While taking the Assessment test is it allowable to research/check your answers to make sure you are selecting the right multiple choice answer? For example the first question is multiple choice. Am I allowed to check it by Googling certain terms I'm not familiar with? Thanks and God bless...

Thank you so much for making this video. I actually completed my starter assessment last week, but for some reason when I clicked submit, it just took me back to the original landing page, and it did not confirm whether my assessment had been submitted at all. Given that the website advises not to retake the assessment, I instead contacted the Data Annotation Tech support team asking if the assessment had actually been submitted and have received no response. Have you experienced this or do you know of anyone else who has? It’s so confusing not knowing what’s actually happened with my application.
I haven’t experienced it but have seen other people on Reddit who have, I would wait for a week or two before retaking the assessment. Also the support isn’t great so don’t hold your breath for a response from them.

Thank you for this and your other videos! So many TH-camrs mention work from home jobs without actually signing up or trying to make money. The money a company says you can make versus what you can actually make is often very different so its good to get info on that in advance so you can make an informed decision about your time.

When I applied, it did have spell check enabled, in the sense that a red dotted line would appear underneath a misspelled word, however this was some months ago so it may have changed now.

I finished the starter assessment and instead of giving me qualifying assignments, it says I've already taken them and they're reviewing my results. Is this a glitch? I can't find any support or contact information to ask someone at the company.

Different links for sign up result in different starter assessments, with one being coding based and the other being more like the one I showed in this video, I’ll be releasing a video this week going into more detail on this.
So, when I choose "get started" and in put all of my info correctly, and click "create account" at the bottom of the sign up page, it just refreshes and keeps asking me for password and password confirmation over and over again. Will not let me get past the sign up page....
I haven’t heard of this happening before, possibly try it on a different browser type, E.G google chrome instead of internet explorer, or try completing it on wifi or using mobile data, and see if that helps.
I signed up but the only assessment I've been given is the one for coding, which I am not proficient in yet and would rather hold off on that. I've read that there are other assessments like "Core" but I can't find them anywhere. At the bottom of the coding assessment there is a "skip" button and when I click it the page refreshes and I'm back to the coding assessment. How the HELL do I get to the core assessment?

I recently signed up and when I went to do Assessments today, I was presented with the coding one ONLY. I had no problem with that since I am a coder and would like to do coding work with them anyway. So I took my time and completed the coding Assessment. But from what I understand, there were supposed to be some initial non coding Assessments as well. I did not get them. I am wondering what that could mean for me? I believe this is grouped with highest of level of education, so if you have a degree, then for the area of study you would say what the topic of your degree was, for example biology.

I’ve seen comments from people previously who’ve had the qualification tests show up a few days later. So, I’d advise waiting and hopefully in the next few days / weeks, you might see something.

No problem and good luck! I’d recommend you apply directly on the site, as shown in this vid, and not on a job board site like indeed as there can be scammers on those sites.

Yes they are still hiring from the USA, maybe you made an error in the starter assessment that caused it to be an auto fail, however it may also be a glitch. You could try emailing the sites support to see if they can help you.

Recently interviewed for a Data Labeling position (text based). They’re willing to train because of the nature of the project they’re working on requiring a specific set of skills. Will require me to learn JSON, develop structured Q&A content for AI training, and test and iterate on chatbot responses to ensure accuracy and relevance. The labeling will be used in developing a specialized chatbot. Curious if this sort of position is a good entry point for the AI field for someone with no experience

I did the starter assessment but got no offer of further assessments, just "Thanks for taking the assessment! If we have need of your particular skills, or we have additional assessments for you to identify further skills, you’ll be notified via email. Otherwise we thank you for your time." - would this suggest I've been auto rejected already?
I can’t say for certain, but if it’s been more than a couple of weeks and they still haven’t shown up, I would assume you have been rejected, unfortunately.
If you are registering from a country that the site is currently accepting workers from, then I would recommend you contact support as it sounds like a glitch.

@@muzina618 they just paid out my 2nd assessment yesterday. I have a screen that says my results will be reviewed and I’ll get an email if I pass. They reviewed the assessments quickly. Both were done in 48 hours after finishing.
@@muzina618 yes I was approved and started doing work a few days after my assessments were paid out. So far, I like it and I always have tons of work showing that I can choose from.
Just a heads up, I just took the assessment a few days ago, and some of the questions for me were different. For example, I did not get an audio question. I also didn’t get a book comparison question, but they ask me if a certain book would be a good recommendation for a person in a certain scenario. In my particular example, the prompt didn’t actually include the book (prompt error?), so what I did was include a book suggestion and explained why in place of this. So, from what I take from this, they may provide varying assessments for everyone. But overall, it was a similar layout! These were all great tips!

I went to view this assesment on three different browsers (Brave, microsoft edge and chrome) and I cant see the media post (hateful or not question), or the poem question. really annoying. Has anyone else had this issue?
That is frustrating, are the questions definitely there and it’s not just that you’ve been assigned different questions, as in is it just the image that isn’t working but you can still see the question? The only thing I can think of trying is using a different wifi and see if that resolves it, maybe try using your phones 4G and see if that works.
Did anyone else go straight through to the coding assessment? I can’t code and this is not the assessment I got that’s in the video. It was asking me to pick the correct code and explain my answer.

But then it said my email address was already in use even though I’d deleted the account. So I tried to login with the initial login but it said user doesn’t exist. As far as I am aware, the two initial qualifications shown after the starter assessment are paid, but after them there will be other qualifications available to complete and I don’t think all of them pay

I did the assessment today. It was nothing to do with these questions. They were all only to do with coding, like "Which code is the most efficient from the examples shown" or writing code to achieve certain tasks. It appears that, if you cant code, you will not pass this test
If you sign up through the DAT website, rather than through a link in an ad, you should still be able to get a non coding starter assessment. I have seen messages of someone who successfully did this three days ago so it should work.
Do you think the actual answer given matters for the hateful content question, or is it more how you argue your position? It seems such a subjective question, wondering which way to go with it
Some of the questions are actually politically loaded, for example I got a question with a Twitter post about someone condemning Trump and clearly being politically one-sided, it was very hard not to take a definitive side on the question and to answer it correctly you must have had a (Democratic) political view, or it would have been wrong
@@louish2037 that's not true, I answered that question by justifying my reasoning for why the condemnation of Trump was hateful and I passed the assessment. They aren't choosing or marking it wrong based on whether you argue from the Democratic or Republican POV
If you are not from a country in the list, you can still sign up and potentially take the starter assessment, and the site will email you if they begin hiring from your country.

I completed the starter Assessment last week and the status in the Transfer Funds tab is “Transferrable” with a yellow clock beside it! Does this mean I passed the Starter Assessment and they are waiting to give me projects? Very confused.
WTF? I didn't get slowball questions like that. It asked me to create decoding functions from a huge list of number and words in a txt file. The only easy question in the assessment was a question that asked which answer is more ethical. Great.

Also, I’ve read about someone getting an account by tricking the site into thinking they were in a different country than they were, and after a while their account got locked and they couldn’t withdraw the remaining money that was in the account. My starter assessment was software engineering based? How come it is so different for everyone else? It contained some really complex logical/programming problems (which is my area of expertise) but I’m a bit confused as to why mine was so different from everyone else’s. Are you sure that was for your starter assessment and not one of the qualifications after? I haven’t heard of anyone having a starter assessment like that before.
@@WormsWorld23 Yeah it was definitely for the starter assessment. I think perhaps they have a scheme for improving the AIs written ability and a separate one for coding ability. Strange though that I wasn’t given an option and just targeted for the coding one

Yes you should be googling when doing the assessment, just don’t use chat GPT or another AI to write your answers for you.

When I applied I did not give them my LinkedIn account name, so I’d think you should still be fine without one.

I didn't get paid for the second assessment. No dollars accrued. What does this mean? Still haven't heard if they will approve me to do projects...
So, when I choose "get started" and in put all of my info correctly, and click "create account" at the bottom of the sign up page, it just refreshes and keeps asking me for password and password confirmation over and over again. Will not let me get past the sign up page....
I haven’t heard of this happening before, possibly try it on a different browser type, E.G google chrome instead of internet explorer, or try completing it on wifi or using mobile data, and see if that helps.
I signed up but the only assessment I've been given is the one for coding, which I am not proficient in yet and would rather hold off on that. I've read that there are other assessments like "Core" but I can't find them anywhere. I recently signed up and when I went to do Assessments today, I was presented with the coding one ONLY. I had no problem with that since I am a coder and would like to do coding work with them anyway. So I took my time and completed the coding Assessment.
But from what I understand, there were supposed to be some initial non coding Assessments as well. I did not get them. I am wondering what that could mean for me? Should I try to contact them about it? Thanks for any response here.
The different starter assessments seem to vary based on which link is used to sign up to the site, I wouldn’t worry about it and good luck!

I believe this is grouped with highest of level of education, so if you have a degree, then for the area of study you would say what the topic of your degree was, for example biology.

I’ve seen comments from people previously who’ve had the qualification tests show up a few days later. So, I’d advise waiting and hopefully in the next few days / weeks, you might see something.

Yes they are still hiring from the USA, maybe you made an error in the starter assessment that caused it to be an auto fail, however it may also be a glitch. You could try emailing the sites support to see if they can help you.

The audio clip link is contained within the assessment, have you verified both your email and phone number you provided with them? Are you in one of the 6 countries they are currently accepting workers from? If yes to both, then possibly try contacting support but I’m unsure if they will respond.

Recently interviewed for a Data Labeling position (text based). They’re willing to train because of the nature of the project they’re working on requiring a specific set of skills. Will require me to learn JSON, develop structured Q&A content for AI training, and test and iterate on chatbot responses to ensure accuracy and relevance. The labeling will be used in developing a specialized chatbot.
Curious if this sort of position is a good entry point for the AI field for someone with no experience

@@muzina618 they just paid out my 2nd assessment yesterday. I have a screen that says my results will be reviewed and I’ll get an email if I pass. They reviewed the assessments quickly. Both were done in 48 hours after finishing.
@@muzina618 yes I was approved and started doing work a few days after my assessments were paid out. So far, I like it and I always have tons of work showing that I can choose from.
Just a heads up, I just took the assessment a few days ago, and some of the questions for me were different.
For example, I did not get an audio question.
I also didn’t get a book comparison question, but they ask me if a certain book would be a good recommendation for a person in a certain scenario.
In my particular example, the prompt didn’t actually include the book (prompt error?), so what I did was include a book suggestion and explained why in place of this.
So, from what I take from this, they may provide varying assessments for everyone. But overall, it was a similar layout!

I went to view this assesment on three different browsers (Brave, microsoft edge and chrome) and I cant see the media post (hateful or not question), or the poem question. really annoying. Has anyone else had this issue?
That is frustrating, are the questions definitely there and it’s not just that you’ve been assigned different questions, as in is it just the image that isn’t working but you can still see the question? The only thing I can think of trying is using a different wifi and see if that resolves it, maybe try using your phones 4G and see if that works.
Did anyone else go straight through to the coding assessment? I can’t code and this is not the assessment I got that’s in the video. It was asking me to pick the correct code and explain my answer.

But then it said my email address was already in use even though I’d deleted the account. So I tried to login with the initial login but it said user doesn’t exist. As far as I am aware, the two initial qualifications shown after the starter assessment are paid, but after them there will be other qualifications available to complete and I don’t think all of them pay

I did the assessment today. It was nothing to do with these questions. They were all only to do with coding, like "Which code is the most efficient from the examples shown" or writing code to achieve certain tasks. It appears that, if you cant code, you will not pass this test
If you sign up through the DAT website, rather than through a link in an ad, you should still be able to get a non coding starter assessment. I have seen messages of someone who successfully did this three days ago so it should work.

As long as you can justify your position with valid reasons, I think you should be okay.

Some of the questions are actually politically loaded, for example I got a question with a Twitter post about someone condemning Trump and clearly being politically one-sided, it was very hard not to take a definitive side on the question and to answer it correctly you must have had a (Democratic) political view, or it would have been wrong
@@louish2037 that's not true, I answered that question by justifying my reasoning for why the condemnation of Trump was hateful and I passed the assessment. They aren't choosing or marking it wrong based on whether you argue from the Democratic or Republican POV

WTF? I didn't get slowball questions like that. It asked me to create decoding functions from a huge list of number and words in a txt file. The only easy question in the assessment was a question that asked which answer is more ethical. Great.

Also, I’ve read about someone getting an account by tricking the site into thinking they were in a different country than they were, and after a while their account got locked and they couldn’t withdraw the remaining money that was in the account. My starter assessment was software engineering based? How come it is so different for everyone else? It contained some really complex logical/programming problems (which is my area of expertise) but I’m a bit confused as to why mine was so different from everyone else’s. Are you sure that was for your starter assessment and not one of the qualifications after? I haven’t heard of anyone having a starter assessment like that before.
