The four-part documentary shot over the course of two years includes several conversations with the Russian president. Everyone should. This is one of the things South Asian countries lack
It's a political tactic. Waiting for the translator give him extra time to think what to say.
as a president, it would be faux pas of him to speak in a different language. He represents Russia. He speaks For the Russian people and To the Russian people.
A downside though is he's leaving it up to the translator to carry across the meaning of his words properly. It's easier to make him look worse to the general English speaking public that way.

+Kilyan I think what he's roughly saying is that "those who are destined for greatness will not die by freak accident, they will die at the height of things, or peacefully in their bed".
For me it means that god decides your faith and if god decide that you die naturally then you will die the way god wanted
