Absolute master class by Lin Shidong. Chess game of a match. There's not much that Lebrun cannot attack hard. But time and time again Lin put the ball softly where Lebrun didn't have a good shot to play or had an awkward position. This kind of mastery is to be admired more than blasting the ball spectacularly. I am in awe. Need to watch this match time and time again. So much going on.
It's actually a normal sub-par performance by Lin. I feel that Lin hasn't really peaked and is actually beatable when he's truly on an unlucky day. But once Lin perfected some of his forehands and positioning, he's gonna be Ma Long Calibre.
@@ZoiusGM just watch the soft ball from Lin when he is close to the table near the beginning of the point, where he places it, and you can wonder why Lebrun doesn't attempt to attack it, or has to attack it weakly without a stable base or gamble with low percentage. It's genius. I'm saying the less forceful balls are a strong point of Lin Shidong's play.
@@gongtaumaster-h9t the key to consistent performance is to win even when you are not landing everything. Everyone knows a player who is difficult to beat at the local club because they do well even when they aren't landing the tough ones.
Congrats to Lin, Shidong🎉 I personally think that if Shidong could play to his strengths, which is to try to beat his opponent(s) within the first 3-4 shots, it’s possible for him to make less mistakes. That’s definitely not easy, but you can do it, Shidong!!
Alexis played amazingly for one set and a half then Shidong teared him apart. He's the best player in the world right now, without a doubt. So consistent, so much variation in serves, receives, placements...
With plenty of doubt. If Fan Zhendong or Wang Chuqin recovers form, it will be an open battle again. It's actually really nice that we've got this kind of open battle between the top Chinese battles; and some non-Chinese players like Franziska, Harimoto, LYJ, Alexis (not Felix) can disturb them at times.
@@leboucfou5834 The bit of truth here is that there are good reasons (potential for improvement, potential of the grip and style, winning the European championship, stats against Chinese) there are very fair reasons to consider Alexis to be much more of a threat than his brother.

Why can't a rally be shown from a single perspective? Ball in hand, play, scoring a point - that's a rally. The video editing is clumsy, and the video editor is unskilled.👎👎👎👎👎

Mymy... Despite the formidable play that LSD shows in the last couple of months, i'm starting to dislike him more and more... weaving his hand each and every of Alexis serves, combined with his shouting... that's so ridiculously annoying and you can clearly see, how it pisses off and disturbes the serve phase of each opponent. I hope he will undergo a significant change regarding this habit. Comes pretty close to the oversized screaming that Harimoto did for years.
Clearly, you're disliking LSD skin color. You've no problem with Truls, Lebrons' brother shouting and insulting against Chinese players. All racists should stop watching this game. It's polluting the clean game absolutely. Stop making banana chants and horns too.
Racists have found new and roundabout ways to express their dissatisfaction, when the truth is they can't stand a people of color in a dominating position.

As vezes acho que shidong sempre deixa o adversário levar o primeiro game pra ter mais graça.🤔🤷🏻♂️😛
Sometimes I suspect that is the case for all Chinese players. It could also be that he is trying to get a feel for the opponent first.
Why the yellow card for Shidong?
Is that Adam casting?
