Yeah honestly Emery might be my favorite character right now. There is something so compelling and horrifyingly real about someone who has been raised in a cruel world that has convinced herself she has to maintain it because she believes she has no other options. It's so strange to me, this idea the internet as a collective has that title characters not appearing in an episode somehow makes it no longer their story or something. Actions made by side characters effect our title characters, and that's always more than enough. Calling attention to it like it's an odd thing to me is the oddest thing. Guys, they brainwash and recondition these agents. There’s no reason not to expect that they includes a lot of memory and emotion stuff. Look at it this way: if it WAS Cody (lol it absolutely is not) they’d necessarily have to wipe his loyalty to his fellow clone brothers and sisters and erase his feelings of doubt leading him to defect from the empire in the first place. There’s no reason to think they wouldn’t do the same with Tech.
It can’t be a clone of crosshair unless they’re just shredding established canon. Clones take 10 years to grow up, so a clone of crosshair would be a small child at this point. That doesn’t even touch on the degradation of Jango’s original genetic material with yet another order of magnitude of removal from Jango himself, which is also an issue canonically.
If there is one thing I would absolutely love to see happen in these final four episodes as we lead up to this supposed clone rebellion that I think it’s going to happen now that Omega is taken again it would be to see Cody reunite with Rex and the other clones for one last time. I think that all the Clone X troopers are clone troopers who have died and are now being somewhat “brought back to life” through the means of cloning, and this research and testing is what allows them to properly bring back palpatine from the dead. It would also make sense because the X troopers all have their identifying numbers wiped from them so one really knows who they are, even the fellow clones
I'm confused as to why you guys think Fennec was contacting someone OTHER than Ventress. Most of us (those of us who watched the season 3 trailer for Bad Batch) already knew she was showing up this season, and so most us, including many reactors, immediately said after Fennec made that call, "Ok, so we're getting Ventress soon, because Fennec just called her." Why do you think she called someone else, someone besides Ventress? My feeling was that Ventress put the word out, that if anyone came asking questions about how to find people with M-counts, give her a heads up. The simplest answer and the one that makes the most sense id that Fennec called Ventress. THAT is why we didn't hear her voice on the comm; so they could TRY to surprise people about when she would show up, or surprise people like you who didn't watch the season's trailer before the premiere.
I think you misunderstood, they’re fully aware, they’re just saying that they wanted to keep it spoiler free on other platforms for people who haven’t caught up
24:16 And that's exactly what gets innocent people killed all the time. So nah, I have to disagree with Calvin here on this one. It was never said it would be a Dead Man's Switch whatsoever, Merrick himself never said so, but Aaron's point still stands. This is literally what police officers and soldiers do every single day. And do they go to the Dark side after that? No, never. It's called responding with appropriate force saving countless lives as a result. You can't second guess everyone's decision, that's hella dangerous and wastes precious seconds that matter so much in such volatile situations like that. You can never know. Anyone is capable of anything. Anakin was beyond justified in doing so. If they didn't kill him, they'd risk him blowing up the entire ship and killing EVERYONE on board. They are terrorists apart of the Death Watch, who will literally ALWAYS not hesitate in slaughtering innocent and defenseless people just to get their way. He was going to blow it up if he had escaped anyways, so he had to die. Plus, not to mention he had already killed like 3-4 defenseless and innocent crewmembers onboard the Coronet. Innocent men, most likely with whole ass families too. He deserved to die from the beginning. Nearly every time, you have to eliminate a deadly or potentially deadly threat in order to save lives, that's how it works. You automatically forfeit your life if you threaten to take OR have already taken ANY number of lives, by ANY means.
LFG!!!!!! The Identity crisis pretty much centers on Emerie as she was once a child, and seeing the experiments aka Children being held captive, it truly unlocked her heart and humanity the moment she saw them in the room.
I think Emerie is starting to see Omega’s point of view on how wrong all of this is. She could be the key towards the liberation of the clones on Mt Tantiss.
My predictions for this season has been completely wrong but I’m hoping and big clone rebellion happens and idk how I would feel but possibly a vader appearance could happen
My theory is that the "Clone X" are essentially a clone that "never dies" in the sense that they retain the singular identity within different vessels. Like transferring memories and abilities to different bodies, similar to palpatine in ep. 9
There's a rumor that the planet at the beginning may be Zeffo. It totally didn't dawn on me till I rewatched the episode later on that it could very well have been Zeffo

This season is getting intense, I hope Hunter and the rest of the bad batch make it out alive. I love your guy's commentary, it's hilarious, and I can't wait for the next video.
The only reason I'm not certain the operative is Cody is because I feel like if they'd put Cody in the operative program, the cover story would have been "transferred" instead of AWOL. But it's also possible he *went* AWOL, but was captured.
The way Hemlock tried to dissuade Kerr with an added hand wave makes me think... Is Hemlock Force Sensitive? A fallen Jedi? Would make sense that someone who is attuned to the Force would be working on that scientific field for the Emperor (he has Inquisitors after all).
I don't know if I would've preferred Hemlock call Scorch CC-1262 or Scorch because, on the one hand, he's reduced to just a number like the other clones, but, on the other hand, being called Scorch gives him just a sliver of his individuality (enough to remind us of the individuality he once had as "the heart and soul" of Delta Squad). Either one is just as painful
WatchingEmory realize what she’s been a part of this season, especially this episode, has really underscored the severity Nd brutality of the Empire. And hearing the “specimens” wanting to go home underscores it even more. Wish we see/saw this level of Empire cruelty in the live action movies is gut wrenching.
This is the first time that I’ve really been deeply disturbed by any episode of Star Wars. I was a little perturbed by Moff Gideon when he held the dark sabre over a handcuffed Grogu. Order 66 was grim, but you never really witnessed what happened to all the younglings. I don’t think this is an episode I will rewatch.
Cant put my finger on it, but something seems off about 2nd guy from left in the grayish long sleeve. Maybe its his natural rbf or something. Seems like the beard/hair/head is like a costume that doesnt match the personality. Yes im reading into this way too much. Ive viewed quite a few vids from this channel and feel the same on all the others. Literally making me avoid subscribing. What am i missing?
I’m sure clone x is Crosshair and the bad batch Crosshair is a clone of Crosshair. Sounds weird but they seem the same the way they fight. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s tech.
I get it from the story perspective but I’m very uncomfortable with the subject matter in this story. Star Wars has always had metaphors and allegory from real life but this is really dark.
Iv always thought Bad Batch was good but what the fuck how did it become THIS consistently great. S3 is gonna be one of the best Star Wars show seasons easily at this rate.
The Ahsoka novel being completely taken out of canon was the worst for me. I know they kept the main idea but there was so much nuance and so many details that they got rid of. Dark Disciple hurt too but the writers promised there would be an explanation.
What??? Guys if what is created only resonates with the creator that’s great for the creator but pretty much doom for any franchise. You can’t pick and choose what is or isn’t part of the story. You can defiantly have parts that are liked loved hated and revered. Thats what makes stories interesting.
I really think Clone X is a clone of Crosshair cause his line deliveries are a lot like him and when he was going to talk to Scorch for the first time he said: "Why have i been activated?", which iirc is the exact same thing Crosshair said when he was called to serve for the Empire again after that period that he wasn't doing anything (i dont remember why, it's been a few years lol)
4:06 I totally agree with this…but to play devil’s advocate: I’d say I disagree that Kanan’s was as simple of a change. I work it around in my head cannon…but I’m more partial to the comic AND I haven’t even read it😭🤣🤙
14:30 Pretty sure Nala-Se did it. By all means, the clones should all be the same. And apparently, all other clones, the Regs, they've tested so far, are and none of them have this quality. Considering how Nala-Se always kept Omega close to her from even when she was little and still tried to keep her out of the Empire's reach after she'd fled Kamino, she had to have known what was special about her long before the test at Tantiss confirmed it. Funny they'd mention the comparison of what happened last episode with the retcon of the 'Ahsoka'-novel in TotJ. That one i didn't like at all... tiny adjustments like the finale of TCW S7 were fine for me, but the complete retcon in the final episode of ToTJ weren't. I think that was unnecessary, pointless and what we got instead just wasn't as good. Badass to see, but not as good plot-wise. And it's also kind of a mark of shame on Lucasfilm, seeing how they have an entire division meant to make sure that things like that don't happen and canon stays intact. And that brings me to what they said at around 4:15. I agree, partially. Some people in the fandom (sadly, it seems to be a pretty big "some" sometimes) really need to learn to ignore the stuff they don't like. Or at least handle not liking stuff better. And if that means they continue reading Legends and ignore the Disney-era stuff alltogether, so be it. Me, i couldn't do that if i wanted to. My brains not wired that way, lol. If i know something is meant to be canon, it's canon. Even if i'd choose to look past it, i'd just _know_ it's there. That being said... not only do i not dislike a lot of the recent stuff all that much and in the very few cases when i do, luckily i do not turn to unreasonable hate and rage.
isn't this in our-world terms, a body+soul transplant? take everything you have from your former body and put it into a new body, and omega would be the catalyst that makes it work
Welcome to the latest episode of “1001 Reasons Why The Empire Sucks”. This week, we revisit a classic: kidnapping children for scientific experimentation 😳😳😳
About what I don't like in canon, like how they remade Ahsoka's book story in the last episode of Tales of the Jedi, I can think is just some dim memory, maybe even a dream. Likewise, I can also think that Legends are really the legends and fictional stories of the Star Wars universe.
My problem with the bad batch before was it suffered from not being a longer season show like clone wars and rebels. Even tho the episodes were typically longer than those shows it loses the ability to have as much filler. So in the earlier seasons (s1 esp) it felt super slow and at time boring or formulaic. I love the concept and the cast heck even Omega’s grown on me. But at times it felt like a chore and waiting a week for sometimes one episode and its nothing that progresses the plot in a 16 episode season was frustrating. HOWEVER- I have really enjoyed this seasons direction and only one episode felt fillery/couldve been half an episode and another would’ve benefited from two episodes that week. This season despite being ironically slow burn does it in such an interesting way and makes me hate the empire even more without relying on the typical stuff you see in the movies. Plus im super fascinated in all the behind the scenes experiments that went on esp Palpatine’s so its cool seeing that addressed outside books/comics. Also Crosshair’s redemption felt very natural and not “oh i see the error of my ways forgive me brothers” and they welcome him in like nothing happened.
Again the sound work on this show deserves an award. It is amazing. This is a must listen show with headphones man holy cow. At this point just keep making more animated series.
My prediction: Once Hemlock gets Omega back, they are going to the next phase where they'll take the other specimens, put them in a blender, centrifuge out their midichlorians and insert the midichlorians into Omega's blood. The idea that the Emperor would give up any of his midichlorians for these tests seems ludicrous to me. They can extract them from other high m-count individuals leaving the Emperor's m-count intact.
It always really bothers me that some Imperials/Stormtroopers can do the things they're doing, and not realise they're the bad guys. They constantly threaten, harass, and even kill, innocent civilians. You think you're the good guys when you're burning down villages and killing children? It drives me crazy.
Police and the military do stuff like this literally every day (this isn't a 'every single person in these jobs does this' statement, but it's definitely a known thing, and that's not even counting other countries that are more militaristic than ours and are ACTUAL dictatorships). Some of them DO think they are the good guys or justified. And some of them just don't care and join organizations where they can do stuff like that because they LIKE having power over people. Some of them just get so burned out that they view everything as a problem to be solved with a gun.
@lisamarieligreci-newton7804 Well, I'm not from the US and the police in my country don't carry guns. We barely have a military, have no enemies, and are not involved in wars. One of the most peaceful countries on Earth in many ways. But yes, I am very against any form of militarism and authoritarianism. I can't stand the idea of any person who thinks they have power over another, definitely not if they're a violent person who uses weapons to intimidate people.
I wonder if Scorch was subjected to the same things the Assassin Clones were. All of his personality is just gone. OG Scorch would never do what he's been doing.
Still so many people insisting the clone is a Crosshair clone or Cody (I even saw someone else claim it’s Fives, lmao) when the obvious answer is staring everyone in the face. Absolutely wild.
I have not watched this episode, but I HAVE seen 3-4 breakdowns/easter egg videos. You cut so f'ing much that I can't follow the story. This is far from the first time. 😕 I'm dropping my subscription. It's just too annoying.

I’m finally watching these. Where’s Ep 9?
This entire era is so fucking bleak.
Gotta see more Bane this season, hopefully.
Seeing Bane is always nice.
Bane is my favorite bounty hunter, seeing him is always a treat
he already has the plate on his head meaning he's already had his duel with boba. likewise I don't see boba being introduced this late in the show.@@Senormoola
This season is getting intense, I hope Hunter and the rest of the bad batch make it out alive. I love your guy's commentary, it's hilarious, and I can't wait for the next video.
I LOVE YOU GUYS
You know things are bad when I'd rather see naked Sheev/ Snoke clones in tubes
Have the writers changed for season 3? This season has been incredible so far.
The only reason I'm not certain the operative is Cody is because I feel like if they'd put Cody in the operative program, the cover story would have been "transferred" instead of AWOL. But it's also possible he *went* AWOL, but was captured.
Thanks to Eric, Rick, Calvin and Aaron! 🪞
Ah yes i watched the whole video last minute and shall now make a meaningful comment
Your stereo is flipped, isn't it? Loved the episode and your thoughts.
After this episode, I might have to cancel my Disney Plus subscription. Kidnapping and torturing children should be rated R, Right?
Hemlock GAVE the batch the remains of Tech's goggles, so it is actually a given that Hemlock or some other imp made an effort to find his body.
“Think it’ll cheer us up?”
“Nope!”
Haha classic
I really think Clone X is a clone of Crosshair cause his line deliveries are a lot like him and when he was going to talk to Scorch for the first time he said: "Why have i been activated?", which iirc is the exact same thing Crosshair said when he was called to serve for the Empire again after that period that he wasn't doing anything (i dont remember why, it's been a few years lol)
Exactly. And also the scematics in the desk at the end looked a Lot like wrecker...
Where’s the next episode at??
Hmm i wonder if Grogu was kindapped for this reason as well...
Man, Nala Se sounds so weak... I don't think she'll make it till the end
I was crying by the end of this ep. Seeing the kids like that is so sad
The 2 part ep in S2 on Coruscant had one without the bad batch
This has been an incredible season of tv so far!
Man y’all look rough in that thumbnail. Y’all ok? I know there was something about flooding.
Probably just the fact that the episode was depressing. Those poor kids 😢
Todo is back WOOOOOO
4:06 I totally agree with this…but to play devil’s advocate: I’d say I disagree that Kanan’s was as simple of a change. I work it around in my head cannon…but I’m more partial to the comic AND I haven’t even read it😭🤣🤙
Eva: "I like your glasses."
Emerie: "I'm afraid they're not for sale."
Eva: *laughs*
Emerie: "Laugh all you want, they're not for sale."
I just want to say, they finally confirmed “Commander Scorch” as the clone from delta squad.
Hay blindwave you should make a reaction video of x-men 97 reaction, x-men evolution reaction, and wolverine and the x-men reaction
kisses 😊
Again the sound work on this show deserves an award. It is amazing. This is a must listen show with headphones man holy cow. At this point just keep making more animated series.
My prediction:
Once Hemlock gets Omega back, they are going to the next phase where they'll take the other specimens, put them in a blender, centrifuge out their midichlorians and insert the midichlorians into Omega's blood.
The idea that the Emperor would give up any of his midichlorians for these tests seems ludicrous to me. They can extract them from other high m-count individuals leaving the Emperor's m-count intact.
Incredible Episode & Reaction Wave Squadron!
The last end scene music sounded akin to the Mandolorian.........
Unfortunately gotta try and edit 2 videos worth...so it'll probably be out later today.

Yooo let's go
Did you guys forget this week is a double episode drop 10 & 11 ???
FIRST I LOCE YOU GUYS
Shes is a night sister
Yeah I’m pretty certain that the commandos are essentially organic droids at this point, no humanity left in them, purely chip and following orders
Still so many people insisting the clone is a Crosshair clone or Cody (I even saw someone else claim it’s Fives, lmao) when the obvious answer is staring everyone in the face. Absolutely wild.
Nobody wants it to be tech though. I’d rather tech be dead than them pull this story with him.
0:41 ... 😂
ih
Very dark episode.
I have not watched this episode, but I HAVE seen 3-4 breakdowns/easter egg videos. You cut so f'ing much that I can't follow the story. This is far from the first time. 😕 I'm dropping my subscription. It's just too annoying.
The point of reaction videos are well, the reactions. And seeing what other people think of stuff you’ve already seen. Also you really shouldn’t be surprised with the amount of cutting with youtube’s strict copyright rules. They can’t just show you the whole episode for free.
so this is a kids show, huh?
We should all cancel our Disney Plus accounts. I love Star Wars, but after this episode, not sure I can support it anymore.
