lmao this comment had me rolling. I'm slowly pushing the boundaries of acceptability in the medium. maybe next vlog I can work in a waterboarding/river joke
That was a super entertaining one. I think you played pretty well and navigated these spots against maniac players skillfully. The only hand I thought was a punt was the final hand. Tripling off for your stack against the loosest player at the table who’s already shown a propensity for calling down light and playing unorthodox ranges..? yeah probably not advised. Great Vlog though you are perfecting your craft.
I definitely thought about that... I still think he mostly has Ax in his range here, and considering the fact that he tanked for over a minute with two pair, I think it could be good. But it's definitely open to debate
@@4betblind Yeah I suppose it’s sped up in the video. If he has just an ace there he’s folding. Unlucky that he made two pair. Still, I try to avoid bluffing the fish 🤣 either way well played
Where are these people in Tampa??? The only people I play against are the old guys who are just there for free coffee and Asian ladies who only play aces 💀
Having watched the style of play in your area, it had to make your day when your buddy tipped you off about the two guys trying to light hundos on fire! It's tough playing those games and having to force the action because the deck won't cooperate. Sorry for your loss but looked like you guys still had fun.
Yeah you definitely need to run good to maximize the opportunity in a game like that, but it was still a super fun lineup to play in. Thanks for feedback and checking it out!
Hey man, new fan of the channel, really love the authenticity and the commentary that the other more popular poker channeled just don’t have. With that said, wtf was that final hand 😂 ima be real I’m prolly a losing player at the tables as I play pretty tight, but damn. Idk maybe I’m more prone to just take my losses there coz joe at least would have had a pair I think , and really the only hand that beats his is a straight with JT. So yeah I’d have just taken the 70 dollar loss approximately before the river there
That JT of clubs hand was so close on the flop. You don’t want to think there’s monsters under the bed and you want to make strong hands against the 2 WWE maniacs, but even with them in the hand what can all of these players have calling the $80 pot size bet. It sucks too because there’s enough 67, random two pair, and random 8x that’s just going insane. Plus the OMC short stack that called the $80 for all in could have a set, overpair, or even if he’s the one with a higher flush the side pot can make up for it if you bink. It’s a tough spot man, I don’t know if I would’ve been able to fold flop. Tough session :/
totally agree, it seems super close. in general, I think overfolding the flop is good in these games, even if it's slightly nitty. that will probably be my adjustment moving forward
@@4betblind Thats a good takeaway, seems obvious but now that you say that I’m gonna keep that in mind more often because I can make some sick folds but when there’s maniacs at the table I can sometimes sway to the looser side, I need to remind myself to do the opposite. Thanks man🙏🏻
I assumed it was a Spinal Tap reference. They write a musical about Jack the Ripper. You're a naughty one Saucy Jack You're a haughty one Saucy Jack When the streetlamp gaslight flickers and fails Then you see the last light glinting off the entrails Your guess is better, I'm old.
@@quercusquercus532 I think we're both right - 4BB is referencing Metal Gear, which was referencing Spinal Tap. The localisation on that game was incredible.
The last move is one that we've all made eventhough we all know it was unnecessary risk. I think joe was a bit passive due to the fact that he looked like he was getting up.
5:00 PF, I would open with raise. However, flop x,x,x,b - c,c, is a fold for JTcc. Obviously, at least 2 opponents must have a DRAWING hands. On this board, it's a flush that must be a drawing competitor. J high flush draw is a NO GO, despite of all pot odds. R: 1) you're behind 2) some of your outs are counterouts. The most dangerous drawing situation to be. T: tortilla Joe calls flushy Turn is a dangerous sign: He's not afraid of flush board. So: River must be a checkback-call/fold.
Hard to get away from that one, if anything that king would have been a relief and emboldening. Just a rare hand that both opponents not only had the overs but had the flush. I feel like he played it right 95% of the time.
I think you did well considering your opponents. It is extremely difficult to play against wild players. The best advice i can give is to reduce your bluffs and stick with ABC poker. Fit or fold, its basic and boring. If done properly in this game you could have pulled out 200-400$ with minimal risk. Unless the dealer is hitting you with the deck, the less risky boring move is the play here IMO. PS: Love the river bet on the last hand, the only issue was stack sizes compared to the pot. You want to over bet jam big against wild players if you choose to take that line.
Love your videos, but even as an amateur I can say you played crazily. Why not just keep milking over time? No need for hero bluffs on the river. In my opinion of course.
Shoving should never have crossed your mind on the river it looks like a bluff. What were you trying to rep other than the obvious hands? Max you should have bet on river is about $190. Even though, I have watch all of your vlogs to this point. In my opinion your turn bet was to large for my liking max there should have been $50. Alot of people say sometimes I dont extract max value, but alot of times they end up the same players that I felt. Do you get it? I feel like you play well, but you over play spots at times. Please do not think I am ragging on you I just want you to get better sir.
7:51.._Joe instantly calls._ A CS does not raise!! A Whale does not raise even less than CS. Why would any profile raises turn with two pairs while AQ is your range??? So: yes, Joe might easily hold two pairs here! Also, TJ is also possible. (J blocker, number of combos, gto...bla, bla...what they say, throw it to cats away). In any way, he goes nowhere if river is a brick. (if he missed flush, then he does not pay any bets, anyway!!). And river is NOT a brick! Completes an open ender. SO: NO BET a river!!
The good news is that you can ask Tortilla Joe for a job at his construction company

Very honest that you are showing that even a good player doesn't win every time. But really, that last game of yours was a kind of russian roulette 😂

why does the crupier takes a chip in 5:36???
rake probably

Unblock not block

You should have given up or tried for a much smaller bluff like 150-200 which should be enough to get him off qxs and Ax one pais.
The flush hand was not bad at all. Of course you're worried about A/Qc
