@@DongBags9319 Lol. When I was 14 I was headed back from Laredo Texas to San Antonio, about a 2 1/2 hour drive. I got a copy of Animal Farm there and read it on the drive. I remember thinking I’d spent months in that car. One of the most significant reading experiences in my life.
@@ChoiceEnvironments I was 13 when we had to read it for 8th grade English class, and I did actually see it as magical because I like to picture what I'm reading, like getting immersed.
To be fair, I'd have to imagine that Schumer wasn't super involved with the writing on Inside Amy Schumer. When someone's the star/host of a show like that, they actually have a ton of writers behind the scenes, so they can focus more on acting and running the show. So I would bet that some writer under her stole the MadTV bit - and since both shows were on Comedy Central, I wouldn't be surprised if the same writer just recycled their own bit - or maybe someone took it from a friend of theirs, and maybe even got permission for it. If it was on a different channel, that would be more sussy.
The Wiki page for Inside Amy Schumer lists like 12 writers, including Kyle Dunnigan, Kurt Metzger, Jessi Klein, and some other lesser-known people (also with Neal Brennan listed as a director).
However, to claim that you've never even "gotten inspiration" from someone for a joke, or a character, or just the general idea for a joke, is a blatant fuckin lie. *Everyone* gets inspiration from other shit. That's how creativity works, in most cases (edit: I said that right before Moist mentioned it himself).
Why are we bringing back her name into the limelight? I'd rather forget she ever existed. She hates men now but her exbf used to write all of her jokes, that's how she got famous because she went to the O&A show and act like one of the bros. I wish Patrice is still alive too can her out on her bs

I never thought she was funny, and it was known about her stealing jokes a long time ago. Saying that, the public DOES NOT OWN celebrities. Just because someone is famous doesn't give people the right to treat them like a prop or something, they are people. DO NOT do what that guy did with his camera.
The thing with Amy Schumer is that, to her, she achieves the reaction she sets out to deliver so no fucks given from her end.

Paula Poundstone was awful. Never understood how she got a name at all. Not as big a mystery as how Kevin Hart got famous at all, horribly unfunny, but there ya go.
Amy is a worst comedian than Schaub. Schaub might not be good but he atleast talks about things happening to him. Amy is not only unfunny but she makes other people’s jokes unfunny.

I always thought that she was playing a persona, the female version of Andrew dice clay. I think Matt Rife does that to some degree as well. But I didn’t care enough to look into it. I find her humor meh. Also Andrew dice clay would never make it today. I guess she just kinda bores me. There’s a clever way to take on a stereotypical persona for a joke and shes just not great at it.

Both movies aren't my favorites AT ALL. But I had to sit through "Bridesmaids"... and, granted I hardly remember anything. But I was bored most of the time. I think Kristen Wiig had like an arc. But I just generally don't like that Paul Feig humor....
