Hi Chris, your vid's are EXCELLENT. I'm installing a voip system on the sangoma ecosystem, and your videos have helped me A LOT. The Sangoma pbxact thing are fine, but the lock-ins on endpoint manager and trunking, and frankly, the licenses on the proprietary modules aren't really anything I'll use, and this is a bit annoying. Would you be nice enough to answer a question or two? I Do I understand correctly from this (and the Module Repo and Crosstalk PBX Branding video), that if I choose at a later time to add clearlyip services or phones to my system, I can install your modules into my pbxact freepbx version , but I'll get an annoying message in the dashboard of the pbxact branding of freepbx (pbxact) that I have set up, and all I have to do is ignore that, and I'll be able to auto-provision both clearlyip and sangoma phones via their respective EPM modules? On your Module Repo and Crosstalk PBX Branding video, you demonstrated changing the branding to clearlyip, by changing the repo to avoid the annoying warnings. If I rebrand to clearlyip, the annoying warnings will go away, but I assume updates to sangoma module updates will go away as well? Is this correct? If I brand away from sangoma, will I lose the subscriptions to their modules?
ClearlyIP maintains a full FreePBX repo. This means if you switch to their mirrors you get the ClearlyIP modules, no annoying error from Sangoma AND all of the Sangoma modules.
I have followed the entire series and chose ClearlyIP for trunking. Outbound works cant get inbound to ring. Also no audio when answering. I am using pfsense for router/firewall. On doing some research I made some port forward configurations on the router. I am still having the same issue. Initially I was running the system behind a bonded internet connection and thinking it was that messing the system up I tapped straight into one internet connection and created a dedicated pfsense box for testing but still having issues. I am new to phone systems so pretty frustrated.
Chris QQ, is there anything to do (like adding a plugin or something) prior to setup the clearly IP trunk to have the Clearly Trunking option show on the connectivity dropdown menu? Cheers!
Monetising test test test 🏃🏻
Great video
