I just made one Tuesday morning. It's my mom's favorite. We use a straw to make the holes. We've always just called it Jello cake.

In the late 60s and early 70s we did the same thing but in a pie. Back then we had cool whip in a box. We would whip it then we added a can of fruit cocktail drained. That was what we put on top. It was Ritz cracker pie.

That’s a great idea for a course! One subject that may be helpful is MEASUREMENTS AND EQUIVALENTS

Vicki I had misplaced my recipe for Taco salad for many years and just couldn’t remember what all went into making it. I checked it out on-line but those recipes were not the same as mine. Thank you as you filled my need for a good recipe that I have been craving for. Yum! Oh and thank you for the great tip. It works great.

In my opinion prepping is most important in cooking...especially for working folks. When you have time, chop onion, green pepper and freeze it....also dishes that call for cooked bacon, cook it ahead, crumble it and freeze it. When I find whole chickens on sale, I go ahead and cook them and bag them in 1 - 2 cup portions.....(chopped or shredded).....saves alot of time!!

Cooking ideas are a wonderful idea for so many young people to learn making meals preparation for ahead of time they can learn how to read a recipe learn how to use a crockpot for dump and go recipes young people could learn a lot about cooking with this channel I lost my mom at a very young age and I wish I had some body to teach me how to be a better cook I had to learn how to do it all my self I think its a wonderful idea what you are doing for people who would love to learn

When we made this cake we used the end of a wooden spoon to poke the holes.

Additional comment: A cute name for your new pony would be Ritz cracker. A course for newlyweds would've helped me 50 years ago, but I am always up for something new, too. I only recently learned how to make a from scratch biscuit that's not hard as a hockey puck. Patera on Appalachian Homestead showed how to make a 2 ingredient biscuit using self rising flour and whipping cream (NOT whipped). I even can do them in the air fryer now!! My husband asks for biscuits all the time now. I can't wait to try this dessert! Thank you!

Now if I had tried to do that without using another bowl for the yolks, I'd have probably had at least yolk bust!
