"It's for You" is a song written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney of The Beatles for Cilla Black for whom it was a UK Top Ten hit in 1964. The song is mainly a McCartney composition.
This was amongst many other songs they gave away for other acts to perform.
This Version is a cover by The Beatles tribute act The Beatnix. In 1994, Glenn A Baker asked Australian Beatles tribute group The Beatnix to record an album called It's Four You. The album featured the 19 songs that The Beatles either wrote and gave away, or never released (at least not until the Anthology series, which came out just after this album), all recorded in a "Beatles" style, using instruments and arrangement techniques similar to those used by The Beatles when the songs were written.

The Beatnix Lp is a must as they recreate songs the Fabs never recorded and gave away. Each would have been substantial Beatles recordings had they recorded their own versions
