It’s always difficult to remain the same level of capacity and package after Olympics. It’s not uncommon and no difference to all players. Not to mention wcq was and should be a bit traumatized by his Olympics drama. It’s great to see him put himself back together bit by bit.
@@ZoiusGM His main racket was destroyed by cameraman after mixed doubles final, one day before his singles match with Truls. He failed in his singles match, everyone knows. But he managed to pull himself back in team match with his backup racket. I called it drama because no one expected this would happen in the most important sports competition in the planet. But yes, anything could happen though theoretically.
The truls vs wcq rematch will probably be great to watch Edit: while wcq hasn't done too well in past tournaments, I still hope he can do better than his last few performances
@@Fyawtfc if you did watch him since before he threw his paddle and got suspended by the national team, you know he did so bad in the past 2 tournaments...just saying
People were confused when I mentioned that if WCQ wins the first game, it's over. They don't understand that WCQ is a microwave player and is still struggling to get used to competitive conditions in Frankfurt. I would not bet against Wang in Fukuoka. I would not bet against Wang against Truls. If WCQ gets the first game against Truls, I'll say that again. It's over.
Next match will determine the rest of his career. If he loses again against Truls he is done as a top 10 table tennis player and won't come back. If he wins he might have a chance to get the psychological confidence back and return to top 5 world player skills again. In theory he is a much better and skilled player then Truls but Chuqin has not got his confidence back since the olympic defeat.
@@SuperShadowmetal Maybe it's because of player styles, in this match, neither player stepped back from the table much, so all points are short, what seemed like a lot of mistake might be due the difficulty of countering the attack without stepping back from the table.
Congrats to Wang, Chuqin🎉 Fortunately, Chuqin was fully committed to this match on the 4th round and played well. For all Chinese table tennis players participating in WTT Fukuoka 2024, please take it seriously, because as professional athletes, it is your job to compete, isn’t it? Same as everyone else who goes to their jobs everyday, but one of the differences is that your daily training is covered by the General Administration of Sport of China = national tax revenue & certain sponsors. However, if ordinary Chinese people needed professional training, they must pay for it out of their own pockets. So, please try to focus on each of your competition and don't slack off. Otherwise you will be insulting yourselves. Thanks
You can already tell guys like LGY, LJK have been slacking off like every WTT is a vacation trip. These are the same guys who are leading younger guys like Xiang Peng and Xue Fei. Godness. LSD is probably the only exception there as his brain is born for table tennis.
@@dongiovanni8899 Thanks for letting me know. I did a quick search online. Taking 2024 as an example, the financial allocation of the State Sports General Administration of China was 3.97 billion yuan‼️ Since table tennis is a national sport for China, it is impossible not to allocate funds to it, right? Unfortunately, I did not find the exact amount of funding that the National Table Tennis Team received for 2024, but it should be more than the sponsorship fee, which was almost double according to 2017 data. As for the sponsor's money, 50% of it will be handed over to the National Table Tennis Team and the remaining part will be distributed to local table tennis teams and associations, as well as to coaches and athletes. Therefore, all National Table Tennis Team members have duty to take it seriously and perform well in various competitions. After all, participating in tournaments is their only job to do. If ordinary people who don’t do well or deliver good outcomes for their jobs, would they be fired right away?

Wcq is in big trouble like how xx had it, for a period of time both s backhand was good that’s when they hit number 1 then both s backhand became a lot worse and xx never made it to play Olympic single. Wcq has the same problem. He can’t beat lsd for sure, his prime is past
@@Fyawtfc my two cents is it's a stretch to call his RPB good even at that time period. He could make powerful RPB play off the table, but the biggest problem is it's highly unstable and he was not able to use it consistently.
Wang Chuqin is back to best!!👏👏 Franz played good, but was overcome tactically! Great match!

@eindoggy5681 yeah his career was on line for sure. He did what he had to do. Now he just has to beat LSD in the final.
Even though he won this, WCQ isn't his old self. A lot of mistakes from both side in this game.
