La diferencia con las metallic que tenemos hasta ahora en Vallejo creo que es esa densidad algo más líquida (efectivamente) y la cantidad d partículas en la mezcla (la propia de la pintura) Al menos es lo que me "canta" al ojo 😉
I have to say that based on this video, I would not buy these metallic paints. The coverage does not look very good, its consistency is also a little coarse. I love the Vallejo Metal color range and will keep using those. Thanks for the video.
Whilst it's not the finest mica flake I've ever seen, it wouldn't be the coarsest stuff i've ever used, either. Sometimes varying the flake size in a project can be handy for achieving a given texture for your metals.
To each their own, obviously, but I'm at least curious to try these, in conjunction with other stuff.
Also remember that Angel paints in fairly thin layers most of time. It's one of the ways that he gets such soft transitions. Not trying to sway you or anything but just keep that in mind when watching his videos. It helps to remember that when/if you try to mimic his style.
The Vallejo metal color range are the best metallic paints I have used, but they can be too thin at times, I may pick up some of these just for edge highlights.

It seems they have pretty much the same coverage as Citadel paints. I've been working with them for a while before moving to Metal Color (sweet lord... BEST metallics so far). I'm not saying no, but I'd really want to get my hands on the new game color range... Especially reds.
These metallic paints are a little more liquid, making them easier to mix.
Could you make a video showing this true metallic in a complete mini? Maybe with reflections? How does this new formula behave with glazes? Can you make gold out of the silver? It would be great to see the true potential of a TM.

que gran video angel, mi favorito siempre será el metal real, ya que en mi humilde opinión considero algo más "serio" este metal que el NMM y me gusta pintar modelos históricos, entonces me viene perfecto el video.

Madre mia MAESTRO, parece que estés en nuestra mente. Ayer mismo pinte el guerrero del caos "piloto" para mis nuevos Slaves y use el color clásico de metal desnudo y dorados en "true metal". Me vendra de perlas ya que quería meterle unos tonos a las armas para darles un toque mas llamativo. Si quieres te paso las fotillos por el insta!!!! Es un gozo verte usar las nuevas pinturas! Aprovecho para preguntar, los dorados son también así de fluidos, sin perder consistencia? Hasta ahora usaba mucho el oro glorioso de GameColor, es un tono que personalmente me encanta y le doy bastante juego, pero tendía hasta ahora a secarse rápido y ser muy espesa, lo que dificultaba un poco el tema de hacer fundidos.... Las doradas entonces responden así de bien?
Si, los dorados son tambien asi, se hizo esto para que se fundan mejor.

Tiene que ser un efecto de los focos y mi pantalla, entiendo que los brillos violetas son reflejos, no una propiedad del metal. Y por loq ue estoy viendo, tengo la sensación que esta nueva formula se parece mucho a la gama air, me equivoco? (porcierto, muy fan de la técnica de tratar el metal como si fuese nmm usando trueM)

Since I can't afford these paints unless I try getting a couple at a time? I'll work with what I have on hand for now. But this was a great video because it really gave me insight as to how to place contrast on a metal weapon properly (AKA a lot of push and pull towards balancing it out). You can paint metal using the colors you have; the important thing is to know where to place the lights and shadows
I wouldn’t know if they are good paints or not. It’s impossible for Angel to do ANYTHING bad. Cheers!
I always recommend trying all brands and then deciding.
Not all painters paint the same, so we have to use different products. :)

Look pretty standard for acrylic metallic paints. Which isn't a complement. I'll stick to Vallejo metal color.
It is a different formulation.
It became a little more liquid to be able to mix the colors.

@@TheAegisClaw that's not true at all. of you're going to layer or blend metallic's at all you want them as transparent as possible. Dark Star Molten Metals are a good case in point. There are other ways to paint apart from basecoat wash and done.

Well I must say I rather like NMM than TMM. When I see your effort and lot of work and result is "only" ordinary so I´m disappointed. It is not about your great skills but about method. I look for forward to another great video.

Puedes usar cualquier pincel para pintar metalicos, luego tienes que limpiarlos bien :)
nah, it is okayish. I think whatis important if you paint with metallic colors is oil washes and special effect colors like real rust colors or something like that. Even if you highlight with metallics, it still does not look that realistic. And i think NMM looks always better in a stylistic way. Your models are not real, they are just miniatures. BUT if you want to paint them as real as possible, your job is only half done, if you do not use oil paints. In theory it is possible to paint all these effects without oil paints, but it is much more work and much more difficult. I don't think it is worth the effort.
Soon on the channel, there will be videos using oil paintings since I started collaborating with AMMO :).
Not really impressed, doesn't do anything new or better than many products already out there, including being beaten by one of vallejo's other products, metal color which is exceptional.
On the otherhand, can't really knock them, as they aren't exactly bad.
