  • Join us as we walk the Hooker Valley Track in Aoraki, New Zealand. We hiked this in March 2022 on a warm clear day.

Some breath taking scenery for sure. Hopefully it was just pure refreshing water coming from those nifty drinking tubes, and you saved the wine until later.

lol we did save the wine for later. But when we do cold weather hikes, we have been known to bring a little flask of bourbon with us.

Hi Zoomies! It's a lovely part of the country but I wondered if you've done some of the local Dunedin hikes, like the Pineapple track? Or some of the amazing lookouts around the city.

We have, I actually have many Dunedin videos I want to do. Hoping to do a Sandymount track video soon. So many beautiful views around Dunedin!

It's a beautiful place. I done that track in October a couple of years ago. It was a clear day with lots of snow still on the mountains. Saw four avalanches and the rivers were roaring from the melting snow. If you have free time and the weather reports are favourable I recommend another trip at this time of the year. It would be a long day trip but well worth it. Arohanui guys

I would love to do a winter hike there. I don't think we are gonna make it this year, but next winter I want to do more South Island exploring and see some of these places in the snow. Seeing 4 avalanches would be pretty amazing (and kinda scary)

just wondering what time of the year did you do that hike......must of been earlier in the year when temperatures were warmer ? however the sun does wear you down....food and wine is a good way to recover lol

We did this in March, so still pretty warm, and the sun can be so intense here!
