A glue book is good to have. An old book, magazine, etc. You glue your pieces on top of a page, then turn the page and have a fresh one for the next gluing. Plus there's no chance of getting glue on the "good" side of the piece you're gluing, since you're using a fresh page each time. I couldn't live without it.
@@farhansadik728 I never use superglue for my collages; I use glue stick or acrylic medium. For heavier papers, you might consider a heavier gel medium. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the video! Your portraits made out of bits of paper are absolutely beautiful! I am doing abstracts-first I do an underpainting on canvas or board, then mod podge cut up paintings I've done on watercolor paper. I love the interplay of lines and shapes made by the juxtaposition of the applied pieces on top of the underpainting showing through. I am still learning. Thanks again! Do you sell your work?

I love this idea!!! I have soooo many old text books that are out of date. I use them for scrap paper but I like being about to keep it in the book.

If you have painted over the art piece can you then use crayons or WC paint for mark making on top
The gel medium will repel most watercolors but acrylic paint and crayons or oil pastels can be added over.
If you put down a coat of clear gesso you can embellish with pencil or pastels.
How do you finish them. With sealant?

What is a glue board?
It is just a scrap piece of poster board that students use to keep the excess glue from getting on their tables or final projects.
