I miss my fur baby Barney, he passed nearly 3 months now and after 16+ years, life isn’t the same without him 😢💔

My Mom passed away three years ago and I haven’t celebrated holidays since. I completely understand when half your heart dies how do you live again. I’m so happy she found the perfect dog.

I would never have made it through my dad's passing without my beautiful Akira🐾🐾. She provided a comfort that humans are not capable of! My sweet baby passed away 8 years ago 💔. I will never forget how she saved me 😢. I think about her and my dad everyday and fully believe in my heart that I will see them both again someday ❤

@@bonny-best-dog-ever-1 agree regarding their lifespan and a quote I read one day was "the only time a dog will break your heart is when theirs stops beating",that couldn't be more accurate,it's happened to me several times but I wouldn't swap the times I've had with my past and present dogs for all the tea in China, stay happy, safe and healthy and enjoy the rest of your day ✌️

For all the dogs who have loved me, and I loved them.

The love of a dog can help overcome anything. A dog doesn’t care that you have PTSD He just wants you to know he’s in your corner 💖💖💖💖💖🐕🐶🐩💖💖

I have watched this programme when people have trotted off with a dog and I have said. That’s not right for them and low and behold it is brought back.

I must admit I don't really get this "the dog doesn't like me" thing. Surely if you take the dog home, feed it, walk it, and love it, it will love you in return. That's what dogs do.

I tell my boyfriend all the time, the only reason I’m still on this planet alive is because of my fur babies. I can’t leave them.

I am not comfortable with encouraging people to adopt pets when they are at a low ebb. Whilst I appreciate that a pet can give you a wonderful boost and fill a void animals have needs of their own. Especially ones that have had a bad start in their lives. There job is not to fulfill their owners needs. It is the owners job to fulfill their pets needs. It is like having a baby because you are lonely and desperate for love. It is selfish and unfair in my opinion. Am sure this post will not be popular but I think the time to choose to take on a pet is when things are great in your own life not when things are bad.

I couldn't agree with you more. 👏 The dog's needs comes first & true trust takes time & once you're worthy of it it lasts for a lifetime. Thanks for sharing it should be a very popular comment, if it was the dog shelters would be empty. Thanks for caring, your dog/dogs are very lucky to have you. 👍🐶

Considering that only about one in ten dogs EVER gets a home, any decent and good animal friendly home is enough. Taking care of an animal is a mutually beneficial situation.

Rescuing dogs is already so difficult. I think it's fair for people to want a dog so fulfill some emotional need as long as they are there for the dog also. I do somewhat agree with the post though, as I don't like people getting a dog straight after another dies, totally rubs me the wrong way as a replacement. But yeah as long as the dog's needs are met I see no problem someone getting a dog to fulfill something in themselves

They give a dog few seconds to bond. Obviously this is because of the drama and the show and if he´s not showing instant interest - it´s a let down and no match. In real life bonding takes some time and surely the dog can smell her depression and mood and choose another person present with more positive energy.

They gave that first dog 30 senconds. It got along fine with the others...but the selfish woman couldn't give it some time. I wouldn't have 😊given her any dog...

People make the same mistake over and over. Nervous dog worried the person they know left, adopter person calls and calls and calls and when the dog makes the brave effort to go over instead of giving the treat the person goes “psych! No treat, now you have to work for me. Sit! Sit! Siiiiiit” sounding like it’s a warning that they have to sit or else they’ll be punished.
Dog rightly wanders off as person is a liar and ungenerous and controlling.
Then this dumb person says “he doesn’t LIKE me!”
