Get an old credit card cut 2cm wide strip off and just push that in (in the middle) all the way then pull the battery towards you, Easier to source than that long metal strip and works in seconds. Figured this out from watching this video. It's so easy and quick it's unbelievable.

Hi retro man, I have one of these, the vengeance motor is knackered,I am fitting a Bafang 500w motor on my recumbent ice trike Can I use this 36 v battery as a spare, or join it to the one I have, that came from a Tongsheng tds 250w motor ?

Thanks for the video when you have the battery taken out and bring it with you should you cover up the bikes battery connector so that if it rains it won’t short the motor? Have you any suggestions what you can use to cover it? Great video and I know it’s only a video you made if you’ve lost your keys so don’t worry what other people say here.

Hi I never use my bike for 3 months and the battery is not charging any idea what can I do when I plug it to the plug it shows me red light on the charger but soon it turns in the blue light the light on the battery flashes blue any shows it is fully charged but it is not
Hi vency, since you didn’t charge for 3 months the battery may be in a sleep state, you will need it sending off with Halfords so they can have it checked Most likely new battery will be needed dude
Don’t leave your battery with bike or better still don’t leave the bike in public because if it’s wanted it will go no matter what you lock it up with simples. Also The video responses are mostly positive so jog on
Of course its illegal but keys are easily lost and replacement keys from Halfords or other website are not reliable........plus you need to know the specific code to replace the keys.

Saved my bacon, thanks! i used a stiff flat knife but had to give it a couple of taps with a small hammer to make it engage the bolt.

You could try eBay for the lock and key. Or try Halfords they may be able to order one tho unlikely

Hi thanks for the comment, I’ve seen people use waterproof saddle covers to wrap around the unit, hope that helps 👍
