I so appreciate that you showed us the full cycle from seed to flower. Many videos get us started but we don't get to see the finished product. Thanks for taking the time to make a complete teaching video.
Just the video I was looking for. For a novice gardener and first time sweet pea grower, it was perfect. Very comprehensive and just the right amount of time. I will be following you for more. Thank you ever so much.
Thank you! I bought some plants yesterday and was feeling a bit unsure what to do with them...ie size of pot, snipping pods etc and this has helped enormously. 😊
I have just found you (thanks to the mysterious TH-cam fairies!) I checked out some of your other videos and found them useful, so I have subscribed. Helen sounds like she's from my neck of the woods! Cheers from Oz! 🦘
Thank you for sharing... I especially love the you shared the continually training and growing!!! some people just plant and move on which does not show if whatever worked, or the final outcome! I, like someone else who mentioned on here, would love to have the source for the cane supports. In US and I cannot find anything like them! and I do not like the plastic ones now sold... but I cannot find them anyway, anywhere.
Thank you! A very clear, concise and enjoyable video. Great sweet peas. This is my first year growing a packet from seed which came free with my birthday flowers. Thank you!
i have planted sweeet peas for the 1st time this year. im so excited to grow them this year! i was so worried about growing them with a young child as she will walk throiught the allotment/garden and eat freely. now she is older and we have a flower garden ill pop them in there and im much less worried about growing them.
Growing them for the first time! They started off with a bang but slowed down at about 6-7”. Not sure what I should do to get them to how even more? Have fed them with miracle grow.
Hey I am new to gardening and sweet peas are one of my favourite flowers! I plan on planting them in a pot as you have done, could you please tell me how big of a pot I need and how much percentage of compost to soil do I need to fill the pot with? 😄
Hello mine after transplantating them into big pot the grow good and when they reach about 1 meter they become weak day by day Any suggestions please ??
When it rains is it ok to keep then outside? I was thinking they might get over soaked but I'm just starting out and keep them in the small plastic/cardboard container. I've kept them inside and just open my blinds for Sun light, is that effective or do they need to stay outside and really feel the sun?
If you want to do the same job and recycle then use the cardboard rolls that the toilet paper is on. They also rot in the ground which saves disturbing the roots
@@DANEYMAReditor I live in the US, so I don't have access to Asda. What are the metal supports called? I can't find anything that looks like them, but I also don't have a name to search by!
I saw another video where the seeds were placed on top of wet paper towels in a dish overnight, then planted. I did that, and so far they are all growing well.

I agree! It’s frustrating not being able to see the whole process in one video. I appreciate you editing the video to post as one.

You have cleared all my queries regarding sweet peas plantation..thanks
I did a hard pruning with my peach tree and the branches will make good pea trellises plus a bonus of peach blossoms.
I really like that cane frame. I cant find it on your website.
I especially like that you gave dates and advised on hardening off. very helpful video.

So if i live in a hot climate..should i plant them in the shade

Excellent video thank you!
Where can I buy the cane plant supports in USA?
Where can I buy the root trainers?!?
where can i get those metal supports for canes?
Hello can you please help by telling me did you ever find where you can get those metal supports if so where thanks
I find that cutting a surface slice off the seed and soaking the seeds for a night helps with germination.
Plant on the inside of the wigwam and tie some Tring around the canes after planting, and you don't have to worry about tying in much.
Hi, when sowing from seeds.. after put the seeds in the compost (i did it outdoor directly), do we need to water it every day?
Adityo Ariwibowo I’ve had good success by sowing into damp compost and then hold off, do not water until germinated.
What do you call the metal form that holds the canned upright and in place for the sweet peas to climb up? Thank you for your help.

Asda sells them

Thank you :)
Thank you. Great editing!
Love this video !
I cant get mine to sprout?

I soak mine overnight in water before planting. You can also just nick the seeds before planting instead.
Lovely
I thought the flower will be a pea... i guess what you are saying is cut the flowers for more yield?
She’s inches away to being the Nigella Lawson of the gardening world.
👍❤️😊
Wait so why the “you don’t want the seed pods to start developing”?? Isn’t the whole point to get the sweet peas to develop so you can eat them?
CcchrissS sweet peas, the flowering annual, the pods are poisonous. These are different from the peas grown for food.
I grow them in the inside of a toilet roll,
boring.
Why be so rude?
