Well Jesse didn’t want Mimikyu to be subjected to the harsh lifestyle that is Team Rocket, so it was a good call on her part to let it go. At least they went on to live a happy life afterwards because Mimikyu doesn’t deserve to be sad and lonely.

the first time ever i was so proud of team rocket, especially meowth and Jessie who went way beyond their limits to make mimikyu feel loved and befriend it. I loved how Jessie tried so bad to help mimikyu and always took care of it. At the end only because of how meowth explained it, mimikyu was able to forget the rivalry and accepted itself, leading a life with her pokemon friends.
I really like the friendship as well :)
There were times before that Team Rocket are very nice people, you know Jessie is a trained Pokemon nurse her dream was to care for Pokemons and has helped her Chansey friends to get better at nursing. James and Jessy also spoil their Pokemon and treat them as equals (Meowth) to the point they don’t even listen to them and do whatever they want as they’re technically free their pokemons love them. To the point where Jessie purposely damaged the pokeball to permanently release Dustox because it refused to leave her. But Jessie want it to go on and live a happy life. Which is i think only time a trainer ever does that. The team rocket are just misunderstood

If I recall correctly In the dub Meowth gives Mimikyu a pep talk about not being hung up on its looks, but in the original japanese Meowth says "Nothing good comes from hatred, now might be the time to start looking forward" advising Mimikyu to let go of its hatred for Pikachu so that it can develop and be the best Pokémon it can be.

3:48 Honestly I kinda wished that stitching on the disguise became a permanent part of Jessie's Mimikyu's design, not only to reinforce the importance of that moment & the episode in general, but also to give Jessie's Mimikyu more of a distinct apperance than just a regular Mimikyu. Idk it's just something I've wanted the series to do for a while I suppose, it's also why I always nickname my Pokémon in my playthroughs
That would have been really cool! It may just be that they didn't want to add more to the animation

Yeah I can easily guess why, just wish more of the important Pokémon characters got more unique designs so they could further stand out as their own characters, I also think it's due to the marketability & wanting the Pokémon to stay easily recognisable (I think I'm also spoiled by all the cool designs the fanbase has made of their own Pokémon, making them distinct but still recognisable, my favourite examples being the comic "Nuzlocke: Rea" or "Nuzrea" for short, nailing that middle ground when designing my own Pokémon is big goals)
But I am just an Artist so I guess things like this just stick more out to me 😅

Mimikyu’s clothes are fixed when they are asleep
So maybe it was fixed when he was in the poke ball
A cool idea would be to buy a mimikyu plush and add a few stitches yourself to kind of make it your own and if you decide later that you don't like it you can just cut them out and it'll be good as new again. You could either copy Jesse's stitch or make your own. I think that would be super cool to customize your own.❤❤❤
The name “Let’s Snuggle Forever” is both adorable and terrifying.

I think Mimikyu might be the first of Jessie's pokemon to have a character arc. Or at least, one of the few to have one. I also like how the writers were able to make Mimikyu sympathetic despite wanting to kill Pikachu.
I think it's definitely the most fleshed out -- I think you could argue the others had arcs (especially Dustox), but none feel as complete

I love how Mimikyu is Team Rocket's first-ever Fairy-type and is the 2nd Pokémon to be caught in a non-standard Pokéball, the first being Totodile caught in a Lure Ball.
Forretress and Corsola also have special pokeballs 😃
first and likely last for at least a couple gens unless they give her hatterene but i seriously doubt that'll happen
@@bluberrydee6205 given what hatterene and her evolution line is and stands for it kinda makes sense to give Jessie one at least maybe the middle stage form. Although I definitely see James getting a galarian Stunfisk or an Appletun

Wasn't mawile Team Rocket's first fairy type? (They got it in X and Y in exchange for trading pumpkaboo) It even had a mawilite, so far I think that could have been team rocket's strongest Pokemon (mega mawile is awesome)

Damn that Jessie and Mimikyu story arc was so wholesome. It's concept is so genius and original. I would like to see Mimikyu's regional variants but with Charizard and Lucario because it makes sense

Legitimatly one of the best anime Pokemon. The fact it scared so many, Jessie love for despite that, and that gleam in its eye that screamed "murder murder murder". I also love its moveset was designed to clash with Pikachu adding to the disguise.
My favorite ghost, and such a heart wrenching storyline :)

I'm so happy that Mimikyu got together with Team Rocket, although I was hoping that it'd be caught by James instead. But Jessie's harsh personality is kinda similar to Mimikyu.
What makes me sad is that for a famous Pokemon, it couldn't stay longer in the series. I literally started watching Pokemon again because of Mimikyu.
Should be interesting to see if Morpeko can reach Mimikyu's heights of coolness

Same sun and moon was so good cool Pokémon new moves, overall a good return to form and the sword and shield happened killing all my likes for it
if youve seen jessies backstory, (theres a video on youtube about it) then you can see that they are the perfect fit for each other. spoiler alert || jessie suffered from poverty etc and she was a very joyful kid and she always tried out for lots of stuff. she never succeeded, but she still kept on trying, and i think that she is the perfect match for mimikyu,

Jesse’s Mimikyu has had a sad life. I keep a Mimikyu plush close to me, despite appearances. I’m actually surprised Jesse even treated this Mimikyu with love and kindness, despite her origins with Pokémon.
Besides Lickitung, she's not too bad with her other Pokemon :)
Her mother left her I heard so it makes sense.

I love how they incorporated Mimikyu in the story like that ! I couldn’t have asked anything less from a cool Pokémon like that but I did wish he could have stayed with team rocket and actually catapult them into a serious threat

That would be one heck of an interesting arc!
Mimikyu has a special place in all our hearts because a lot of of feel that deep seated need to belong and be loved. The Mimikyu is such an insecure and sad little guy that we can all identify with him, if even just a little.
Damn mimikyu probably Jessie's strongest Pokemon and one of the most interesting story arc in the series but got defeated by Ash's Pikachu plot armor hopefully someday he would actually win against Pikachu

I've never really watched the sun and moon anime but one thing that got me coming back to it every now and then is mimikyu's story. its actually one of the reasons I'm binge watching the full sun and moon anime.
How are you liking it compared to the other series?
@@ProfessorAlexSilver I actually really enjoy it. people like to say it's one of the worst part of the anime but the way I see it, people who say that haven't watched it with the right mindset. I think You need to watch sun and moon with the same mindset you would have watching the very first episode of Pokemon. Which is to put yourself in Ash's shoes and enjoy the world he's experiencing like you're a little kid again

It's a lot easier for me to rewatch Sun & Moon knowing Ash's ranking in the Alola League haha. Compared to Ash's noobiness in Black & White and the sometimes lackluster writing in Hoenn, Sun & Moon was a welcome addition to the series.

Mimikyu is such a perfect Pokémon for Team Rocket. It’s so fitting for them to find a Pokémon that essentially represents the pikachu that they’ll never have. On paper it technically works just as well if not better than wobbufett. Jessie especially has a history of failures in love, it makes sense that they’d get along.
Mimikyu protected Jessie from a flock of Murkrow like Pikachu protected Ash from the Spearow 😂 💚 I love it!
Mimikyu is my 2nd favorite gen 7 Pokémon (Decidueye is my favorite gen 7) (: It's such a cool concept and love seeing it in action in the anime (: I love the episode where Jessie helped get his cloth fixed up because she realized it meant a lot to him to wear it. I also love it in the games.

Mimikyu is one of my favourite Pokémon too, both because of its battle potential but mostly for its story. It's so clever writing and yes, I hope to see him appear in another episode one day.

Jessie’s mimikye was no joke as a battler especially it the fact it held a typical grudge agents pikachu especially the one on ash’s side! And it basically the dark version of pikachu as a ghost Pokémon of some sort! Also it would have made a great ace for Jessie on her ultimate team if she were to actually compete in any league or contest of some kind, you get the idea? 😁 those are my thought on Jessie’s mimikyu professor just letting you know that. 😁👍

Mimikyu would make such a great antagonist in a Gremlins or Aliens style horror movie. The idea of creatures dressed up as the mascot of the franchise terrorizing the Alola region just seems so cool

The moves we see mimikyu use is so amazing. Because it’s a real move set the z move doesn’t count because it takes the z moves type and tuning a move of the same type in battle and then replac s it with that so good job mimikyu
I love its moveset -- the moves allowed for its battle with Pikachu to be truly epic
I always loved how even though team rocket “Stole Pokémon” Jesse and James always had some sort of bond with there Pokémon even to set it free

Mimikyu's design/concept is simply genius. I love everything about it. And I was never a fan of the anime (except maybe season 1) and I haven't seen a single episode of Sun&Moon, but this character arc ... Wow. Exciting and touching at the same time. Mimikyu should have won their last battle too, though.

My theory (Mimikyu my favourite pokemon) - Mimikyu is a pokemon of its own, not any dead pokemon its just that it is afraid that people would never accept him the way he was, he knew that everyone loved pikachu, he was really jealous of that and so he got himself in a pikachu rag and never got it off. Pokedex says: Its actual appearance is unknown. A scholar who saw what was under its rag was overwhelmed by terror and died from the shock. I think this happened because he never came out of the rag cloth and never tried to accept himself, which turned him into a jealous, psychopathic monster. But the reason why he had to do all that was because he was really lonely and people were always terrified of even going near him which caused him to become something like so. I, on the otherhand love mimikyu as i think it is the most adorable and lonely pokemon which needs to be accepted, not as a monster but as any other loved pokemon.
Mimikyu is one of my favorites as well! I like anything horror-related. Great breakdown :)

Fascinating! That's a costume? I haven't seen that series. I assumed Mimikyu was able to shapeshift into any Pokémon it faced in battle. Do other Mimikyus dress up as different Pokémon? It's surprising how much time they spent fleshing out it's story. Mimikyu got a better character arc than Rey from StarWars! 😆
I'd love to see a Mimikyu that dresses up as Greninja or Charizard XD It's not too difficult to find characters with better arcs than Rey unfortunately haha

I'm so proud of Mimikyu being the 3rd most popular pokémon, surpassing Pikachu like it's always wanted. A not so subtle hint that Game Freak needs to stop obsessing over Pikachu.
Mimikyu is also a staple on my team due to its impressive stats.
