After the first few minutes I was thinking the station had been set up for multiplayer gaming and was worried some alien had found someone's long lost LAN party site.
If anyone remembers the story about a person who started a genocide war. They ended up being a highly extended life billboard warning of what humanity will do to you. This totally fits into that universe.
Still on purpose or as a dare there are people that would set the game to realistic. An criminals I'd like to experience justice. Yay, get to play God mode. Judge jury ruler of Hell.
I heard of a story or religion, not sure. In it you often meet God. Then are reincarnated one by one into every soul an time of person ever born or aborted. Then you'll ascend to sit beside an truly be made in his image.
Please tell me the project's name was Glados or that the stations were called 'cakes', cause the robot being named wheatley just begs for mor Portal references.
I think it's less that the very intelligent see solutions that the teacher doesn't and more just boredom. It's very easy for the very intelligent to give the answer that they know the other person wants, less easy for them to pay attention when they're bored.
Some people commit evil not because they want to, but because they feel they have to to survive. They feel remorse but have decided they have no choice in order to provide for themselves and their loved ones. Some feel they are trapped in a system where others are given the opportunity to choose good, but not them. So they see "doo-gooders" as blissfully ignorant spoiled brats while they are the ones living in the "real world". To make them experience being the victims of their behavior would not change their minds. Instead it would reinforce their mind view that the real world is a immoral and uncaring existence where only the playahs survive.

So a remote station run by a Quantum Computing personality core named Wheatley, put in place by an eccentric billionaire... okay where are the lemons?

@Darkinu2 ; Yeah I'm not sure ether. It's been about a year.
This story is very human.
Aliens find vr.
And that was funny, I'm stealing that.
Looking forward to what you can do with it.
O that poor alien saw movies and games form first person point of view. Vr minecraft is terrifying.
Poor guy was stuck going through the horror genre VR library.
While his coworker got to go through the pleasure VR library.
VR Project Zomboid, that's nightmare fuel.

The cake is a lie
Options for disaster was good point to mention. With us it'd be a sociopath. The saying about personalities that gravitate to positions of power.

Clearly, PotatOS needs a mention, too.

Damn I wish you did a shitty Stephen Merchant impression for the Wheatley character haha
