Shit man I didn't know, heard nothing but guesses. I think it was 14 but might be heavier . It was 100% reliable with it, it shot soft as hell. Felt recoil was low, I just wanted more performance. I think you can see it in the first video I did if you like
When You look at the bins that come from the factory they're pretty extreme and then you know why the trigger is heavy.. I can try to get you a picture, but I think you're better off watching the Atlas sear spring tuning video, let me know if you need a link. It's a great video to teach you what to do.
@MartinMartinez You have to adjust it and then try it and then adjust it again. Once you watch the video and bend the legs a few times you'll understand it. th-cam.com/video/OARYyFlbI3Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BGxFO8uqvVidnRUN
@MoneyShot_CM So the trigger is a lot lighter now but sometimes the hammer fails to lock back and follows the slide forward. That's the center leaf that needs to be adjusted? The one that connects to the disconnect?
@@MartinMartinez Yes, add some more pressure back to the center leaf first. Did you already adjust the over travel screw? If you did you may need to back that off a little bit and wait till you get the trigger pull where you want it and then readjust it. After you adjust the center leaf back, it will give you a better reset
Well it's been some time and I'm still running the 11 lb sprain. I don't think I ever went to the 17 lb mainspring on this, I just never felt I needed it. I did go to it on a few other 2011s and did not experience anything negative, I would have to check my notes on which ones though.
In addition to that information, I did go down to a 10 lb variable spring on the staccato P and it was really great, I have not attempted to go down that low on this one yet.
@@MoneyShot_CMthat’s very good information, thank you! I’ve seen on a few other channels and on Reddit that people are using 8 or 9 lb springs. I’m extremely new to the platform so I’m unsure if that could cause issues or what that could entail, but it’s interesting to see the large variety of spring weights used in these
@mr3xklusiv as long as the gun runs reliably any weight is fine, it's all really subjective. It has a lot to do with how good your grip is as well. It comes down to valuing return to zero over a softer felt recoil. Some people like those 9 lb springs, it's all about your personal preference. I would buy a pack and test them out that's what I've been doing, the pack usually comes with about three or four different weights. I'm starting to see that my preference on my guns are usually in the 10 or 11 lb range.
I think I like it better with the 11 lb, but I just bought a 17 lb hammer spring so I'm going to run that with a 12 lb recoil and the 11 lb recoil, and see where I'm at. That's going to be the final answer.... Before I get it ported of course LOL then I'll start over
What is the factory recoil spring weight? 14lb???

@@MoneyShot_CM Thats whats up bro once again thanks for the video.
Bro, just got the MC9, can you show the tuning you did to the leaf spring? What bends/adjustments did you make to it? A pic?

@MoneyShot_CM did you bend it to look like the one in the atlas video? Can you send me link

Any updates on the 11 lb spring with the 17 lb main spring?

General consensus vs the 12lb?
I think I like it better with the 11 lb, but I just bought a 17 lb hammer spring so I'm going to run that with a 12 lb recoil and the 11 lb recoil, and see where I'm at. That's going to be the final answer.... Before I get it ported of course LOL then I'll start over
