For all gasoline and diesel turbines.
Usage: Start the engine and let it warm up. Remove the air intake system of a flexible hose located between air filter boxes and turbocharger / intermediate compressed air cooler. Petrol engines set 2000 rpm. Diesel engines left idle, never not to press the accelerator pedal. In warm engine spray directly to the turbine inlet. Spray in short interval in order to avoid or unexpected high Increase engine speed and engine detonation. After injection wait for a turn again to return to the original level. If need that gasoline engine falter click accelerator. Diesel engines Never press the accelerator. Continue cleaning UNTIL worn all 200 ml aerosol dispenser. Leave the engine to idle for a few minutes. Turn off the engine. Re-connect the air intake hose. Run the engine accelerator 5-10 times (max. Up to 3000 rpm / min), or a car to pass 5-10 km (within the limits of 3000 rpm / min.) Before turning off the engine leave few mins to work.

An important point is what codes the car computer is giving to try to diagnose where the problem is first. This method will only have a positive effect on the air intake, which is fine if that is what the codes are saying. As exhaust gas is recirculated, the air intake may get clogged with soot and no doubt this method may help that.
However, I don't believe that spraying in this location would help clean the hot side of the turbo at all. This is where the vanes that open and close are located. For direct access to the hot side, removing the exhaust connection would provide means to spray in the cleaner.
So, in summary, spraying in the cleaner to the air intake will not clean the turbo.

This product is purely to clean the vanes inside the turbo itself, cleans up any carbon deposits etc.
Attempting to look like you know what you're actually talking about when you clearly don't is seriously embarrassing!
If you have a faulty PCV/crankcase breather (most European cars have the diaphragm made of plastic which is a common failure). That will cause excessive crankcase pressure, which will not only start forcing the oil out of the seals of the crankcase, but also force oil into the intake turbines and clog up the flow.
What would cause the turbo to over boost? Im certainly about to try this method since i cant think or find anything on fixing an over boosting issue with out spending tons of money @casey2053
@@phatboitex2cali you may have a clogged or damaged wasteget solenoid, make sure that the waste gate it opening at the right pressure.

You have to use it on the Hot side of the turbo (exhaust) instead waste it to to intake and make possible engine damage.

There is no dirt in cold side of the turbo except any oil..when u spray there you send the spray directly to inlet manifold..so in the cylinders also. Otherwise you can clean the hot side cuz there usually builds dirt and your geometry/wastegate can stuck.
I would not i had high hope with this spray. Next day litrully my turbo blew. I did exactly what this video did. Huge regret. I would not do it honestly. You can use forte injector cleaner that will help your engine. Dont this anything will help turbo unless you recon. Hope this help everyone!!
Thanks for sharing your experience! I done test here with this cleaner same as you. But thankfully almost 2 years later and mine turbo is fine. And now after lot of comments I think it is better to take it out clean manually and put it back.

Although the instructions do say to spray it into a running engine, The cynic in me says they tell you that to get you to buy a new can each time you need to clean your turbo. I have found that if you clean the turbo when it is NOT running, the product is just as effective but far more economical. One can is good for 3-5 cleans at least. I also prefer to clean the throttle body individually.
I have also found (on petrol engines) that doing it the way Wynns instruct almost always brings on the EML as the engine 'coughs', necessitating that you need to have a code reader. My method (see my channel) does not usually light the EML.
So basically you want to advertise your channel so you come on here to trash his. Hoping people go to your channel to see the same damn video

I suggest removing the IC and cleaning it out with a suitable solvent once every 50-60,000 miles. It's surprising how much 'crud' gets in there affecting it's performance.
Watch with the sound turned off.
Would be better if you would disassemble turbo, and show difference before and after the cleaner ;)

I think its better to disassemble but I cleaned without removing because full turbo disassemble is difficult and not cheap. Difference - yes it sounds more clear and i think its refreshed and now car runs better.

How does spraying into the intake side of turbo clean the vanes which is on exhaust side of turbo?
I am not invention this product, i just find this in store and bought to try and I used it as instruction says. My guess that when you spray like this its cleaning turbo cold side goes through intercooler cleans it too and from cylinders with gas out to hot side and may be cleans it too.
It gies through the combustion process, into your exhaust then cleans the hot side.
Wynns Turbo Cleaner is expressly for cleaning the 'cold' (compressor) side of the turbo. This video also followed Wynns instructions to the letter, though I have my own method which is more economical on cleaner. Hot side will need to be done separately.
Why would you clean the turbo? Only oil mist goes into it, worst case it lubricates the sidewalls if shaft is already offset...

It acts like extra fuel and ignites in chamber. May be first times I sprayed little bit too much at the time 😄
As he wrote the cleaning solution ignites together with the diesel fuel, and the car isn't setup/programmed to recieve this extra fuel suddenly, so it "misfires" i would call it, causing the engine to jerk a tiny bit. Completely safe to do, doesn't cause any damage.

We got big diesel trucks we prefer to get the turbo out and sent it for repairs if needed and they clean it because we don't want to risk our clients engines to blow mid work so yea if you want to clean your turbo by spray do it my opinion is just get it to a professional or if you know how to fix/clean do it all cars Are amazing expect mini smarts and really small vehicles

Hydrolock occurs when a volume of liquid greater than the volume of the cylinder at its minimum enters the cylinder. Now imagine how this could happen from an aerosol spray.

actually you are not cleaning the blower side,you are making it to rotate imbalance.and likewise puting dirt to your engine...it is proper to removed the unit.unbalance turbo charger damage the bearing.

It can be turbo but always start diagnosing from cheaper more simple components. I can only guess that you have leak in your intercooler.

This aint turbo cleaner,hot side of turbo gets dirty,not cold,you need to take of exhaust pipe end spray it with brake cleaner can,then you will see result 😉 this is only intake cleaner and probably clean only valves,that why you see diference

He wasn't saying they did it wrong he was basically saying the product is useless for cleaning the turbo. In order to clean a turbo either take it off and pull it apart or do what he suggested

I did this to a Saab 9-3 tid 150bhp same product . My turbo was lazy and I could not hear it . After this my turbo was alive again I felt the strong boost and sound. I did same thing to 4 cars now . Try for yourself its good 👍

My turbo is absolutely flat, it works on start up but the cars really slow. Then when I put my foot down an even tho I can feel the turbo working its still flat, it then goes into limp mode an then it's totally like a slug. So I shall be trying this too

I've already stripped the intercooler/pipes/vacuum hose replacements/fuel return pipes/ vacuum pump strip rebuild etc an so much more. Cam cover off to check engine, things I never even had to check! Turbo oil pipe etc
These seems like my last try, but the only thing that worries me is spraying this from the cold side. Hot side would be better. (Mr muscle turbo clean videos)

Wait until your very low on fuel' then put a bottle of dipotane in whith your fuel' cleans all the Shiite out of the engine..

I have a vw 1.9 tdi pd 90bhp and sometimes at 2500 or 3000rpm is a whistle sound the turbo but not any time , just when is hard accelerated, maybe can help this product or something similar product?

But in ships huge engines we clean blower side of turbochargers using pressurized fresh water( A container is fitted with an inlet line coming from the blower discharge side and the outlet line from the container or cylinder goes for washing blower side). And it's done only when the engines are running @ high load rpm for effective cleaning.

@@CycloneCyd @Cyclone Cyd marine diesel engines have crank case relief doors that releases excessive pressure in the crank case and crankcase do have breathers, (not inside engine room fitted at ships upper deck) . These breather are fitted with oil trays below them. Engines having higher bhp are provided with oil mist detection system (to prevent cc explosion)
@@vrun760 Ah, that makes sense. So it is essentially a large catch can system. That will keep the turbos cleaner for longer which is why a water spray is effective. You could design a small water spray system for cars, but because the crankcase gasses are depositing on the vanes, it probably wouldn't be as effective. In conjunction with a catch can system it would probably be great, but the economies of scale don't make it viable for car engines. Car engines don't need to last as long as a marine diesel, and also suffer cold running for a much higher proportion of their lifetime.

D4Ds are pretty noisy to begin with from new. The noise your hearing is how the diesel actually works. they dont fire. they detonate.

So after the carbon deposits get loosen then where will they go? Let me tell you, they will go straight to the intake manifold to clog up the intake valves and the catalytic converter. My suggestion is that when you need something clean do it the proper way. Take out turbocharger and physically clean it with a brush and anticarbon clean\paraffin. Those auto additives can chemical solutions are shortcuts and don't really help

Airflow goes from filter to turbo cold side, to intercooler, to (egr junction) intake manifold. If it cleaned anything it was oil mist deposits from intercooler and egr/intake manifold. God knows what it does to the oil seals inside turbo.

hi sorry 2 years later. its called knok and veichles do that when you lower the recommended ocatne level to self adjust.
in this situation the guy was forcing cleaning solution instead of clean air thus the car trying to adjuat the air fuel ratio by it self to keep it running thus you hear than knok.

Hi, can someone explain to me how exactly this spray can clean turbine with Variable Turbine Geometry and movable vanes. Vanes are on other part of turbo and spray can not reach that part.
I can only guess you aren't familiar with turbos? This method cleans the compressor side only. That is clear. The turbine will have to be done separately.

@@Texasmarine181 i have a 2004 audi a6 2.7t with the s tronic and i go to manual mode and can shift gears whenever i want. But i would imagine if you didnt have something like that, just take your shifter and put it into 2 or 3 manually.

I have never heard of this kind of problem. It may be overlapping that you have a death of sensor or what. Try to perform a computer diagnostic, check that it is false. Good luck!

What no one tells you there is a chance you could totally fuck your engine up by using this shit as I did on my Mondeo tdci, run away diesel engine . Total engine replacement even following can instructions....trust me it cost me a fortune, never spray anything into your turbo.
