't be in smash (nor a DLC character) but I guess Raichu being an echo fighter of Pikachu sounds cool.

Here is my moveset:
jab:Mimikyu would hit his foe with his head,doing pretty good damage and small knockback
f tilt:a scratch with his claw
up tilt:Mimikyu does a small hop and hits his opponents with his head
down tilt:trips opponents with his claw (this move has a really short range)
Dash attack:just like pikachus
F Smash,Down Smash,Up Smash:Just slashes with his claws
Up special:Shadow ball,Mimikyu throws a shadow ball down,and if used in the air,he would gain some height,however,if you use it on the ground,It will explode,and you would gain a bunch of heigh
Neutral Special:Swords dance,Mimikyu would summon two swords that would spin around him.
Side Special:Drain punch,just a....punch(duh) that heals Mimikyu if it hits an opponent.
Down Special:Play rough,works just like yours

Also, i have another idea for the activation of Mimikyu's Final Smash. Rather than dashing forwards to activate the cinematic, it's cloth opens up and points away from the screen, sucking all opponents nearby in, similar to how Sora and Mega Man's final smashes activate.
I had a gimmick idea, if mimikyu was for example on the floor, then if the opponent looked underneath it, they would take 1%
I really like the serie and I hope you'll continue, for the next character could you do either Joker from Persona 5 or Bandana Dee from the Kirby Serie

Mimikyu can actually learn telekinesis, which makes it float

I think that instead of Shadow Sneak for Mimikyu's Up-B, Copycat could be used. In Generations 6 and 7, the animation shows the user doing a backflip and then using the opponent's last move used.
For Mimikyu, it could glow for a brief moment and then flip forward or backward into the air. If an opponent hit it during the glow with a physical attack, Mimikyu will dash towards them and deal the same amount of damage as it took. Basically a counter-recovery.

Another Idea, a Punch-out character. More for the sake of the challenge. I suggest Someone like Aran Ryan, with his Glove Rope as a gimmick, he could also steal moves from other punch-out boxers. Just an idea
I like the costumes bassed on mina and accerola, but maybe instead of one set of the children's clothes we could have a mimiky-esk design for pichu and raichu, or others (like dedene, or pachirisu) replacing more of the costumes.
I think that side B should be play rough and down B could be disguise so he can take a lot of damage but only absorb like 70-80 damage in one stock.

Number 1 of making trailers (in smash style) for the characters: a smash invitation is on the ground in one of the many wild grass sections in Pokémon a creepy dark hand comes out the grass and try’s to grab it but the hand gets crushed by one of buzzwole’s (who just came out of a wormhole) legs he grabs the invitation but immediately gets caught in a beast ball by a trainer the shadowy hand that is now damaged grabs the inavtaion and reveals itself to be a mimikyu.

Here's an idea for Mimikyu's Up B: Wind Catch. A move I came up with on the spot, thus proving creative liberties. A breeze will blow under Mimikyu's cloth, boosting it upward. This doesn't do any damage, but it will push foes away.

A true Alolan Pokemon that played many hats in the Pokemon world! (Anime - Anime side Antagonist, Game -Totem Pokemon, Overall - Pikachu's Alolan Cousin Species!)

Actually, I'm not really sure about Mimikyu as a Fighter in Smash. I feel like Mimikyu would be...too scary for the roster. Meowth, on the other hand, would be a perfect fit. Not only has he been relevant ever since Team Rocket first appeared in the anime, but I can also see him having a unique moveset. And his Star KO scream would have to be "LOOKS LIKE I'M BLASTIN' OFF AGAAAAIIIIN!"

I would like to see a character from Bravely Default or second like Dark knight Altenis Dim or the Emperor.... or someone from octopath traveler like olberic ;D but the most important question still is the moveset of waluigi....(I,m not one of the guys that freaked out... but after watching many people wanting him in smash, I somehow want him, too XD)

Peraonally, I think a good Down B would be "Destiny Bond". How it would work is that whichever opponent hits Mimikyu after DB is used, once Mimikyu is KO'd, the enemy would either take damage equal to half Mimikyu's upon death. If the foe is above 100%, it is a automatic KO. DB lasts 10 seconds, and in itself is hard to hit.
I think it fits Mimikyu both in character, and in Moveset

Mei-Ling: You could say that. Legend says that anyone who sees Mimikyu's true body is doomed to die horribly! Even without that curse, it has deceptively long reach with its claws. Not only that, it can steal any item your carrying!
Snake: So not only can it use the supernatural abilities of a Pokemon, it can also steal my explosives and use them against me...
Mei-Ling: Just be careful, Snake. It's jealousy towards Pikachu has made it bitter towards everyone.
i think mimikyu's up special should be like when it uses shadow claw in the air. If it grabs onto something it wil get on the platform and if you press b again it will crash itslef down and hit opponents
I love the concept of the moveset, I actually made my own. However, that being said, I don't really agree with some of the moves used, whether I never used them in the first place, or they're not in the right slot.
So, I might as well explain what I think Mimikyu's attacks should be.
Neutral Special: Shadow Claw
Works similarly to your Wood Hammer concept, having it hit harder and have a chance to do even more damage (Like Ridley's Skewer), but allows Mimikyu some more mobility during the attack. Would also have some more knock back, and also not to mention it doesn't do it overhead, it instead does a clean swipe in front of it, also getting some of the fighters if they're behind Mimikyu on its hand's way back.
Side Special: Play Rough
While I did have Play Rough in my moveset, I had it as the side special. Mimikyu would lunge forward, attacking anyone in his/her way. This could also be used to get away from impending final smashes, smash attacks, and the like. If Mimikyu misses, it bounces off the ground, preforming a smaller jump after, turning the other way in the process (So it faces the opposite direction of the direction the attack was used).
Up Special: Wood Hammer
Same deal with Play Rough. Mimikyu jets upwards, in a similar fashion to Kirby's Up Special, then grabs its wooden tail, which grows in size, and Mimikyu attempts to slam the Wood Hammer into its opponents, possibly spiking anyone underneath. If it hits the ground, it'll get stuck, kind of like how Corrin's Side Special can get stuck in the ground if timed right. And similarly to Corrin's Side Special again, Mimikyu can press left or right to do something other than just float there. If the button that Mimikyu is facing is pressed, it will adjust the wooden tail to land it safely on the ground, also while crushing anyone underneath the wooden tail as it lets Mimikyu down. If the other button is pressed, then Mimikyu will launch itself backwards, giving it potential to use Play Rough to perform an extra recovery move as well. And, like in your moveset, it will deal damage if Mimikyu hits the opponents, but doesn't fiddle with the disguise at all. KEEP IN MIND: Mimikyu can only preform Wood Hammer 3 times while airborne, meaning Mimikyu will have to land on a platform in order for the Wood Hammer meter to reset.
Down Special: Pain Split
An... interesting counter, honestly. If Mimikyu lands this move right, the opponent that attacks Mimikyu will suddenly gain half of Mimikyu's damage, while Mimikyu removes half its damage, much like how Pain Split works in the original games. HOWEVER, if the opponent is at a higher percentage of damage than Mimikyu, then Mimikyu will GAIN damage, therefore making this move not work as intended.
As for Mimikyu's Disguise mechanic, I believe that Mimikyu should at least be able to restore its disguise. If Mimikyu holds still while its Disguise breaks, it will work to recover its Disguise, therefore making it function again. However, to prevent this from being TOO overpowered, the more you have to recover your disguise, the longer it will take, and eventually, the disguise's head will just fall off altogether, removing Mimikyu's Disguise mechanic. It will obviously get it back next stock. Also, if an enemy enters a certain radius, Mimikyu will stop trying to fix its disguise. This will reset any progress Mimikyu has made to restore its disguise, so if you're facing a character who's fast (Such as Sonic), then they'll give Mimikyu a rough time when it comes to restoring its Disguise.
Other than those moves being different from the moveset I made, the moveset you made really works for Mimikyu!
Mimikyu is truly one of those Pokémon that is great at being a side helper and it’s own main. It comes off as a selfish bastard who hates Pikachu but is actually a sad lonely little guy who just wants to be loved.

i think the down special should be copycat. it would stay in place and slightly reduce damage. but if it is hit with an elemental attack (fire, ice, electric, etc.) it can us e the attack again to release that attack.
