Really disappointed with the decision to not live watchalong these PLE’s. I don’t have much wrestling friends and WrestleTalk filled that void. Hope they can look past the small setback they had the last PLE

Is that because they were hiring out entire venues to do them though? I liked the in studio watch alongs much better and surely they'd be cheaper to do?
@@gunnersfan111 I don't know if that's true. There's lots of revenue coming in because they sell tickets to those. If they just do a Livestream with the boys, that's still work, and they still have to pay their people to work on a weekend, and the only revenue is coming from super chats and such, I'd guess. This all from the outside looking in, obviously
If I don't like a finish nowadays, I remind myself of WM39, I calm down, and I let them cook. (I liked this ending, btw; Drew can't be champion until he becomes a better version of himself, and Damien needs more time to establish himself as a strong WHC).
I love this point. Drew needs to let go of his malice before he becomes worthy. Great story so far
Damien is never going to establish himself as a strong whc. They put the title on a midcarder at mania and he continues to wrestle, act, and look like such.
EDIT: "never" is a strong word. He could do it one day I guess if he gets another chance at it but this reign isn't it.

How the camera sequence was shot for the CM Punk screwing Drew job...AMAZING!!! Definitely can tell Kevin Dunn is gone.
Why are people surprised over this? It’s very obvious from basically Mania that Punk v Drew at Summerslam and Gunther beating Priest before going to into Bash at Berlin as champ was the best way to go. WWE nailed the booking once more
The reason nobody was criticizing Priest was because he looked like her could’ve very badly hurt himself
It had nothing to do with Jade being a woman, she stumbled and landed on her feet, Priest’s fall looked nasty
You can hear Jessika Carr say "Don't tap, don't tap" to Jade when she did, so, l think she just did it without thinking.

The brilliance of the Chad chopblock on Maxxine is that Chad already used the logic the other week that the guy who gets hit into somebody is the one at fault. So now, how was he supposed to convince Otis it was the opposite this time.
Punk x Drew about to be feud of the year. So much Chemistry between the two.

I have an image of how this World Heavyweight championship feud could go. Drew wins the MITB Briefcase, and Gunther wins the title at Summerslam. Punk wins the Royal Rumble and beats Gunther at Wrestlemania with Drew cashing it on on Punk at Wrestlemania to win it back.

Damian Priest didn't get a title in his first 3 matches, while Jade did.
Damian Priest is not portraited as this god that can beat 4 people at the same time, while Jade did during that match.
It's a huge dissonance from being portraited as this invincible goddess meanwhile she botches every match that's not a 2 minute squash.
The negative reception to Jade, at least for me, is in fact a negative reaction on how she is booked and portraited. It's nothing wrong for somebody to learn the ropes, but there are many other women that already "learned the ropes" that get ignored or are used as squash matches to pander to Jade.
Sat with the comment of episode: “Had Drew not messed with CM Punk at Wrestlemania”, Drew absolutely created this situation for himself and he’s reaping the consequences
Also, shout out to Sat again for carrying the title for the whole show! Can’t wait for the summerslam livestream!

@morlun838 Undertaker did it first so it's not a mid card look on him. Don't misread me here, I'm a big fan of Priest and I support his reign, I was just speculating on why Ollie doesn't see it.

Fun show. Priest really needs a clean win. I'm a big Priest guy, and he can be a proper world champion. I hope this isn't his last reign. Drew getting screwed again does more for Drew's character. I loved it. I wonder what Jade and Bianca will do next. I don't think they should've loss the titles this soon. They were elevating the belts, and now they'll fall back into obscurity. Jade isn't fully there yet to build to Bianca vs Jade. Hopefully, they win those titles back.
Nothing says proving yourself like not being able to put anyone away yourself. WM was Punk helping him, Backlash was JD, and now Punk at CatC.
The ending was perfect. And now sets up two main event type matches for Summerslam right off the bat

For Sat's Zain case, Sammy also was the true spark to make the Bloodline go nuclear. He helped it get hot when he joined as honourary uce then helped the Roman hype when he turned on it to spark the chase for the eventual downfall.

You can’t compare priest to JBL. The heel JBL is a far superior character. He was instant heel for what he did to Ron and then his subsequent promo made him top quality heel.
They did shortchange the live crowd for the benefit of their long term plans. The thing is, they do high price shows in Glasgow so infrequently they don't have to care about burning the town, because they will be able to sell a different match to a starved audience all over again. What's strange is that the undercard was designed to send them home happy, but the main event wasn't. Jade and Bianca probably could have kept the belts until the moment they break up, and Bayley have Piper the ring so she could have a moment with the crowd.
Onwards to Gunther going into Berlin as the defending world champion, probably.
Punk won't be at this Monday Raw but will be at this Friday Smackdown (Chicago)
Honestly I get both of your opinions about priest. I honestly think it's the judgement day that's making him seem Mid card still. He needs to get rid of them and just go on a tear.

@JoeChianelli yeah good point I guess so however I think it would be the right decision for gunther to beat priest at either summerslam or Berlin so building a priest v fin fued could be a good way to further priest and start breaking up judgment day?
@@MrStrawberry86 I feel like if they hadn't made Orton lose so much already since returning, and he wasn't busy with KO vs the Bloodline, he would be the perfect person to put Priest over for good. Gunther beat Orton (albiet in a very cheeky way) so its a believable path to build Priest up, but still not being *quite* as good as Gunther in Berlin.
Who is angry about this? I went to the show fully knowing full well Punk was going to cost Drew… It was obvious. It’s better for the story they’re building. It was near perfect…

Styles vs Marufuji sounds great. A dream match I never thought of just because they never were close to each other EVER at any point in their career. But when it comes to the current in ring style of wrestling, those two might be the two most influential performers on the current generations. Give me that, it's gonna be awesome. Also it makes me wonder of Kitomiya or some other NOAH guy might show up on NXT next week....
When it comes to Damien, my concern was that he ended up the third wheel once the match was over and he as it stands doesn't feel like a credible champion. I like Damien too and I'd of felt better if Drew had gotten booted in the face by Punk during the pin rather than it being very clear Damien was decisively beaten in that moment where it not for Punk referee spot.
I love Sat’s positivity when it comes to wrestlers that many fans don’t give a fair shake (in this case Priest). He’s so good at giving impassioned speeches highlighting how great wrestling can be, even if it’s going in a direction we as fans might not immediately like/agree with. I wish I had Sat’s ability to cut promos 😂 I have a friend who loves wrestling but also hates everything that every company is doing at all times. I can only counter him so much with a positive spin before I just lose my patience and walk away

When I watch (like wm40) I forgot all about the rock, and was legit shocked when he came same for Cena, yet when you guys watch you call the spots “rock where is he he should be coming” it ruins it so much I’m happy yall can watch it like that but I can’t.

I think the issue with basing the Live Reactions success off of how King and Queen of the Ring might have something to do with people still not supporting/watching Saudi shows
The women's tag titles completely threw off my predictions in wrestleleague. It looked like isla might have hurt her hand/arm from how much she was shaking it and it meant that Chad wasn't winning like I had predicted.

We're getting our first wwe blood feud in years. Both men have genuine reasons to hate each other. I love it. Also between summerslam and bash in Berlin we know where the whc is going. Enough of Priest being "mid-card." Dude has main evented two of three hottest crowd shows (clash and Backlash) as the heel. He made R-Truth and Miz feel big time in 2024 as the foil to truth's silliness. He never puts on bad matches unless they are forced to have zombies.

I figured he lose because he got so much promotion and promo packages for promoting clash at the castle. usually thats a typical sign of hyping someone up to fail on purpose. I thought it was a Vince McMahon thing and we've gone away with that but apparently, its a WWE thing. I understand its to promote more of long term storytelling but its not and dosent work anymore.
Bash at Berlin have Cody/AJ 3, hell in a cell. Every time they go out to Europe this year they have a banger match.
HHH didn't screw up, he knew what he was doing. It did suck Drew didn't win, but the screw job by Punk was perfect. It took me a second to realize it was Punk and the way he had his fingers turned for the two count, that was a British thing. Don't really like Punk, but this build between him and Drew has been great.

The clash, the casual want to complete embarrassment dumb to be dead, a poor booking for clash of the castle because they decided to bring back CM Punk, which made no sense. Because of the relationship that Triple H had with friends in Kennedy, McMahon during his lawsuit, which just makes no sense poor booking completely.🤬

It's okay. Drew shouldnt just win because he was at home. Punk vs Drew doesnt need a title, and now you have more options with the Money in the bank winner, Gunther, Orton or whoever they decide to put Priest against at Summerslam. Drew and Punk have a story to finish and it's gonna get more interesting once Punk it's back.
Gunther has a guarantee Summerslam match for the WHC. Whether it's Priest we still have one more PLE to come beforehand.
Solid 8/10 show. Good pacing, booking made sense, CM Punk is still the GOAT.
Felt like a weekly, really dead show. With WWE events being 3 weeks apart, they all feel like special Dynamites back in the day, which would be good for a weekly but it's not enough for a huge event. They are all very predictable and the match quality isn't making up for the low quantity of matches. Takeover had 3-4 bangers, this has 0 bangers

My friend and I are not watching RAW. It's a crap show. Paper champ, don't believe in Sami as a champ (he is a better underdog), no Liv matches, tag Champs are boring. It feels futile and Clash pissed us off.

either way could have been fine. Drew doesn't need a year reign, just a run with it in front of fans, but it also makes sense to not do that. Gunther has to win at Summer Slam, so yeah Damien does make more sense.

They gave you angry clickbait! You should all be grateful. Everyone who hates WWE or, like me, stopped watching with any regularity after they went to Saudi Arabia following Jamal Khashoggi's death, will watch and say "see! WWE is rubbish. "
They know you will all talk about it and pump up the show to have a good gate next time as well, and they can deliver another disappointment for the benefit of long-term booking.
I guess the mistake was thinking CM Punk wasn't the most important F.I.B. in the world.
