The Al Maktoum family, the royal and ruling family of Dubai, is led by His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai. Although he and his royal family remain hugely popular and loved by the residents of both Dubai and the UAE, many people outside of the country know little about this royal family besides the fact that they are extremely rich. How did they come to power, and how are they so popular? Let's have a closer look at the life of Dubai's royal family. The Al Maktoum family are descendants of the Bani Yas tribe of the area of what is now the UAE, who were the most powerful and strategic of the familial tribes of ancient Arabia. In 1833, around 800 members of the Al Maktoum family branched away from the main Bani Yas family. They took over the Emirate or region of Dubai, establishing themselves as the ruling family of this area. Without any opposition, the Al Maktoum family has ruled Dubai ever since and has now established themselves as the royal family with the titles of Sheikh, roughly translating as "king" in this case. The Sheikh of Dubai now also serves as the Vice President of the UAE, while also serving as the de facto Prime Minister and Defense Minister.

Every family have their internal problems, she refused to return from Europe, in the same europe Megan is not finding it easy in the royal family. My uncle took over my fathers properties after my dad died and tried to evict my mom if not for the intervention of some extended family members, there are families going through worst situations, you cant choose your family but you can at least do your job well and the king of dubai is doing a pretty good job.

Very interesting and it’s nice to know the family members are popular with those who live in Dubai. As a person who lived in UAE for several years, the Royal families of each emirate of UAE is exemplary, considerate and extremely focussed on the welfare of citizens and residents. I can't understand why others are following their personal life and it's nobody's business to do so.

Many people don’t know how women are treated in the family and outside the family. Women from India, Africa and others poor countries that work in Dubai like house keepers are treated like slaves. They take their passports.
They are physically abusive and sexually abusive. One family member threw hot water on one of her servants in a swanky hotel in Switzerland.

After seeing the video with his daughter Latifa, telling about how she was locked after unsuccessful attempts to escape from Dubai, I strongly dislike this man. I don't care how rich he is, you have no right to treat your own child like a prisoner, even if she is living in luxury and not left hungry. It's simply not right in my book.

First of all, if they were humble, they wouldn't be buying excessive jewelry and cars, and second of all if they're humble, why are there poor districts in Dubai?

This is one of the best things I’ve heard ever. Good health and relationships. Enjoying what one chooses to do in their work and activities.
Since my own cancer journey, my view has shifted. Now I know we’re just passing through. So no matter what i personably look for fun and humor in every situation and interaction possible. Most basic stuff like joking with usps person behind counter, who you know doesn’t get enough of that. Same with wait staff at restaurants. Their level of pay vs the bs they deal with from customers on average day.
Then, opps abound for pranking family and friends. In my view this approach is a win win, whether life throws curveball and time is short,, or one lives on to 100
