  • Hi friends! Welcome to another video :) I have been obsessed with the Ingrid Sweater from PetiteKnit since I first saw it, and after watching so many other knitters make it, I figured the middle of summer in TX was the perfect time to make a wool/alpaca sweater! I hope you enjoy this slightly chaotic video!

You are one of the few knitters to show your struggles to get something right, and you actually knit during your podcast. The sweater looks perfect. And it fits you perfectly! That's the biggest challenge, producing something that fits. Way to go! What brand of swift & ball winder do you use? I'm knitting my first ever sock. There are some imperfections next to the heel. I keep telling myself it's my first sock, not my last. I enjoyed watching while I knit, so keep the videos coming please.

Love how it turned out! I am a beginner knitter and it was inspiring to see someone who hasn't been knitting for years and years tackle such a beautiful and intricate sweater! Can't wait to see what else you knit!

The neckline! I feel you. I knit the Moby sweater for my daughter and attributed the neck not fitting over her head to her having a big head. I'm glad I'm not alone in that experience. Next time I knit a PetiteKnit sweater, I'm going to double knit the neckline.

Thanks for your video! I'm going to knit my boyfriend an Ingrid and it was so lovely to see that you loved the process so much. Also: 2 weeks?! That's is SO FAST!! Love your sweater!

This sweater is first in my que. It encourages me to hear you say that it’s a fun knit. Yours turned out great. I’m also planning on making the folded neck. My sleeve length won’t be longer as I’m only 5’2”. I live in Arizona, but I don’t care. I really want this sweater. It does get cold here in the winter. Maybe not by anyone else’s standards, but I get cold. I’m glad I found your podcast.

This is the second time I watched this video and it’s so helpful as I’ve had my eye on this pattern for a while. The issue of selecting the right yarn is uppermost as it’s quite an investment . I’m working on another petite knit sweater vest, so this is next on the my list. ❤

Your sweater looks so good! I started mine sometime in July and it has been slow going due to work and hand pain. I'm on my second sleeve and halfway through the mock cables. I also had issues with the sleeves and mock cables in general, but I think I understand how to read the cables better now. If I were to re-knit, I would probably spend some time trying to match... maybe. Anyway, congratulations on your sweater - 2 weeks and it's so beautiful!

I love that end 😆 (35:31). You make interesting choices in your videos, it made me lean forward and pay extra attention 😄 (Some editing note: the music was much much louder than your speaking voice, and, so I was lowering the volume when the song started, then turning it back up when you started speaking.)

    Petiteknit Ingrid top down
    Left shoulder
? Pick up and knit the 18 sets furthest to the left along the back yokecast on edge. Pick up from RS with a 4.5mm circ needle and with the short end of the yarn, so first row can be worked from the RS . Pick up and knit sits between the sts on the cast-on edge (see video at petiteknit) in danish??
Work the eyelet pattern as follows
    R1 RS purl across
    R2 WS knit across
I have the back yoke on hold 32 rows down and now I really don’t know what to do next I wish they had some photos of these very different ways of knitting down??
I don’t have a clue how I got to where I am now???
In hope you can help me Francien

I forgot to mention it, sorry about that! I used about 520g of a worsted weight yarn that's 200m/219y per 100g, so I used around 1040 metres/1140 yards to make a medium with a shorter body, different collar, and slightly longer arms! Hope that helps :)

That is a fantastic question that comes with a long story! Basically, I originally started my instagram as an art account and I drew a frog holding a popsicle, so it just came from that (the actual story has more to it, and I'll probably talk about in a future video) :)
