You actually look at the CPU usage here. As a power user myself who likes to have programs running while gaming, the Ryzen, seeing having a lower cpu usage, is more useful than the i5 here.
@@Rogue_throttle 5700x Is AM4, if you're building a new PC, I would recommend you to go with AM5, but if you have already an AM4 motherboard, 5700X is the way to go, it is an extremely good CPU, completely functional on 2024, it can even handle a RTX4090 on 1440p

I really like the r7 5700x deals as of today it cost $110 and b550 mobo cost $30 usd in my country. 🥰 I can build a cheap ryzen 7 build if it weren't my i5-12490f build since I was hoping on the 14th gen being good but it ain't.
because not all i5 12400F can touch 4.4Ghz. need a good quality mainboard. Apart from that, the power consumption is inefficient. 3.9Ghz/4Ghz is sweet spot for 12400F

Hard to decide. The 12400 is more power efficient but the 5700x is slightly faster.
5700x is 8 core and using far less total power for same frames! Means more longevity despite being slightly more demanding
