Even though games with a 100%+ payback percentage are practically non-existent even the games that only pay around 99% are great for earning comps. You can play for a long, long time on a $0.25 machine on a $100 bankroll if you know the correct strategy for that paytable. So while slots earn loyalty points about 4 times faster than Video Poker on average, you won't ever blow through 200 bucks in 5 minutes playing VP at those levels and you end up earning the same amount of loyalty points overall, it just takes a lot longer.
How do u determine what card was next when a machine doesnt hold the card you held and u would've been a winner. They look at the hand and tell u what they think was coming up next.
Great video and information, thanks! Sometimes I think VP is set to hit or not, because why are some machines “Hotter” than others? Seems like, sometimes I can sit at one machine and hit several times meaning four of a kind or better, and other machines I can’t hit anything? I rather think it is random, but I see some of the same patterns. I do like to play VP in Nevada knowing they do have regulations as opposed to the Indian casinos in California. Anyway, thanks again.
I tip VP people zero UNLESS they have "bought into" my play which I always offer dude at the bar. If I'm playing a session where the bankroll is $500 I ask the guy "You interested in buying into my slot play?" For $100 I'll give you 25% o whatever I'm up after playing thru the $500 PLUS 50% of every payout for 4 of a kind and straight flushes. In the past 10 years about 20-25 have "invested", a few broke even, one netted about $600 and another $1000 and once I hit a straight flush (not a royal) and dude netted $1800 total. Not a bad day for her.
feels like tipping is mandatory in Vegas, even tho its not. like u r pressured to tip and if u dont then u r being a prick that said i dont mind tipping, just find this to be interesting esp since theres no consensus on how much you s/ actually tip
Michael, off topic question. A decade or so ago, I thought I saw the website wizard of odds being sold on a site the sold active business websites. Did you purchase the site or seek to sell the a long time ago? Just curious, maybe a copycat with a similar name or something.
If I understand Bob dancer and many folks on the big video poker forums, it’s getting harder every year to grind much of a profit, it’s really dependent on your mailers and being able to play on off hours and days when you get more points for your play.
Bob Dancer is BANNED from playing VP in nearly every casino in Nevada. And he is banned in ALL of them at $1.00 machines and up. He makes 90% of his income on books, videos and seminars these days.
Im a local regular player, dont tip on any jackpot. I can see it if your an infrequent visitor and manage to pop a fatty....hopefullly not play it all back to tip. Its casino strategy to pay you in some $20's. The casino doesnt help with the tax....so no tip for me...I take care of my servers very well.
I offer my servers a chance to "invest" in my game and about 2% of the time that happens. If they are willing to gamble, they get paid, if not it's $1 or $2 a drink depending upon their attitude.
I enjoy playing video poker machine that have multiple hands played at the same time. Is that a good play and are those odds are different than single hand games. And do you always play the maximum bet on each hand.
The ONLY person you need to ask VP questions of is Bob Dancer, the undisputed KING of video poker. Buy and read his books, watch his videos and take a seminar class....or three. Asking "random" people like these guys is not a very smart play. These days you can almost always go STRAIGHT to the experts...most of the time for FREE.
If you tipped the dealers after a BlackJack, would the same applies when they get a BlackJack? Will the dealers tip you even when you have lost? You are an absolute idiot!
@@woonchungliong4173 Tipping a dealer is FAR different than a slot attendant or whatever they are called. If you want GREAT vp strategy watch Bob Dancer. Never heard of this guy.
So if the cards aren't predetermined how can they say there's a 95% or 99% payout? Are they going by poker odds?
mathematics
Because they pay just below the actual odds of hitting each winning hand. The lower they pay below actual odds, the lower the percentage payout.
I have gotten the same card back that I have discarded.
That should never happen anywhere in Nevada or in most US states. There are some areas with lottery or bingo machines with a video poker "skin" on top of it that are not real video poker.
