Josh is producing solid no-screen content (phone in the pocket, doing chores)

I watch Josh on all 3 monitors with a duplicated display, on the phone and the TV all at once. The only true Meta to experience Penta-Josh.

If you deduplicate the screens, you can watch five different Josh videos at the same time. That's the true untapped potential of Penta-Josh...

Callum is both correct and very normal for playing fifty-five hours in a single week

Factorio, VampSurvivor, StarSector, Kenshi, Terraria, Project Zomboid, Rimworld, and other Indie games are always my example whenever someone making arguement over "Hyper Realistic Graphics is a must" to make a "good" game.
Nope, these games are proof that you doesn't need Realistic Graphics to make a fun and addicting game.

So Josh makes a mess while the rest of the team runs along behind him fixing it.

I think the expression should be "played you like a tambourine", because tambourines are a LOT easier to play than fiddles.

One work around for the reaction conundrum could be for us, the viewer, to open the original video in a 2nd tab, and let it run, muted, in the background as we watch the reaction. Dropping quality down to 240p would help with power/data consumption if that is a consideration.
I wonder if TH-cam could add a feature to effectively Embed the original video in the reaction page to give the views to the original. But then there may be an issue with YT paying twice for the same vid etc.

3hr video about Factorio, a game I love, and all I end up doing is just listen while playing a different game. Keep up the good ASMR content. lol

Most MMO mechanics are entirely based on situational awareness. The only thing you learn from prior knowledge, is which things you're supposed to stand in, and which things you're supposed to run away from.
Example: One raid mechanic in WoW requires at least one person to be hit by it, or it does massive damage to the entire raid.
My favorite one though, was a mechanic introduced in Zul Gurub. The final boss had an AOE life drain mechanic. But, if everyone was poisoned, he would be hurt instead of healing. But he didn't have a way to poison you. So what you had to do was grab a mob from nearby that exploded into poison gas when killed, and get as many people poisoned before the lifedrain as possible. It was great, because you couldn't ignore it. Even 10 levels later in the next expansion

Gotta say, I like the video, that said, I did watch the reaction half of it on the edition made about the reaction, and the same way, I think maybe would be even better if they had edit the reaction bits OUT of this one and leaved only the factorio bits.

The raid discussion is different to single player optimisation. If someone joins a raid group and has no knowledge of the fight then its actually impacting the fun of everyone else. Especially if the lack of knowledge is purposeful. You want to explore mechanics on a raid boss - you do progression when the fight is new. Expecting everyone else to have a miserable time waiting for you to figure out not to stand in the fire or spread out is completely unreasonable.
However you can still have fun in a raid group where you're told the mechanics. How you play your character is still entirely up to you - learning patterns, learning how other players react to situations, the order you do your attacks, whether you can be cheeky and squeeze a little extra damage in before having to do actual mechanics. I do that all the time.
Example: Lich King on WoW Classic. I know the fight inside and out. Every mechanic is solved. Yet every group behaves differently, and there's enough randomness in the mechanics that you can't just follow a rigid guide. If you know some people are slow at reacting to the Defile mechanic (in short - a random person is targeted, after a few seconds a shadow pool is spawned directly underneath them dealing high damage and if anyone continues to stand inside it the puddle expands in size, meaning whoever is targeted needs to move away from everyone else very quickly) then you learn to pre-warn people the mechanic is coming a few seconds ahead of time and arrange for a direction for that person to run while everyone else runs the opposite direction to speed up the separation. For the Valkyries (again, in short, random people are selected and a ghostly angelic figure will grab them and drag them to the edge of the battle map and throw them off the edge if not damaged quickly by everyone else to get them to drop the player) some classes, with a little skill, can 'bait' the Valkyries into grabbing them by standing on the edge and then using an ability to jump or teleport back up, almost completely skipping the mechanic - with the downside being that if you mess up, your character dies. During the final phase when exploding spirits spawn and your designated 'soaker' (aka, person who has a survival ability to take the hits without dying) is unable to soak then someone can sacrifice themselves in order to keep the majority of the group alive and hope the fight ends without you.
Being new to a raid is fine. Not listening to instructions that everyone else is following is not.

From my phone; Factorio is essentially the epitomy of a fetch quest in a point-and-click adventure

Isn't it ironic, to talk about games no respecting player's time, from a streamer purposefully misrespecting people's time for the lolz? 😅
    Love you Josh ❤

Moon with Sam Rockwel and Kevin Spacey was one of my alltime favorite movies.. before I found out what a monster Kevin Spacey was, I cannot enjoy any media where I know one or more people involved are absolute dirtbags :(

"Factorio is a game about automation"
    > given free drill at start of game.
    > creates furnace row without matching drills, or the belts to supply it.
    > doesn't place any drill for 7 minutes.
This is going to be a long game eh? lol

Yes I enjoyed their products more when I knew less... but I would never switch back.
I expect someone bigoted and callous would rather keep it all under wraps.
