  • This certainly must be one of the world´s most weird and moonlike landscapes? Found in Arctic Norway on the Varanger peninsula. Such is the road to the deserted village of Hamningberg. A village that could no longer survive in the hostile and tough climate up here in the north. The Varanger Peninsula is the most remote place in Europe. A surreal and otherworldly landscape towards an abandoned village, Norway. It is like you are on another planet when you visit this barren place located at the very north of Europe. This landscape is incredible and beautiful! And the village is as isolated as they come.

A very isolated place to live with just 250 people at its peak. Yes, some very lovely houses. Thank you for sharing your visit with us.

Been there. Intresting fortifications from WWII up on the hills there, I almost fell into a large dugout!

Nice video - bet the village is really nice in the summer time when people come back for a vacation, thanks for sharing. Cheers

Maybe the drone is close to a Wild life reservation ? Especially predatorial birds can be in danger around drones as they are not afraid. There are many No-fly-zones around known nesting sites for the Peregrine falcon.

Not everyone appreciates having a drone film them without their permission, I certainly wouldn't. Otherwise great video as usual.

I think this comment is spot on. I think you might have shown a little more deference to the guy.

    1) Yes, he is a demented and tortured soul.
    2) Imagine all the Dynamite that was used to blast the rock away for the road ? Big engineering job.
    3) It's nice when the food delivers itself to your home / village.
    4) I hope that most of the homes are owned by local people and folk from the north. Imagine if they were all from Baerum ?

Sick guy yes indeed...I think the people out there are YES the descendants mostly of the people who lived there..

You folks think he is demented, tortured and sick? Have you considered that perhaps he is there to get away from the hyper-invasiveness of modern society? Then outsiders show up and being told they don't want to be filmed but they do it anyway... which makes him angry.
And he is the one that is tortured, sick and demented?
