How to transport a charger in your NIU NQi GTS E-Scooter

First of all: No, the 3.5 kg original charger with air cooling definitely does not fit anywhere in your NIU NQi GTS or NQi GT (NGT). If you still want to carry a charger without stowing it in a top box or backpack, you can switch to a secondary charger of the NQi Sport. Due to the smaller dimensions (at 1.9 kg weight), it fits under the battery in the compartment under the seat. Of course, the whole thing only makes sense if you don't mind the additional investment and the roughly doubled charging time. So probably preferably if you wanted to buy a second charger anyway. Theoretically, you could even charge your NIU scooter with the charger under the battery with the seat closed. However, we strongly advise against this, especially in warmer seasons, because the 4-amp charger has no air cooling and therefore becomes very warm!

Grundsätzlich gut! Sogar günstiger 👍🏼. Wie lange dauert das Laden von 50% zu voll länger? Geht es den Akkus ggfls sogar besser mit dem langsameren laden?

Hey Ben. Es dauert einfach doppelt so lange wie mit dem originalen Schnellladegerät. Also von 50 auf 100% etwas 6 Stunden statt 3 (grob geschätzt). Den Akkupacks ist der tiefere Ladestrom vermutlich egal. NIU hat sowieso (aus unserer Sicht) überall Reserven eingebaut im Interesse der Akku-Langlebigkeit.

Kann man der bei der NIU NQI unter dem Sitz einen zweiten Akku anschließen oder kann man nur den Akku im Fussbereich nutzen? Grüße Jeannette

Du meinst unter dem Sitz eines NQi Sport. Die anderen haben ja bereits einen zweiten, der angeschlossen ist. Nein, kannst du nicht. Du kannst ihn nur austauschen, wenn der andere leer ist. Theoretisch wäre es möglich, das technisch hinzukriegen. Mit viel Aufwand.

Yes, of course the backback is the first choice. But: What makes you think that the warranty should become void if an original NIU charger is used? The small charger is the one from the NQi Sport.

Gracias por tus consejos. Sin embargo, si lees el texto, dice que el cargador sólo puede transportarse debajo de la batería. Se desaconseja encarecidamente cargar con el cargador debajo de la batería porque el cargador se calienta demasiado. Y no: los conectores del cargador NQi Sport son los mismos que los del NQi GT o GTS.

@@mobilize-switzerland bueno tambiern de pende de la bateria, si es NIU es diferente ala panasonic original,,, y el tecnico me desaconceja guardar el cargador en el baul con la batreria,, al parecer estas en otro pais, y hay cosas q cambian en las motos
