super articulated high detail dinosaur figure is something that is hard to find other than Hammond Collection it's hard to find, i'm glad nanmu make one of these, especially with their high standar of detail!

Hi Andy,
I got mine in yesterday. Honestly blown away by them, I can’t believe it took 3 decades for someone to make JP raptors with this level detail combined with articulation. I may well purchase additional copies of these two and just keep them boxed for a rainy day lol.
I would love it if Nanmu gave us raptors from Jurassic 1 and TLW. I would by the tiger strip one day one. Now that they are in the articulated figure business the sky is the limit.
I hope Nanmu continue this Smart Series dinos. I can see them making this medium size dinos (Raptors, Dilos, Pteras) and up to big dinos (Ceratosaurus, young T-rex, Carnotaurus), leaving the really huge ones to crowdfunding (T-Rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus). Man, I´d love to get all those.
They've already revealed a articulated Carnotaurus figure! As well as a articulated Vastatosaurus from the 2005 King Kong film!
If the raptors were around 50 to 55 bucks, I shudder to think how much destruction the Carno and V-Rex will do to my wallet

I looked up their twitter a few months ago and it was like 1/48 or something like that, im actually confused why we don't have highly articulated and detailed jurassic park figures in this scale, we have scientifically accurate dinosaurs but no jp? David silva should make jp dinos and sell them as just ''90s dinos''

People need to stop slandering botm in this comment section!!! They keep saying that this is better because its cheaper while the botm raptor series which is the same quailty and size as this is the same price!!! These and Botm are both good! (Please note im not trying to hate on these figures)
I absolutely LOVE the Beasts of the Mesozoic! I would say both these and the BOTM raptors are exactly the same quality, just very different style dinos.

I own dozens of BOTM figures. Sorry, these look better. They look like they pose better and stand better without a stand. They're clearly better in ways like neck articulation which BOTM still hasn't figured out yet after all these years. Not hating, I want them to get better.

I'm sorry but, I really like Nanmu and would choose them over a tiny figure that's a hundred dollars compared to fifty dollars.
Mattel and BOTM should take notes. These look insane. A company that focuses on statues makes better articulated figures on their first try. Decent price, accuracy, proper articulation, paint, stands without a stand, etc. This should be the standard.
Seriously. This one figure already beats out all of the current big biped BOTM dinosaurs just being able to actually LOOK DOWN 😮
@@trikeonabike4949 Yep. I say this as someone who back them quite a bit. I'm not seeing much improvement on their color schemes and engineering lately. These JP3 raptors opened my eyes that it can be done EASILY.

Wow - these really are the definitive JP3 raptor figures. They look almost real!
I pre-ordered from Lana time shop after seeing this video a day after it was posted. I originally had pre-ordered thoughBBTS, but after shipping, taxes, and the slight mark-up in price, I would have paid about $20 more. Seems like people exhausted the pre-order stock from Lana time shop after this video, because now the items are no longer listed. If you click on the raptors in your order, it just gives a 404 error. I guess BBTS may be the only other place to get them now close to their retail price. I will definitely try to use Lana Time Shop for the future smart series offerings. Really looking forward to their articulated V-Rex and 2005 King Kong. It would be cool if the rest of the Jurassic park smart series keeps the 1/12 scale like the raptors. It would make larger dinosaurs pretty expensive, but that is the nature of large 1/12th creature figures. A 1/12 Spinosaurus is a dream.

This figures looks fantastic! I hope more species come to this line soon, imagine the dilophosaurus, ceratosaurus, stego or baryonyx in the santiago/ calypso variants. Also would love a 1/18 scale for the raptors. Great figures, I´ll get them
This is a GOD GIVEN!!! I almost have all the amber collection velociraptors and they didnt make the white JP3 Raptor...and now here she is to go with them!!!
So it's basically like a continuation of the amber collection by nanmu. Nice! I need 6 inch scale dinos to fight my gi joe classified!
The scathing reception towards BOTM in the comments section is weird. Very different design philosohpy at play here with how Nanmu has lovingly recreated JP dinos in the past wherein these are direct competitors to Hammond Collection vs BOTM offering realistic dinos inspired from NECA enineering/sculpting (no doubt due to its original creator being a former NECA employee). Not to mention modern BOTW figures of similar proportions like the smaller Tyrannosaurs and Juvenile Rex have comparable articulation. While drawing comparisons is great for informing other companies to do better (like the amazing details, paint apps and articulation setup), it feels weird to bemoan decent efforts for more realistic dino figures like BOTW that other companies aren't offering or willing to venture.
BOTM Is just too expensive.
Yep, my favorite dinosaur figure company does it again. Fingers crossed NANMU brings us an articulated JP Bull T rex & Spinosaurus eventually.

Update, finally got mine but for some reason i have a hard time standing it up.
Finally stood it up but it's in a position where it looks like it's calling for help.
Positioning aside, the paint job is amazing for sure. Especially the teeth detail.
My copy however has a tear of the bendy wire through its tail, likely due to how firm the wire is. It's much thicker and firmer than the usual bendy wire.
Not sure if it's just my copy or i got a bootleg, but the box it came with looked official enough, and since I'm in the tropics I got it slightly cheaper than BBTS.
Cant wait to grab these and the newly announced JP female and Lost World male

They look amazing, I wouldn’t mind adding them to my collection. If the Raptors look this good, imagine how much better the upcoming Carnos are gonna look especially the Male Demon Carno which my most anticipated figure of the entire year.

The paint apps look amazing. The quality is so much higher than BOTM that I really hope this forces changes considering that these are similarly priced figures to what Creative Beasts is putting out.

Hopefully there will be a Disney Carnotaurus interpretation coming in the future
I have mine on pre-order! Can't wait for those and their next smart releases. I just hope they would make some 1/18 scale smart stuff, but I'll gues they'll go 1/12 for small stuff and 1/35 scale with big stuff, by the looks of that v-rex prototype. But I guess if I start a new collection with their stuff, I won't need to mix them up with the rest of my dinos hahahah! Great review as always Andy!

@@CommanderM820 I've just seen the male articulated raptor on Amazon by searching Nanmu dinosaurs and, unfortunately it's $202 dollars.
Sadly I have mine copies of them them for about a few hours yesterday and they broke tying to get them to stand even with the stand
I think this is better the beast of the Mesozoic in some aspects :b

i hope we get every velociraptor in the smart series the jp raptor, tlwjp male and female tiger stripe raptors, blue, charlie, delta, echo, beta, and the atrociraptors. i hope we get allosaurus, indoraptor, and other dinosaurs since were getting a carnotaurus. itd also be nice if we get a smart series peter jackson kong to go with the v rex

Lana Time Shop is where I would recommend. They're an online retailer from China. They're very reliable, friendly, and because they're based in China they acquire a lot of figures very quickly. Highly recommend buying from them!

Why do I feel like the legs and feet are too small compared to the head? The proportions rub me the wrong way. Other than that the detail is incredible

There are adults who like articulated figures too. That’s why figures like those frm BOTM were created, so ppl can put them in different poses instead of js 1 specific pose. Age doesn’t limit what ppl like, especially for the case of articulated figures

@@PondScummer agreed. I’m not saying that kids can’t handle such things but that they shld be careful w them as either the figure’s parts might break or the figure’s parts might hurt them. And some kids tend to bash their playthings together to recreate an epic battle or some sort so the paint might come off as well if the impact is way too hard or frequent
