I think you're spot on about the solution to brainrot being more/better socialisation. It says a lot about how the kids must be feeling if their immediate reaction to not having their devices is to throw a tantrum, I can't imagine how overstimulated, and just stressful that level of screen time must be. Not to even get started on the reading comprehension!! I know a girl who just turned 18 who (ironically) wants to become an author, who can't read, just straight up. She uses TTS on all her messaging apps, barely knows basic grammar rules, and struggles to read even simple meme posts if the text isn't transcribed for her TTS. It's some genuinely wild shit to see in real life, and she isn't really worried about it because of how common it is in her year level.
Yeah Its the fact that the content is being unregulated by the parents and not being observed or monitored Almost like the ipads are raising these kiddos :(
I remember when we were kids we would pretend to be cartoon characters for example, but the skibidi toilet looks like their being possessed, it’s like a different level of brainrot fr
I love your style, art, and commentary. Definitely following ya. And yea. My lil cousin was raised on an IPad with Elsagate... so im a lil worried about how hes doing now..
I can't be the only one who despised skibidi toilet and other forms of brainrot from the moment it infected the platform not particularly for what it was or its quality (though that's still a major factor as to why I hate it so much) but because if what it's doing to the younger generations of kids who are gonna watch this as religiously as we watched 2010's Nickelodeon, Disney Channel and Cartoon Network. And yeah, we weren't much better at that age, but it's gotten to a point where it's just concerning to look at and think that this is what the future generation looks like. TLDR; brainrot is the death of the kids of the future. Thanks a lot, Millenials.
My Step daughter doesn't understand why I have a problem with her watching some of this as an 8 year old, I had no say in her getting a smart phone, so I'm just waiting for the spiral 😵💫
@@yourscenebean No! By no means! I was really worried when my partner got her daughter a smart phone, but the worst she watches is things like SSSniperwolf and Lankeybox, which, I'm not a huge fan of her watching. I think you brought up a multitude of great points in your video! I've been really worried that she's gonna end up like this with how much she's in her phone sometimes. I try my best to motivate her to do more than just that.... Doesn't really work 75% of the time lol
Maybe show her this video to teach her about the importance of internet awareness and moderation. Ive found videos like this that include comedy abd are entertaining are great ways to help educate kids
@@yourscenebean I might try! Cause she thinks 90% of even the funny stuff we watch, is stupid and boring and I contribute that to kids content online tbh
@@stevlikesbeef7319 I know a lovely 6 year old, but I guess his parents set healthy boundaries for things and check what content he watches. They also spend time as a family, eating together and doing activities outside. I'm alarmed if teachers say that certain important lifeskills like reading aren't up to par to the degree it should be. I do not use most stuff I learned in "basic school' , but reading and some math was definitely important. As well as some foreign languages. GEN Z is alright, I'm a millennial of nearly 42. Exactly right.

Thank you so much for the sub !!!
Its not mostly about the content people make on youtube or other platforms, its what parents allow their kids to watch.

I guess it gets alarming when young people are alarmed by younger generation.
Yeahhhhhh
dont forget that this generation is already doomed, the younger ones are just fucked more.
