Arcade Club - A quick tour of the UK's largest retro arcade

- As a big fan of the old retro arcade machines, I recently paid my 3rd visit to the UK's largest retro arcade. Situated in Bury (just north of Manchester), Arcade Club is bursting with nostalgia set over 3 whole floors of gaming. Machines range from the late 70's to present day, so if you love retro gaming, or even modern gaming, then this is the place for you.
I am not associated with Arcade Club in any way, this video is just to show any gamer what a great place this is to visit

@@cobraeditz9454 Bury, it was brilliant. My only qualm is that on all other floors apart from the top floor... The accoustics are way off, and all the machines are drowning eachother out. It's especially annoying with any rhythm games and the floor that they are all on, is the worst offender by far. We had a few girls with us, they really liked that floor, but it was just impossible to hear anything at all so they gave up and it kinda ruined their day.
Complete waste of time having those games there, if you ask me. They have far too many that are far too close together, it's pretty stupid because it's such a waste. I think they put the pinball on that floor too so don't expect to enjoy playing on them too much!!! Other than that, the place is amazing. Even the food and drinks are really nice, pizza was amazing for the price. I recommend getting on the 4 player OutRun 2 with your mates 👍👍👍
what a place ! I dont even think Japan could match up to this amount of variety and scale

awesome.. just saw 1 of these M.I. Machines on the Brighton Pier last week
One thing I noticed as well was the sit down Pole Position, one of my all time wanted cabinets.... as well as the Deluxe Outrun!! :D
Pole Position yes, and the deluxe OutRun is one I make a beeline for every time I go there. Remember seeing it for the first time in 1986, was awesome
@@RetroRicc I used to play them every time I went to Skegness. I remember one machine that's not common, a sit down Wec Le Mans that you climbed into and it spun round and round, it was awesome. Oh and Top Speed where it moved around all over the place and I managed to complete that on my 2nd go! Can't do it now though using the emulator lol. Talking of which, I've done a book all about emulation if you're interested?

Hell yes, a great game I love games with unique controls. May do a video soon although obviously I don’t have the handlebar controller
@@RetroRicc I've got my own arcade machine, a Centi one like they had a row of with the white and red lines on the front with my PC in it and I've just bought a USB to VGA to see if I can use one of my spare monitors as the Marquee as I already have my own in it at the moment but wanted one that changed with each game

i live a minute away from there! also going on a school trip there, and i thought school was bad...
They will be doing a 24 hour event on April 28th 2022 for Cancer Research.

I'm surprised no one is wearing a mask. In the US, at least half of the people would be.
Earlier in the day quite a few people wore masks. Everyone was being sensible, ie, no big crowds in one place or around machines
@ScreenHax My brother died of covid, and I have an unvaccinated toddler, so I wear masks everywhere indoors in public.
So sorry to hear about your brother, that is awful. I don’t blame you for wearing masks and being extra protective, it hasn’t gone away yet 😢
