@@kae8204 in many cases its like 70 % for artist and 30 % for company as well. That goes with the song , concept and promotion but YG never went down 50- 50 . Like some company would do 30- 70 deal in a group with large members and the amount is even divided and again idols have to do side jobs due to low pay . In terms of payment I can surely trust YG.

As a YG stan since 6th grade up until now, you said that “Teddy doesn’t show up that much”. YES! your absolutely true. Teddy always hide himself in the studio for the rest of his life and he doesn’t really go out or go to a club with friends. Teddy said way back 2019 that, he wants to be in a studio because he wanted to find beats and sounds that never been explored that’s why he’s very genius in making beats just like BIGBANG, 2NE1, and BLACKPINK songs. He’s living under the studio for how many years. They have demos in his computer just like what he said and they want to preserve it plus release it to the public in a perfect timing.
Rose voice like I can't stop to hear it and if she make a high note, it's gonna be a truly she is. I can't wait to see for blackpink comeback too.

they lived together for like 10 years 6 years in the dorms predebut 4 years in the dorm where jisoo and jennie were making that snack they showed the bedrooms in blackpink house. Jisoo and Lisa got there own place and Rose lives with her sister alice and Jennie lives with her mom. They still use the dorm for mostly when doing group projects.

70% profit goes to the artists and 30% goes to YG. It’s 60% to artist for brand endorsements and 40% to YG. For concerts it’s 50/50. YG has the highest percentage going to artist, this is why some of their senior artist are in TOP ten richest idols, G-Dragon is in top 3 at a net worth of about 55Mil or more.

FYI if you did not notice. The song Rosie sang for the other producer was the song they gave to Jeon Somi for her comeback. It was with Rosies help they were able to get the song to were it needed to be.
It's not the same song. They just used the prerecorded beat so Rosie can sing along. She's singing the lyrics and melody she wrote. Somi's song has totally different lyrics and melody. It's not even the same song.

20:51 Seniority is an Asian culture, especially in East Asian countries. We don't call people only their names if we know their age or we distinguish that they look older than us. In Thailand, we call whoever older than us "P" before their names like, P' Johnny, P' Shawn, P' Thomas something like that and we also call someone who are old than us a lot (different generation) "Uncle" "Aunt" "Grandpa" "Grandma" in case of we don't know their names for being respectful. When Blackpink members talk to each other in Korean, we would hear two youngest ones (Rose' and Lisa) call Jisoo and Jennie "unnie" and Jennie calls Jisoo "unnie" as well. That is really adorable.

To answer your question, yes, they’re kind of not allowed to date for the first 3 years after debut and it’s actually written rule in the contract, however after 3 years not anymore, and this applied to any idol group in any companies, just the specific terms and conditions are varied with each company and each group
yg artists make more than the agency. the artists take 70% and company takes 30%. yg is the only company who is does this and is fair with their idols whilst other companies will have 80% of the money and give the group 20%

CHAEIN the multi-talented singer / dancer / sometimes writer & occasional co-choreographer of rookie group PURPLE KISS (my #3 group, versatile) who has written & composed her own song (w/ rap lyrics by Yuki) on their 2nd mini album, contributed writing other songs including on the debut EP and co-choreographed 3 songs. Another PURPLE KISS member, dancer IREH was also a YG trainee, (not sure on the timeline compared to BP) who helped choreograph those same 3 songs. The group is known for their vocal & dance covers.
EUNA KIM (in trainee group w/ BLACKPINK) quit the BP (or 'Pink Punk') trainee program, went home to NY, then came back to Korea and debuted in THE ARK (has a small but devoted cult following) a 5 member girl group with amazing potential (known for a great dance cover of Boy in Luv that was BTS approved in a legit reaction video and several busking fancams) disbanded a year after first release The Light a pop ballad, but they also had a hiphop dance intro on music shows that showed off their potential. Euna did some music competition shows and ended up in talented duo KHAN with Minju from her former group and they released 1 digital release, the great song I'M YOUR GIRL (sorta retro R&B vibes), a bunch of TH-cam covers including BTS DNA & Fake Love, and appearances on an a capella music show doing an eerie zombie staged Christmas song before being dropped by their crap company, she retired to get married. Sadly, for us former The Ark fans, we weren't numerous enough to sustain KHAN's career (I'm broke & don't buy lottery tickets, but often said if I had Powerball $$$ I'd be willing to invest $10 million financing some more comebacks to try to make KHAN successful). I will forever be annoyed that both those very talented groups got screwed over.
MIYEON, the almost 5th member of BLACKPINK (it all worked out for the best), left before debut for unknown reasons that fueled many fan speculations, went to join 4th gen group (G) I-DLE which also has Lisa's Thai friend Minnie.

All the restrictions like no smoking, no drinking, no tatoos, no dating and many others only apply during their training years. YG artists are basically free to do anything they want once they debuted actually.

I think it's been about 2 years since Jennie and Lisa moved out of the dorm. Jennie moved in with her mum and Lisa got her own place so her parents could stay when they visit Korea. Rosie and Jisoo were living in the dorm up until the end of quarantine I think. Jisoo has talked about how she'd be killing time playing video games and she'd feel Rosé behind her, being bored. Since then, Rosie's moved in with her family (they've all moved from Australia to Korea) and Jisoo's moved in with her family too. But they all stay at the dorm when they put out new music and have group activities

actually, the bans were for some period of time during the debut era not throughout their whole career... actually YG Entertainment is known for how its own way which is why it's different from many other kpop companies like YG used to be totally free towards its artists like they can do anything but back in the days there was a time where some scandals came out (not really big but media and the netizens make it big) which then leads to putting such rules towards its newborn artists/groups... and talking about net-worth each member has a net worth of $10M+ so it's like about $40M+ combined net-worth

On dating, usually all idols are under a 3/4-year dating ban upon their debut. They're not allowed to date. But with YG, both male and female idols (like WINNER, iKON, 2NE1, Lee Hi, etc.) said YG entertainment is not that strict when it comes to dating. As long as they don't get caught by paparazzi, they can date even if they're just rookies.
Edit: Dara, Jinwoo, Seunghoon, Bobby and Lee Hi all talked about this. They CAN date as long as they don't get caught. Even BLACKPINK was onlya2-year-old group when Jennie dated Kai. I think kpop entertainment companies just publicize this dating ban because some fans like to fantasize that idols are their girl/boyfriends so it adds to their marketability to fans.
The dating ban is a standard rule that is included in a trainee's contract. Unofficially, three years after a trainee debuts the dating ban is no longer enforced or rarely enforced.
The reasoning for the dating ban is so the trainees are not distracted and they focus on their training. Trainees that violate the ban get punished and that punishment is dependent on the company and the popularity or skill of the trainee. Punishments range from a talk from management on why it's not allowed to the trainee losing their phone privileges and being constantly monitored by their manager to being forced to train by themselves to having their lines taken away from them and reassigned to other people on your group to being fired from the company and blackballed so no other company will pick up as a trainee.
Post debut, the company may still enforce the dating ban because the company wants to ensure the relationship does not damage the image of the artist or the reputation of the company or to ensure the fandoms do not get upset about it.
When YG was in charge, it was reported that he was lenient on the dating ban for those trainees and artists that he liked. After YG left, the new CEO has carried on that unofficial policy of being lenient on the ban as long as it is kept quiet and not publicized.

Yes they were not allowed to date either, although Jennie has broken this rule back in 2018 I think when news broke out that she and EXO's Kai (another kpop artist) were dating.
Sadly immediately after this, there was a statement released that they were no longer dating. This was mainly because of the amount of hate Jennie got and fanwars within the fandoms of Blackpink and EXO.
This reason is why idols are not allowed to date other idols or people in general. Their companies are obsessed with making their artists "desirable", this tactic is help boost their groups' image and fame. It's sad because idols are almost never given free will.

If you look closely at the Korean digital chart where Whistle 휘파람 was #1, you can see #2 was Whatta Man a subunit song from the other monster rookie girl group of 2016 which was I.O.I, a temporary one year contract group (winners of a music competition tv show PD101) who had as their center future soloist Jeon SOMI who now works with BP producer Teddy and is friends with BP.
#4 on that chart is Why So Lonely, my favorite song by 2nd gen girl group WONDER GIRLS who previously had a hit with I'M SO HOT which BLACKPINK later did a cover remix with new rap for I think Gayo Daejun performance a few years back.

You mention that it's cool they have this behind the scenes videos... Actually they along with other YG artists are very well documented from the time they were trainees. During their training years, their evaluations are recorded. Not everything is put out in public but as you can see from the clips showed in this documentary, YG has videos of them from the time they auditioned to now.
Also, everytime they release new music, there will be behind the scenes videos, making the mv, dance practices and many other videos from their promotional activities. Mostly uploaded to their group channel but sometimes it's also on their solo youtube channels.
