- So, this is my ultimate Red vs. Blue tribute for the end of an era. It was originally made as a single-song sad moments tribute, then I just kept adding to it. It became a Road to Restoration Tribute called “It’s just a stupid web-series”. And then a tribute to release at the same time as Restoration called “It’s just a stupid machinima”, which is what it is now.
I couldn’t get every scene I wanted, but I think I got most of the most emotional ones, at least for me.
This was intended to release right alongside Restoration. My "The Road to Restoration is Over" video has more details in its description.

This is probably the video I put the most effort into. More detail in the description, but long story short, I've been working on this on and off for around eight months, if I remember correctly. It was meant to be the most emotional scenes in Red vs. Blue I could turn into a music video. I hope you enjoy!
Also, it sadly originally uploaded in 360 due to processing speed (4K later though). But um. This is a clear reference to the original RvB episode's resolution, obviously.

Man, it feels weird that it's over. I started watching around season 6 with my older cousins. Now, I'm about to graduate High School and it feels like the end of an Era. I thank Red vs Blue for the years of entertainment and story-telling it gave to it's viewers. It truly was a work of art.
It really does feel like the end of an era, and I've only been watching it for a couple years lol. One of the best shows I've had the pleasure of seeing, like you said it really was art.
Same but it's just hard to let go regardlessly.
The freelancer chronicles is still my favorite, from the sheer power of Maine to Carolina's story i'd say it was nice-

They were the reason i playd halo, heck i watched the first season and so on during my childhood. Time did fly fast. When the shutdown was announced i thought it was some kind of false rumor being spread, now I'm just wishing that it all never had to end like this. Not ready to see them off yet.

As much as I hate doing this, it's time to say goodbye. With Restoration...I'm happy that they finally were able to say it too.
Indeed, I'm glad they had a chance to say make a final season where they knew they'd be saying goodbye.
Throughout our lives, we come across many stories. Some great, some a waste of our time.
Some stories have a lot of pasazzz to seem cool. Others you gotta gotta dig through to find the quality in it.
Red Vs Blue was a hidden gem. Anybody who knows nothing will just look at it and think it's one of those stories that's a waste of time.
But all of us here, we gave it a chance. And we had a hell of a journey.
See, Halo made Master Chief not talk much because they wanted us to feel like we were him. But Red Vs Blue, these characters.......they are us. We argue, we fight, we get on each other's nerves, we make stupid mistakes, we think we know what we're doing and just go with it.........and we get sad when we lose our friends. But we stay together and help each other. And I'm glad we all enjoyed this together.
It’s sad to see such a legacy go, but like a wise AI once said, “Memory is the key.” As long as we remember, it will never truly be gone.

It's been a long run...
I just finished season 19 an hour ago, it made me cry. I listened to the RvB theme for half an hour, cried too. Watched this, and well made me cry to. This is a very beautiful video. Goodybe Red vs Blue. Goodbye RoosterTeeth.

I went into RvB in an odd way. I discovered Season 2 first at Gamestop on dvd and got it just cause, then actually watched it in the correct order in time for season 3 and from there I was hooked. Sadly I'm one of those who technically dropped out before Freelancer, satisfied with Church and Tex getting trapped in the storage unit. I kept watching, but that's where it ended for me. And like many of us, it got unbearable to watch.
So I watched Restoration thinking I was biting the bullet just to have closure from the original creators and honestly while it was off in a few spots, it hit enough of right notes that made me glad I watched it.
Thank you for making this video, even though I preferred it as a comedy like it started, the drama half of the show was always fun to watch to.
Ah I got into it in an odd way too! I clicked on what I thought was a Halo video as I was trying to get into Halo, and it turned out to be a video about the rise and fall of RvB. And then I found the famous Tex vs Reds & Blues fight from Season 8, then went and found Season 1. And that was only 2 years ago on TH-cam. It's been one hell of a journey.
And I agree that while flawed, Restoration was a satisfying enough ending for this amazing show.
It’s crazy to think that this show is the same age as me, well 9 months older then me. But to think, 21 year of life on this planet. Just as long as this series has been alive for. If only I could enjoy it more then I already do.

It's so sad to let go of RVB after the years it has given me and the lessons I learned from roosterteeth from their studio full of talented people I will miss everything they have given us all.
Sad indeed. Saying goodbyes isn't easy. But, like Church said, sometimes we do have to let go. At least we'll have our memories!
It may be gone, it may be over, but let's relish in how satisfying it is, on that it was able to conclude.
With all that transpired, with all that occurred,
All that stood against the series,
The controversies, the heyday of machinima series long since past, the control by WB,
And the fact that with RT shutting down, that against all of that,
We still were able to get a conclusion to Red vs Blue.
A series that easily could have stopped at the Blood Gulch Chronicles, but managed to continue on until the very end.
In essence, we end where we began.
Why were we as an audience here?
Simple. To laugh. To enjoy. And to witness it all, the birth, life, death, and memory of not just a company, not just a series, but a community that now outlives what it originally was.
Just a couple of guys, getting drunk and making videos in Halo: Combat Evolved.

I glad it’s finally over
The finale of this series had me crying nonstop.. I can't express the amount of emotion this little youtube series has pulled out of me. The end credits scene of tucker saying it's over... I couldn't contain the overwhelming sea of memories and tears. I was honestly expecting Vic to give us one last goodbye speech, telling us that we are the ones left to continue the series again like in season 14. But the short and simple end? That stung much harder than I could've imagined.

started watching the series on 2006, 12 years old me was amazed by this series, took the time to watch from the start cause at that point it wasnt a too long affair to do so, i constantly watched the series till the end of the Chorus Trilogy, after that, i kinda left it, i had lost a bit of interest by that point, but still took the time to watch the following seasons..... im 29 years old now, going near 30, and the fact this ended here, its crazy, i honestly tough that as long has Halo keep going, RvB would too, but everything has to end eventually, and this ending, it was the bittersweet kind. but im glad it was part of my life, im glad that i knew of, and watched RvB, with all its ups and downs,, it was a great show. im leaving it here before i start cutting onions, and make a damm novel out of a comment!.

I watched red vs blue from start to end and I’ll then a lot more then anything in my life as it helped me laugh, cry, smile they did so much for so many people young and old to those who remember salute to a serious to a group that made us smile.
It really did mean a lot to so many people. I hope people continue to remember it for a long time
RvB is one of the best shows of all time my favorite ever. Can watch it over and over and still feel the same about it. Gonna miss it glad we got restoration even tho it wasn’t the best it was a lot better than nothing and it was awesome to get burnie and Matt back in charge one last time. Yeah I think it's my all-time favorite show. I wish I got into it in it's prime, I only found it in like 2022. But boy am I glad I did!

Late reply, but thank you! Yeah ironically I discovered it from a video on the downfall of Red vs Blue, since I was trying to get into the Halo games and thought that video was about them. But I kept watching then went and found the Tex vs Reds and Blues fight from Season 8 that it talked about, then went to Season 1 Complete. I already had some stuff spoiled due to the video like the end of Season 13, but I was still drawn right in. Possibly my favorite show now!
This show has been around as long as I've been alive and now to see it depart is sad as hell help I loved it so much I was inspired by project freelancer Marty's animation the writing Burnie's comedy its all apart of me now and now i dont know whats next.
Yeah, it’s older than I am and has given me so much too. I too am not sure what’s next, but I know I’ll keep rewatching RvB fondly for years to come!

I started watching in 2009. After i played halo 3 for the first time. I got caught up as fast as i could. I watched the end of season 13 and nearly cried. I left after 17. I never watched zero or whatever they called it. Im hate to see it go. But. Im glad rvb got a goodbye. After the last few years at rt i was worried that wasnt gonna happen. Shame rwby may not get the same treatment. But hey. I guess when it all came to the end. What really matter was why we were all here. For a bunch of idiots fighting a fake war in a box canyon. And ill take that. See ya round reds and blues. Maybe again in the far future when wb inevitably does the wring thing and reboots the series under a worse writer and cast. RvB today is over. But it will live on. Halo and RvB were so impactful they redfined popular culture. And while the reds, blues and freelancers are gone. There will be someone who tries to pick uo the torch. Maybe some other secret shady government operation set in a halo game that will reference the events of rvb. Who knows. If you read my rambling. Thank you. This end has been emotional for me. My entire life reveolved around halo and rvb until i graduated highschool. Now i work i have a life and this chapter finally closing reminds me im not some highschool kid anymore playing out our favorite scenes with our xbox friends. Im a adult with responsibilities. And so. Goodbye to RvB. Even if i think the cast would hate to say goodbye.

Out of the original cast from the first season, only 4 for sure survived to the end. Griff, Simmons, Tucker and Caboose, but then Griff left so there’s really only 3 ‘people’ left in blood gulch. I say ‘people’ as Lopez and Sheila might still be there.(although I don’t think either of them are from season 1 so they’re not part of the original cast, though I could be wrong as it’s been a while since I’ve seen it)😭😭

Lopez and Sheila were from season 1, although at the end of Restoration they were not present in Blood Gulch. They were left wherever the undisclosed bases were.

When I was 15, I was going through some crazy shit. It got so bad I considered “pressing delete” but this show made me laugh so much that I was lifted just enough to push on through. It was on Netflix at the time and had seasons 1-12. Never in my life did I rewatch a show half as much as I Re binged RVB. This show saved me and I’ll always b grateful for it. 🫶

@@Exitity thank you. I bought this bundle off the Xbox store. Seasons 1-14 in a big bundle. It’s usually around 100 but it was on sale and I got it for like 22. Then I bought restoration for 15.
